Overview & Reviews
The supercharged Impala SS joins the lineup for 2004. Besides offering 240 horsepower, the SS features a tightened suspension to allow it to take corners with a bit more gusto. Base and LS models have redesigned bench and bucket seats, and a sport appearance package is now available on the base sedan.
- Six-passenger seating availability, good crash test scores, torquey V6 engines.
- Vague steering, soggy suspension on base and LS models, low-buck interior.

Better than Gr. Marquis - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Pat Horton - July 24 - 2:00 amI rented an Impala and it is head over heels better than my new Grand Marquis. Wish I had know about it sooner.

Chevy struck gold - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By wonderwhatznext - July 14 - 10:00 amI have had no problems at all with the vehicle and would buy another one in a heartbeat. It comes as no surprise to me that it has been a sales success. I am often dissapointed with Consumers Reports biasses torwards Japanese automakers, as I test drove a Camry and an Accord and still was more impressed by my Impala.

Kens New Chevy Impala - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Kensakad2 - June 23 - 2:00 amSince buying this car, I have driven in the snow and wet pavments and I am very impressed with the cars proformance and stopping ability. On a long trip of over 100 miles, I got about 29 mpg and thats quite acceptable to me. The one draw back to me is driver visibility, the post and rearview mirror are in the way.

Good Family Car - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Malcom - February 4 - 10:00 amNo problems so far, good solid car. Larger then the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, plus it comes with a V6 compared to their V4. Big truck, big interior. Fits four adults plus a baby seat with ease. You can put a stroller in the truck and still have room for the groceries. Only gripe, no lights in glove box, under the hood or in the truck.
