Excelelnt handler . Have made many road trips and have yet to get less than 33 mpg-and that is driving at 75-80 mph. To go 500 - 600 on a tank of gas is awesome. Very smooth on the road, keep your radio turned up or this car will putyou to sleep.

  • Six Months In - Glad to have it! - 2003 Chevrolet Impala

We purchased this 2003 Impala pre-owned in April. The fuel economy is impressive, particularly on long drives out of state. The spaceous cabin and trunk are a plus with the kids. Its nice to be able to drive something sensible yet sporty, and not have to drive a minivan! Im fine with the build quality. Others forget that more impressive builds = more money on the sticker. Its a car! And since all cars depreciate and break, I dont want to pay more than I should.

Ive only owned the Impala for about a month now and I love the gas mileage. It averages between 23 and 29 MPG and I havent had a chance to get it out on the open highway yet. It handles great on curvey roads. Interior could be a little more plush but its OK.

Mine is a 2003 Chevy Impala LS 3.8L with the sport package, leather seats, all power options and a sunroof. It has ample power and the interior is very roomy. It is a very safe car. Overall a very nice car for the money.I am glad I didnt go for that Toyota.

Love the way it rides and handles. I dont like leather, so I have cloth. The only thing I have difficulty with is adjusting the seat because I am short.

This car drives and handles great. My first experience was questionable on rusty brakes from sitting in the dealership yard. I got new brakes on it and tires which made it drive beautifully. To be honest, I saw the car and loved it - the exterior is so noticable but not outrageous. You can point out people who have the Impala be it from looking to the front or back. I like that feel it gives of owning a car with a titled history and a better future. The space, reliability, and fantastic miles per gallon it gets sold me in the end. As a college student and a festive problem child who loves to drive - this is the ultimate car to fit all my needs.

My first experience was with a rental used to help my sister in law. I loved the way the car handled and the comfort and it was exceptional. It was so enjoyable to drive that when we had to repeat the trip 2 wks. later I specifically requested another Impala. This one was even better than the first time as I was more accustomed to it and gas milage increased to a combined city/highway of 31.9 mpg. I started pricing Impalas after that and eventually my wife and I bought a new one. A third trip was planned which was going to involve another rental and of course I told Avis well in advance, that I wanted another Impala.

Bought my 03 Impala 04/20/06. Took it PA the next day. Ran great. Put 1300 miles on it in up and back. Great on gas.32 m/g on high way. Getting 26 m/g in the city. I have two complaints. When turning right or left at a speed between 10 to 15 miles I will feel a quick slip in the steering wheel. The dealer cant feel it. I will take it back and tell him to turn at a slower speed because you dont feel it at a faster speed. Second is that the car feels every bump. Not the smoothest ride I felt anyone else having this problem?. After cutting car off its rough to start right back up.
