Overview & Reviews
There are only minor upgrades in store for the 2003 Impala. New options include a side airbag for the driver and XM Satellite Radio. Remote keyless entry is now standard and four new exterior colors are available. Both base and LS models get new wheel designs.
- Six-passenger seating availability, good crash test scores, torquey V6 engines.
- Vague steering, soggy suspension, low-buck interior.

The Bed Rock of GM Value - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By MikeDeas - April 29 - 7:01 pmI was not initially impressed with this Impalas styling as I thought it was a bit conservative but inoffensive. But a closer look at the contents, prior experience with its 3.8L V-6 (older design) and a test drive converted me out of my 2000 Chrysler LHS which while roomier, and less prone to wind gusts, used 89 octane fuel (vice the 87 octane for this Chevy) and more of it. The Impala LS was also more tightly assembled and to date, Ive had not one problem. GMs current profitability problems certainly werent caused by this Chevy!

So Far, So GREAT!!! - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By dudleydog - April 19 - 2:00 amWell, I picked up a pretty loaded LS a couple of months ago and this car has been everything I expected and more. Roomy and responsive, full of useful features and more. The exterior styling is impressive. The wheels and the spoiler add sportiness to the appearance. Inside, the seats are comfortable and everything is in reach. The RDS radio sounds good and it has a bunch of features as well. Its a very confortable car and ride. The engine is peppy, transmission smooth and mileage so far as been around 21-22 mostly city. For the dollar, its a great value.

Still pretty new, but . . . - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By John VS - April 14 - 10:00 amour Impala is a wonderful vehicle. We wanted something quiet to drive, roomy, with good gas mileage. We got that and more. On the highway, we can speak softly and listen to music without the volume way up. Roomy, comfortable back seat for friends or baby car seat, and 30 m.p.g. on the road. We splurged and got the leather and car phone and sunroof, etc., etc. We love the way it handles. Chevy did a lot of things right. Our kids wanted us to get a Camry or Altima - drove top of the line in both, loved the Chev. *way* more. Cant understand reviewing editors here with their cold reviews. We sold our Mazda. Love it so far (only had it <30 days).

Parker Impala Express - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By kirbyj - March 7 - 7:41 pmThe Impala LS is the perfect car for the budget minded family who still likes the acceleration, safety, comfort and good gas mileage for a larger car. My car has cloth seats which was the selling point plus an average 25 mpg in a city/hwy scenario but I have gotten 30 plus on the highway at 75mph. The sound system is great and the ABS brakes and tire imflation system is standard. All this for under $13,600 makes it delightful on the pocket book and very reasonable to insure. Five can ride comfortably although I would not want to attempt a cross country trip with that many and the trunk is large and roomy. It is not a luxury car but the price for what you get makes it very appealing.

Impala LS Sport - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By SaabDriver - March 4 - 8:54 pmThis is a great car. It comes with the LS sport package(Corvette tail lights, carbon-fibre interior trim, little Impala logos on the door panels on the inside, shiny exaust tip, 16" sporty 5 spoke wheels and lower front fascia extensions. The interior is really big, even though I like small cars better.

Happy owner - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By JoeyDee - November 19 - 2:00 amWe have owned our Impala for a year, and so far it has proven to be one of the best cars either my wife or myself has owned.I have driven sports cars all my life and was reluctant to buy a "Family" car. Our Impala has enough "get up and go" to keep me happy and enough room and comfort to keep our family happy.

Great Ride - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By sjpioneer - November 19 - 2:00 amThis care is fantastic. Its smooth/ sleek ride makes it a blast to ride for hours. Controls are easy to get used to. plenty of room to enjoy company. ONly problem is that the tourque of the engine makes it little hard to get going in the snow in Drive, even with TRAC control

FAMILY CAR - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By FAMILYGUYB - October 30 - 2:00 amThis car is a nice family car. The interior is nice and I especially enjoy the high end stereo system. The car has decent pickup and passing power. The only problem being a thud when the driver window goes up in extra cold (below 40) weather. The best part was, with incentives, I was able to purchase the car for $17,000.
