This Year's Model Updates:

Now into its third year of production, the Impala soldiers on as Chevrolet's bread-and-butter family sedan. Minor upgrades this year include standard dual-zone air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo and LATCH child seat tether anchors. A leather-accented 60/40 split bench seat will be available later this year on LS models, and two new exterior colors have been added.

Pros:
  • Six-passenger seating availability, good crash test scores, torquey V6 engines.
Cons:
  • So-so styling, wallowy suspension,low-buck interior.

I had bought this as a used program car with 10,000 miles approx. The car has since given me no trouble! The performance, handling and design of the car are top notch. If I could by a new one, Id do it now, but my next is either an SUV or another Impala. The car is a base model with few perks, but that is less to go wrong....increasing the reliability. This car is well worth the money and the made in America fact is a plus! Thanks Chevrolet

This car has it all. Luxury, fuel economy, options and.........noises! I love this car but I have had annoying creaks and cracks along the way. The brakes a very loud and have gotten worse. Dealer says they cannot change them as per GM.....well see about that. I bough this car black with tan leather interior. People still freak out over it when I drive by or park it somewhere. Fuel economy is outstanding for a car this size.

We bought this vehicle a year ago. We have taken it on several road trips with the kids. The ride has been very confortable and fuel economy reasonable given the average speed of our travels. We are extremely happy with it. This vehicle replaced a Camry we had owned which turned out to be a lemon.

When I bought this car I had a little question mark in my head - now I have a big smile on my face! This is the best sedan on the road - PERIOD. I drive 65/100 miles a day (Local,Highway,City) and look at all the "non" American four door vehicles that cost thousands more yet have less room, power and comfort. I laugh as I pass them by. The Impala LS is the best kept secret around. I have ordered an SS and cant wait!!!

Great buy for the money. Excellent gas mileage for a full size car. Very comfortable, but not slooppy handling.

I just got my Impala. Hey everyone, this is 2003 now, dont compare it to and old version of the Impala. It rocks and looks good too! Lots of room, but sharp looking and drives well for me. I dont even feel the tranny top out it is so smooth.

Comfort on long trips A++++! We love our Impala for its style, speed and performance. It took me a while to get used to the quick acceleration at traffic signals! Wow! The heated seats are WONDERFUL in the winter. The only thing I find a bother is the emergency brake pedal. My foot hits it when entering and exiting m

The car is solid and rides nice. Good for long distances. In quick turns, the back suspension feels like its tracking is off. Been plagued by minor electrical problems since purchase, windshield washer that would turn on with left signal use, remote entry system receiver failed, instrument cluster problems such as resetting while driving and broken tach. On third instrument cluster. So far, all covered under warranty. Just worried that these minor items are a hint at something major.
