This Year's Model Updates:

Changes for the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette consist of an enlarged glovebox, added sound insulation, the addition of bigger brakes with cross-drilled brake rotors for the Magnetic Ride Control option, and the availability of new two-tone leather seating with embroidered accents. Two special editions debut as well: an Indy Pace Car convertible and a Ron Fellows Z06, the latter inspired by a successful Corvette driver in the American Le Mans series.

Pros:
  • World-class performance at bargain pricing, daily-driver livability, excellent ergonomics, very good build quality.
Cons:
  • Cockpit lacks pizzazz and has too much hard plastic, ultra-performance Z06 looks too similar to standard Corvette.

  • Amazing bang for the buck, especially used - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

Found my Lemans Blue 07 Z with 4400 miles on it in 09, certified dealer in Idaho. Searched long time for this rare color, bought it sight unseen had it shipped to SoCal. Never looked back, have 18k on it now, probably 3-4k of that is on the track, only place to actually use this car the way it was meant to be used. Great Car! Upgraded oil sump to that of 09 models, but besides that the car is basically stock, and runs great on the street and track. I have a great mechanic that keeps it maintained so that helps. But very reliable car. Would recommend in a minute, especially to anyone wanting to experiment with some HPDE track days. Just have the heads checked! (see below)

  • Youd Be Surprised! - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

I purchased my Vette used, with 25K miles. For a driving machine you would have to spend a lot more to better this car. Fast, great handling, reliable all what you expect. But what surprised me was that on long highway road trips I got 30 MPG averaging 75 MPH. My wifes 1.8L turbo VW Jetta doesnt get that. But then my BMW 540 beat her car in road mileage. I average 22 MPG with 50/50 intown/highway around Atlanta. This vehicle is great! The number of vehicles that are faster you can count on your fingers and cost twice the Vettes new retail!

  • Wow - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

This was my seventh Vette purchase. What a blast. There is no comparing this car after 20 months of ownership to any of my previous Vettes. What more can I say. Ill leave it at wow.

  • Great 2007 C6 - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

This is my first GM car in 25 years. Its a 2007 coupe with 6M Z51 2LT with about 14K miles. Its a dream come true. GM has really put together a great combination of performance, practicality, and efficiency. Performance in every aspect will make you forget your troubles for awhile when driving. Im pleasantly suprised at the effecient engine compartment layout as well as the well placed traditional interior controls, right where they should be. The interior, while good, could use a few improvements. However, overall, this is a great car. Only a slight roof sqeak and a differental noise, both corrected with known fixes.

  • Still Fun 50 years later - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

My first Corvette was a 1957 that I sold in 1979 to buy my Home. I now have a new 2007 Coupe that was worth waiting for. It looks and drives just the way I want it to. Just enough power to get in trouble with. I drive the Corvette to work in good weather. Its the best feeling to drive a car that you love, even if its just to work. Jay Leno said it best "if you dont like the interior, buy a nice Dinette set."

  • Best Vett Yet - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

I have owned Corvettes since my first in 1974. I bought it new upon my return from Vietnam. I traded my 2004 in on this one and it is by far the best one I have owned. My next one may be the new ZR1 that just came out, but I am not sure.

  • Trim / Molding Windows and Differential - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette
    By -

I guess I can start by saying this car is my mid-life crisis car, anyway the car performs everytime time I put my foot into. It fires like a bullet, no complaints for power, but there are some other problems so beware. My vehicle has had molding on the driver & passengers side replace twice for peeling. Front windshield crack and replaced due to body stress as descibe in my documentation. Rear differential went out grining noise when backing up or going around curves. Dealer wants to add rear differential TSB-additive waste of time. My passenger door has a continous rattle in the center of the panel with very little volume on speakers. GM fix is adding foam to interior of door, doesnt work.

  • Better as time passes - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

My first Corvette was a 1995 Coupe which I had for 7+ years. I bought it because I thought the targa top would be a good combination coupe/convertible. The cowl shake with the targa out was unacceptable. So I went for a convertible when I bought the 2007. It is remarkable how Corvettes just get better with every succeeding iteration. This convertible is quieter, stiffer, and smoother by far. When we picked up the 07 my wife remarked that she actually forgot she was riding in a Corvette. I bought the car with just over 34,000 miles on it. Ive had no problems so far. Im impressed with the ride, the acceleration, the brakes, the styling, etc. I still miss my 95, but the 07 is a quantum leap ahead. Corvettes are still a screaming bargain on the used car market.
