Changes for the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette consist of an enlarged glovebox, added sound insulation, the addition of bigger brakes with cross-drilled brake rotors for the Magnetic Ride Control option, and the availability of new two-tone leather seating with embroidered accents. Two special editions debut as well: an Indy Pace Car convertible and a Ron Fellows Z06, the latter inspired by a successful Corvette driver in the American Le Mans series.
- World-class performance at bargain pricing, daily-driver livability, excellent ergonomics, very good build quality.
- Cockpit lacks pizzazz and has too much hard plastic, ultra-performance Z06 looks too similar to standard Corvette.

No more water washes the speakers when you open the trunk, That problem power antenna is gone. And every thing I used to have to add on is already there. Ie. Nice stereo thats loud enough and amplifiers amd mp3. This has it all and its darn nice.

Its fun to drive and reliable. Impressive acceleration, surprisingly smooth ride, comfortable/roomy interior, and great design. I strongly recommend this car.

10 years and still love it - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette
By Older Guy - March 5 - 8:04 amThis car is amazing. I am a long time owner of imports, mostly Porsches, Alfas, BMW... I intentionally bought a base model 1LT because I wanted the fewest things that could go wrong. I simply wasnt ready to buy any American car with all the accessories and options. My worries were for naught. Ive driven the car for 35K miles on long trips and day trips. Im retired so I dont drive it to work. The car has been virtually trouble free and the maintenance costs are quite low. Usually just an oil change annually ($100 prox) I did have all the fluids changed at 5 years even though the mileage was still quite low. ($800 but Ive figured how how to get it done for a lot less) The manual transmission is fun and precise. Its in character with the car and my driving style. Seats are comfortable enough to drive for 4 or 5 hours without fatigue or other issues. Ive never wanted for any of the options that come with higher trim levels. Base radio/CD works just fine, even the base model comes with power windows, brakes, stability control, etc. I still had a fair amount of trad left on the OEM tires, but replaced them after 8 years just because of age. Replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season run flats. So far, so good. Much quieter than oem Goodyears. Id consider a brand new Corvette but cant see any reason to get rid of this one.

Best Sports for the Money - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

The driving experience is absolutely refreshing, because the engine has so much torque available at any speed. The seats are comfortable along with the close proximity of the user controls which make drving the car more pleasureble. The most impressive feat of the Corvette is its ability to give very good highway miles per gallons in parallel with an engine that put creates 400HP. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a solid Amreican-made sports car.

By SinisterC6 - February 4 - 11:34 pmThis is my first performance car and I must say I am impressed. Everything about is so well built and designed, GM really takes pride in their Corvettes. The best part is how versitile this car is, comfortable yet functional, fast but controlable. I have the Z51 suspension and I have taken turns at 3X the speed limit with the car still holding stong. Though it can be driven year round if you live in the northern climates like I, Id recomend a winter beater. The run flats get very slippery in colder temps, I have not driven the car in rain or snow but im told it holds its own. The car has just amazing, If you can buy one.

It has amazing acceleration, corners like it is on rails, gets 30MPG on the highway, has no rattles or squeeks, has great visual impact, has a very comfortable ride and seats, lots of gee-whiz technology like a head up display, and is just a very rock solid car.

I have had Porsches, Ferarri, and various old muscle cars which just do not compare to the overall power plus daily fun to drive performance of this car. I keep reading about plastics, cheap interior, doesnt compare to Porsches, Ferarris, Lambos, etc. Give me a break! Its half the price or less! There is no other car I have owned which comes close to what this car can do for the money spent. This really is the car with the best bang for the buck. I would purchase another if I did not have to wait another 10 months again just to pay premium over MRSP.

Wow - Outstanding - 2007 Chevrolet Corvette
By Keith - January 7 - 8:39 pmJust bought this car 2 months ago and now have 800 miles. This car is everything you have read about it. Excellent performance, accleration, comfort, and economical for a sports car. Name another 400hp car that gets 28 mpg on the highway, 0-60 in under 5 seconds, and is very comfortable as a daily driver and on the highway. Monterey Red with cashmere interior and polished aluminun wheels looks great! I got the 6-speed which is a blast to drive. XM radio with Bose stereo sound great as well. Rear luggage can easily stow 2 sets of golf clubs with room for the removable top. Very quiet on the highway on most surfaces. The run flat tires are a bit noisy on concrete.
