Colorado - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Postman - December 6 - 11:06 pmVery good power and mileage. I get 20.5 to 21+ MPG during combination highway and city driving during warmer months. Got 23 to 24 MPG on the interstate. Wheels are a little cheap with a large plastic center piece. A very bullish appearance for a smaller truck, looks tough compared to other brands. Console needs to be enlarged.

Decent but could be better - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By olcrank - December 4 - 11:38 amEverything about this truck is pretty good. Nothing is falling off, it handles and drives pretty well, its good looking, just not exciting. Chevy could make a few changes and have a great truck instead of a bland truck.

Regular Cab LS / Automatic w/3.5 - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By KC - November 29 - 12:10 pmThe truck rides and drives just like a midsize car, not like what most people think of for a pickup trip. I have the base suspension, not the stiff off road suspension, yet I have 4WD. That makes for a much smoother ride. Even my wife thinks it drives and rides very well. The seats are supportive yet comfortable. So far, a great purchase for our family! :)

A true American shops at home! - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By George Bourque - November 25 - 4:19 pmI have driven the 05 Colorado 5cyl.w/auto & 3.43 gears for 2.5 yrs now w/no problems. Ive personalized some w/16x8 American racing wheels that had counterbored to fit 2,5yrs now. Added SS fender trim to existing flares. SS bedrails and caps sprayed bedliner and many more mods. As to performance Ive hauled 5000 lbs manlifts with this truck while loaded w/over 1200lbs of tools in the bed & cab. the tools have in the cab for allthis time and I still avg.19-21mpg. I add Im not a litefoot driver. I would seriously consider in the future replacing this truck with another Colorado. Over the long run this one thing the X-perts are not the best source of info. you should speak to the horses mouth.

Great Truck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Dave - October 23 - 5:10 amI did a lot of research between the Tundra, Frontier and Colorado, and with the latest GM discounts the Colorado wins because it gets better MPG. If you need to tow anything over 5000# you really need a full size pickup, and although the Colorado tows less that the Tundra and Frontier, it feels just as tough.

WOW - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Renorad - September 11 - 10:00 amI purchased my Colorado in July of 2004 and I have yet to get less than 20 miles per Gallon. The transmission is smooth and there is plenty of power. I live in the mountains and have no problems climbing the hills. I recommend this truck to anyone looking for a midsize pickup. p.s. to all those dads....the car seat fits easily in the back!

I5 Colorado - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Jim - September 2 - 4:32 pmI bought the vehicle new and have had it 2.5 years. In that time an axle seal has failed twice, the a/c fan motor once and now it has the drivers window, door lock and fob problem. After a new BCM, fuse block and a $400 bill it still doesnt work. Seven times now Ive fixed the problem by taking the door module out, spraying the contacts, put it together and all works fine - for a day or two. This is an ongoing problem with the Colorado that Chevy wont recognize. Also the thing sounds at 62000 miles like what my old Explorer did at 120K miles.

2005 Chevy Colorado, Oh No! - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Kevin - August 7 - 1:40 pmI purchased a brand new 2005 Chevy Colorado during the employee pricing. I should have walked across the street to the Toyota dealership. My truck has been in the shop over 20 times for AC, CD player, radio not working, tire balance, cruise control, AC fan only working on speed 4, broken seat handle, leaking rain water in the cab. The truck looks great and that is about it. I cant believe one vehicle can have so many problems. Never again! Sorry Chevy!
