Average truck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By golden - February 3 - 10:36 pmThis is a pretty average truck. It doesnt really excel in any area. I went on a trip to Wisconsin and was driving thru the mountains and the little 4 cylinder engine could not take it. Its comfortable inside but not great. Long trips are tiring. The manual is pretty good but needs a broader range of shifting. And what is up with no key holes on the passenger door?!!!

Uncomfortable ride - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Dave - January 23 - 3:36 pmI purchased my Colorado as a replacement for my S10. As a long time Chevrolet customer I was very disappointed in the ride. My standard cab seat is very uncomfortable to the point I have been trying to trade or get rid of it already. My backs taking a beating. Other than poor ride it seems to handle good and has been dependable. I sought help from the dealer and from Chevrolet without relief. Factory said too bad thats the way its made and there is no defect. Looking for something else

First Chevrolet Truck Experience - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By BWSwmr - January 17 - 5:49 pmI received this truck in May as a company vehicle, and since picking it up new, it has 25,000 miles on it. Ive experienced only one problem with this vehicle - the coating on the radio buttons chips off, exposing the white plastic behind. All in all, the quality has been un-like that of any other American car Ive ever driven. Its solid, well designed, the interior is well executed, and its extremely quiet. I do find the driver and passenger seats extremely uncomfortable however - all though its a truck, and sits up high, the seats are essentially on the floor - leaving me with my knees in my chest when driving. Perhaps making all seats power would fix this??

Fun in Florida - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Joe in FL - January 16 - 3:28 amIve had the truck for about 6 months now and it is awesome! The 3.5L is worth the money... if you like performance and fuel economy, that is. My city and 80mph highway driving continually averages better than 20mpg. This is good for me because I have a lead foot. The A/C is cold, and cools quickly (and I live in Miami). It looks very, very much like a Honda inside, and classy with silver accents, which is to say better than a Honda. Maybe Im easily pleased - go to a dealer and see for yourself. Im trying to think of something bad to say about it.... (nothing yet).

Its about time - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By purdueguy - January 2 - 12:30 amThis was my first truck purchase and I wasnt disappointed. The Z71 package provides a stiff ride, which reminds me that Im in a truck. I get better gas mileage that my previous two SUVs. The truck is the perfect size. The baby seat fits in the rear seat, and I have no problem with parking (even in downtown Chicago). Overall, I would recommend this truck to anyone.

Ricks 2006 Colorado - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Rick - December 30 - 10:05 amI like the truck very much. It does everything I would like in a truck. I would recommend buying one, or a GMC since they are about the same. Especially planning ahead and using the GM Master Card and Employee Pricing.

Americal built - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Pete - December 20 - 11:50 pmI have driven this truck in summer, fall and winter it has been reliable, safe, and very useful. I have had NO trouble with it at all. The fit and finish are comparable with the Toyota and Nissan that I test drove. It is quiter than the Ford and more economical than the Dodge.

2005 GMC Canyon - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By chevylover1965 - December 11 - 5:31 pmThis truck is a cheaply built vehilce. Most notably the air conditioning is junk. Many owners are complaining about the vent temperature surging from cold to warm along with a whistling noise eminating from under the dash. GM will not admit they have a problem. The dealer told me they cant fix it. So Im stuck.

Good Bang for Buck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Colorado LS - December 2 - 3:11 pmIve had this truck for only 5 months but it has been great so far. It gets great gas mileage (22highway) for a 4x4 truck and 5 cylinder engine (also comes in 2x4, and 4 cylinder engine). This truck is small, drives more like a car than any other truck I have driven, very manuverable and convenient. Compared to any other trucks on the market I think that the Colorados and Canyons (GMC same thing, different label) are the best deal.
