No problems, plenty of get up and go. Just carried a load of sand and mulch with no problems. Engine runs smooth. Nothing fancy, just a nice little truck. About $4K less than a Tacoma. MPG 17-21, with very little highway driving. Time will tell if it will last the 8-10 years I keep my vehicles.

I bought the Xtreme package, it really gets a lot of looks. The truck has not had any real problems yet, and I now have 6500 miles on it. There is a ringing noise when the A/C is on. The dealer says the entire dash has to be removed to fix the noise. I really do not want the dash taken out, I am afraid the dash will rattle. The interior materials are very cheap. The truck is fun to drive. My intial MPG was almost 25 on the highway, but mileage has now dropped to about 20 MPG.

  • Nothing Special but a Great Truck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

I have only had the truck for two months, and I am finding the more I drive it the more I like it. It is not an impressive vehicle, but is a great daily driver and gets good fuel mileage for a 4x4. I drive about 500 miles a week and am getting better mileage than I ever got in a 2 wheel- drive Blazer 4.3L without losing too much torque.

I really like the fuel economy this truck delivers. Even when towing my trailer, it still does quite well. The 225 hp engine is a nice performer. I love the yellow paint and the sport interior.

Had my calorado for 2 months now. Excellent little truck with plenty of power. Rides a little stiff. Sharp looking ride though. Interior is cheap looking, but otherwise an all around nice truck. No regrets, yet!! Try one, I think you,ll like it!

Good space inside. Great ride quality, very quiet. I dont know why most "professional" reviewers dont like the seats. The upgraded leather package seat are fantastic! Some inside features could use redesign, but mostly they are the "little things" The cupholders are horrible, useless! Cruise control arm is confusing. No footrest/deadpedal on drivers side gets annoying on longer drives. Too much gray plastic in general. The door panels are rough, and the armrest is uncomfortable. Great stereo. Go for the XM. Awesome looks, and very solid fuel economy. Great backseat utility in the crew cab model. Ive had four buddies in the truck 6ft+ in the backseat 3 wide and its fine for local drives.

I traded in an 2002 TRD off road 4x4 V6 5 speed extended cab Toyota Tacoma for my Chevy Colorado last year. I must say that Im satisfied with this truck. I get better miles to the gallon than the V6 Tacoma did, plus my turning radius is much tighter than before because Im running a regular cab now, instead of extended cab. I replaced the stock factory tires that came with the truck for some 31x10.50-15 mudsters. Doing the tire switch solved most of the ground clearance problems I was having when off roading in the forest. My only problems with the truck so far have been: a rough idle engine miss for a few minutes during cold starts. This happened about 3 times during the cold winter months.

This truck is perfect for any person. It is not too big, and not too small. It has power when needed, and yet is just as smooth as driving a car, actually probably smoother. I love it!

  • Great Truck for the price - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

I was looking for a decent mid-size truck with decent gas mileage. I narrowed it down to 3 trucks. Colorado, Frontier and the Tacoma. I ruled the Dakota out because their V6 model does not have enough ponies and their V8 is a gas hog and has less or only slightly more HP then its competitors. I really wanted the Tacoma or Frontier becasue both have great HP for a V6. But the price for these trucks is outrageous because the dealers will not deal. I went with the Colorado because of price. My truck stickered at $29,500. I paid $22,000 because of the rebates and GM employee price that was offered. You can get a Colorado for $7,000 to $8,000 cheaper then its competition, so its a no brainer.
