Overview & Reviews
Chevrolet fiddles with the trim levels -- last year's base model is now the LS, while last year's LS model is now the LT.
- Low price, nimble handling, ample headroom, logical control layout, available MP3 player, loads of cargo room in hatchback models.
- Not much power, imprecise manual shifter, side airbags not available.

More than I asked for - 2005 Chevrolet Aveo
By Happycust - February 27 - 1:03 pmThe LT with the manual transmission is a great car-period. Roomier than the VW Golf and the manual shifter is incredibly positive in its feel and throw. Build quality and finish are excellent. Controls are logical and well placed. The interior is spacious and comfortable, even the back seat will comfortably seat 2 six foot adults. The engine is smooth and quiet, with a wide power/torque band. Acceleration is very good. The car is fun to drive and very forgiving in its handling. Overall after the first month I have to admit that Im atonished at the value this car provides. The only drawback is that in 50MPH plus crosswinds the car can be tricky because of its small size/weight.

Big car Little Bucks - 2005 Chevrolet Aveo
By busdriver - November 30 - 1:23 pmI bought the stripped down hatchback to save gas and wear and tear on my Wrangler. My wife had hers for a week when I decided I needed one like hers. While she has put 3000 miles going to town and back with the grandkids, I have over 7000 miles already commuting. We paid $8950 each for them, and so far, no problems whatever. I love the roomy interior and ergonomics. Plenty of power on the freeway, with a ride like a much more expensiver car. When and if I use this one up, I will definitly get another.

Great car - 2005 Chevrolet Aveo
By todi - October 19 - 10:00 amLove the car, great handling ability, comfortable, smooth, reasonably quiet, an absolutely fun car to drive and take a trip in. Has all the basic conveniences you need. Automatic trans. shifts well, has enough zip out on the road, althought not as much as larger more powerful cars, but very adequate. A joy to own. Would buy another one without question.

Not a Putt Putt! Awesome Little Car! - 2005 Chevrolet Aveo
By Nancy - March 14 - 7:53 amThis is a wonderful little car that GM/Chevy has come out with. We have the LT hatchback, with automatic transmission. It drives smooth and is quite peppy - you floor it and it takes off! I have driven 4 cylinders before that just wont MOVE when you put the pedal to the metal. Not this baby, shes not a putt-putt, shes world class for a subcompact! Its comfy and roomy - my 64" nephew fits beautifully in it! We traded a gas guzzling Ford F150 for it and have not regretted it! It SIPS gas, it will cost us ONE THIRD of what the Ford cost us weekly in gas! For the money this is one great little car! If you want a subcompact thats cheap in price but high in quality, buy an Aveo!

Excellent value, great gas mileage - 2005 Chevrolet Aveo
By KHC1930 - January 10 - 12:46 amHave had car for 3 months, plenty of city and highway driving - seems to be pretty well built. Gas mileage is incredible - even with A/C on - getting about 26 to 28 in the city with an Auto transmission. Car can do 80 MPH on highway with ease, complains a bit passing at that speed, but all in all, a decent ride for the money. Good job Chevy.
