Overview & Reviews
A regular-wheelbase 760i model has been added to complement the long-wheelbase 760Li -- it features all the power and amenities of the top-line model in a more manageable size. The 745i and 745Li models are freshened with new alloy wheels, and are available with all-season run-flat tires as a no-charge option. All 7 Series models can add adaptive headlights as an option, and Sirius Satellite Radio as a dealer-installed accessory. BMW has made revisions to the iDrive control system to simplify various functions, and the automatic climate control system now has a humidity sensor. Finally, the outside mirrors get a power-fold function this year.
- Superb driving dynamics, highly advanced technology, dizzying array of features, sumptuous furnishings.
- Toys can be distracting from the task at hand, confusing secondary controls, odd styling details.

No Longevity Here - 2004 BMW 7-Series
By mylast7 - September 12 - 5:07 pmAfter coming off 315K miles on a 1992 BMW 735i, we were anxious to have a newer version. Interior trim is cheap, as noted by kick panels and sill plates "interior colored coverings" coming off to reveal a different color underneath. Dont touch the sill plates with your shoes! Car has 85K on it and has had 2 fuel pumps replaced within 100 miles of each other ($1,283.82). Newer BMWs apparently had numerous fuel pump issues. Suspension components, per the dealer, are worn and leaking and need replcement, note these are non-serviceable components. Front thrust rod bushings needed for $1062.46 and rear wisbones need replacement for $1,075. So much for the "driving machine" they taut.

Buyer Beware - 2004 BMW 7-Series
By Gurneyman - August 9 - 2:00 amI bought the 7 Series because I had good luck with my prior BMWs. The car is comfortable and the gadgets are intriging, but beware, this care is incrediby unreliable and has been in the shop almost a whole month now or for 7 visits (including 3 tow ins) to date. Also, BMW does NOT back their car, they refuse to admit there are obvious problems including electrical, ride and other problems.

should have bought a lexus..... - 2004 BMW 7-Series
By bmdoublepooh - May 26 - 2:00 amHorrible experience. Salesperson did not know her product. Car did not live up to my expectations, check engine light eternally on, engine misses at 25-35 mph. Service only temporarily fixes problem then comes back within days. BMW should be ashamed. Should have bought a Lexus like all my associates did.

Lemonade Machine - 2004 BMW 7-Series
By Lakewood - January 1 - 2:00 amI am very disappointed with my purchase. The car has been in for repair 10+ times. The idrive is painfully complicated and I am a gadget freak. I tried to get a value for trade in and was shocked at the depreciation.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE - 2004 BMW 7-Series
By LEB - December 10 - 2:00 amI owned a 1994 BMW740i, and this car has given me some many headaches that i dont recommend anyone to buy it, and even less to buy it from VOB. Save yourselves a lot of aggravation and dont buy a BMW! My complaints were ignored repeatedly by VOB and by BMW of America.
