Lauries New Car - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By UTRXMR - December 9 - 2:00 amMy wife totalled my SLK. We needed a four-seater this time around. We chose the 2004 525 over a 2003 530 and a 2004 E-320. My ex-wife had totalled two E-320s in the last few years, so we decided a change was necessary!! I had read the car magazines about the 5-series,and was concerned about its styling and controller controversies. But, we loved the styling. The BMW looks great in black. The electronics are challenging but interesting. I wish it had more power, but the cost of the engine upgrade wasnt worth the extra money.

The new 2004 BMW 5 - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By beamerlady - December 9 - 2:00 amThe handling of this vehicle performs like the 7 with the new sport package, except its cheaper. The comfort is like being on your living room couch. You must drive one to fall in love with it, you will never drive another car again.

04 BMW 545i Great fun - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By TIM4FITNESS - December 3 - 2:00 amI owned the previous version 5 series for 5 years and anxiously waited for this new style to arrive. I ordered the car with Sport package and premium sound. From the moment I took the wheel, this new version handled like nothing else Ive ever driven. Tight and responsive along with great power! The new adaptive steering is awsome! The only issue is that of the still clumsey cupholer. However, this machine is meant for driving, not dining. I love it!

Truly, "The Ultimate Driving Machine" - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By J. English - October 21 - 2:00 amFirst, I am one of those who feels that the design of the car from every angle, is classic, well thought out and distinctive. I also like the firm ride and handling capabilities my car has with active steering and sport suspension. I have never felt that I am not in complete control. I really believe that called upon to perform, each of the vehicle systems will react as designed...that does alot for my confidence in all driving situations.

Honest Review - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By dstompkins - October 21 - 2:00 amDrives fantastic. I dont like the look of the back end but the rest of the car is beautiful. I predict that the new 5 (and the new 7 & 6) will be the norm in styling in a few years. The car looks much better with wider tires (ie sport package).

BMW 530i - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By DFWRaider - October 17 - 10:00 amThis is a great car for those who love to drive. The handling is the best Ive ever driven (better than the previous model 530), and the car sticks to the road even in the fastest and sharpest turns. The interior layout is a big improvement over the previous model because of higher quality materials, more luxurious layout, and fewer buttons crowding the dash.

WOW OMG! - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By bimmerfan - October 17 - 10:00 amThis is the most fun car I have ever driven. I love the way exterior looks. It is definately in the top 5 best looking cars on the road, definately the car with a serious "PRESENCE"! I- Drive is very easy and can be learned in a very short time. The comfort seats are awesome. Premium sound is awesome. I test drove MB E500 and it is a very nice car as well but this new 5 series is definately more fun to drive, handles better and to me, it looks way more interesting.

E60 aka "Dire Wolf" - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By SK Davis - September 17 - 10:34 pmMy first BMW, but not my last. I bought this car with 66k miles. Tight like a drum--no rattles, no issues, just a clean used car. Says something about design AND previous owner. The 5 is the touchstone of sports sedans. Responsive, tight, and the 3.0 is quick, but not impressively fast (nor is it meant to be). Sports package brings it all together. And the iDrive? Get over it, iDrive is convenient, easy, and keeps the dash layout clean and elegant. I recently did a 1000 mile trip with my wife, 3 kids, and a full trunk. 29 mpg @ 82 mph. Not bad. Could be better round town, though. Oh, and the color? Copper Metallic. Very cool.
