Overview & Reviews
A power moonroof and Myrtle wood trim are now standard on all models. Brushed aluminum column trim is available as a no-cost option. Front lumbar support has been added to the Premium Package for all 325 models; a power top is now standard on the 325Ci convertible; and new star-spoke wheels are standard on the 325Ci coupe and convertible. The 330Ci convertible gets an auto-dimming rearview mirror, lumbar support and a universal garage door opener as standard. This year, the sequential manual gearbox (SMG) is available only on 3.0-liter models, and only in combination with the Sport Package. Buyers can now order both the Performance and Premium Packages together. Lastly, a flat tire warning and white indicator lights are now standard on all models.
- Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials exude luxury, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
- Still costs more than most of its competitors, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity, confusing array of options and packages.

So far so fun - 2005 BMW 3-Series
By Koho17 - January 28 - 5:16 pmI have owned the 2005 330xi for just two weeks. Each time I get behind the wheel it is more enjoyable than the last. It has exceeded my expectations and can only hope it delivers reliability in the future. Although ownership has been brief, I have been nothing but impressed with the product.

PDX SILVER BMW WAGON - 2005 BMW 3-Series
By Jow Smith - November 2 - 10:36 pmOne of the few wagons we tested that you did not feel your driving experience was being taken away as punishment for buying a wagon.

By Vroom2 - August 16 - 3:20 pmTraded my E36 for this one and all that was wrong with the old one has been fixed with this model. Much better trim quality and power delivery than previous model. Definitely the best car Ive ever owned and the most fun and stylish way to get from A to B.

Point and shoot fun - 2005 BMW 3-Series
By R. L. Swenson - April 28 - 8:50 amThis is a drivers car. If a soft insulated ride is your cup of tea, try one of the other luxo-cruisers. But if you love outstanding handling, sportscar acceleration and some of the finest seats on the planet, look no further. Our 330i came with the sport package which includes the sport seats, performance tires and sport steering wheel. It also came with the premium and cold weather packages. The handling is on a par with the best sports cars on the market. Interior details are tailored to the enthusiast driver but the center console cup holders (when holding a beverage) can get in the way of the shifting arm. And shift you will! The fantastic Steptronic 5 speed automatic is wonderful.

Fun in the Sun - 2005 BMW 3-Series
By Richard - April 1 - 12:23 pmThis is definetely a fun car. The engine (184hp) is plenty enough to move you forward and allows relaxed cruising while the top is down. I dont think there is a need to purchase the lager engine coming with the 330i. Quality is superb and it is amazing how stable and stiff the car is without an aluminum roof. Buy a wind deflector and you wont experience any draft while the top is down.

Who cares if the trunk wont open? - 2005 BMW 3-Series
By OhioBeemer - January 12 - 1:23 pmWhat an amazing car....quick in acceleration, handling, braking; great to look at, especially with the top down; minor problem with trunk switch came on early, but easily fixed. Fit and finish is fabulous, far superior to previously owned US and British cars, comparable to Japanese manufacturers.
