This Year's Model Updates:

A more powerful 2004 Audi TT 3.2 joins the lineup with a 250-horsepower V6 and a new "Direct Shift Gearbox," an automanual with technology that promises both smooth automatic operation and quick manual gear changes. A pair of gills at each front corner, a larger rear spoiler, unique wheels and a rear fascia accent distinguish the TT 3.2 from its stablemates. You can get the 3.2 in both coupe and roadster form. Also this year, xenon headlamps are now standard on all models.

Pros:
  • Distinctive styling, cutting-edge interiors, available all-wheel drive, optional Bose sound system is superb.
Cons:

  • BREAK SYSTEM SQUEALS!! - 2004 Audi TT
    By -

I purchased my TT back in September - back then, when the temperature was mild, I had no problem with my breaks. Now that winter has arrived, anytime the temperature is below 40 degreees Fahrenheit, my breaks produce a HIGH pitch squeal, as if someone is running their fingers down a chalkboard!!! The dealership told me that "sometimes things like this happens to cars." WHAT?? A car worth $35,000 should not sound like its in pain. Not even a $15,000 Corolla squeals when its cold outside. If this problem has occurred with anyone else, PLEASE let me know - If I would have known about this in the first place, I would have NEVER wasted my money on this car.

  • The most fun car Ive ever owned - 2004 Audi TT

We own 3 convertibles and this is by far the most fun. The body style is unique, looks like a more traditional roadster.

I love the style of my TT, it handles excelently around curves and the acceleration is perfect.

  • What a blast! - 2004 Audi TT

The ride is very firm but not punishing, even driving 800 miles in a day. Steering is immediate and has excellent road feel. The suspension improvements give the car excellent handling. Altitude does not seem to have an effect on the pulling power of the V-6. This car draws a LOT of attention from other motorists, so be prepared to answer questions when you stop. The dsg handles up and downshifts with no fuss. A nice feature is being able to downshift by pulling the paddles by the steering wheel to use engine braking, even when the transmission is in D or S. Fuel economy is very good for a high performance car, averaging 26 mpg so far.

Pickup is good but a sports car witout stick shift is nothing....those shifter peddles are useless

  • Lemon Law the TT - 2004 Audi TT
    By -

I am lemon lawing this vehicle! Nothing works correctly, my TT has been out of service for 23 days and I have only had it for 10 months. It was a brand new car when I bought it. If you buy this car, be prepared for lots of time at the shop and plan on driving a loaner.

Non conformist style. Geared for the individualist. Driving not for "xtreme"ist pleasure but raucous to plain old fun is available.

  • Problems with Audi TT - 2004 Audi TT
    By -

Not a 2004 TT, but a 2000. Problems encountered out of warranty: AC Compressor - $1,500. Cooling Fan - $300. Belt Tensioner - $280. Insulation fell into AC Blower - $275. Broken Wire to Turbo - $115. CD Changer Stopped Working - $350. Oyxgen Sensors - $700. Electrical problems come & go. Car is serviced regularly, never abused and looks like new, but hesitate to go more than 25 miles from home.
