"535i Warranty Coverage"
at 51,000 miles, just as warranty expired, message on car info center stated possible drivetrain failure, and to drive modestly, and take to dealer for service. Keeping my fingers crossed that a major expense was not needed to correct the problem. Good news that the error was due to a software malfunction for the exhaust system, and that was still covered under warranty. No expense to me. Paul Simms was my service advisor, and he was great. He explained the issues and the corrective measures, and kept me updated.

First, the salesperson was nice. I purchased from them a used 2013 BMW ActiveHybrid 5, which was still under warranty (luckily) from Manufacturer and BMW Certified Pre-Owned (probably inspected and approved at this very BMW dealership). While inspecting the vehicle, I did not test the A/C as the weather was cold... after driving back to my home town, I realized the A/C wasnt working. The dealership offered no help, no kind of real apologizes, but simply, "sometimes these things happen". I had to end up having it left for a day at another dealership to get it repaired. They did not offer any kind of gesture to keep their customer happy. BUYER BEWARE. I have bought many cars from many dealerships and many brands, and when something, not even to this magnitude happens, they just all jump on the occasion to keep their customer happy with support, gifts, etc. Here, NOTHING!! and its a BMW dealership! Very disappointed! I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I would still recommend Bob Smith Dealership for purchasing vehicles, but until some improvements are made in Service dept., I would not recommend vehicle servicing there.

I also like that they will explain what is most important and what can wait to cut down the cost. On my most recent visit Brian the service advisor explained to me based on my mileage I would need a particular service soon and the cost which allows me to be prepared when that time comes. My issues are always handled the first time. Cost and Convenience are really important to me and Brian and the rest of the Service Team always makes that a priority!!!!!
