"Stay Away! They Will Not Give You The Title!"
I would have loved to have written a positive review, but I cannot. My wife and I bought a 2010 subaru legacy in August. We paid in full. We still have not gotten the title (It is November 19th!). We have called them a few times on this and still have not received it. Meanwhile I bought a car in October from another dealership and I received mine 2 weeks after buying it. This will be an issue down the road when we go to sell the car. You have been warned!!!!
"Smooth, No-pressure Car-buying Experience!"
My mother was in the market for a reliable pre-owned Toyota. We shopped around online and she saw a car she liked on the Hartford Toyota website. She called to inquire and spoke to Rosa, who coordinates appointments and serves as a liaison for the sales team. Rosa was very accommodating and pleasant. We scheduled an appointment for the very next day. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Rosa, who introduced us to Jeanette Garcia, our Sales Representative. Both Rosa and Jeanette were very pleasant and knowledgable. We explained our budget to Jeannette, as well as the fact that we felt a used car would work best to keep my mothers monthly payment low. Jeanette showed us that for a few dollars more, my mother would be able to lease a brand new car. She never pressured us into a lease. Instead, she presented us with our options and respectfully gave us space and time to discuss as a family. My mother made the decision to lease a 2016 Toyota Corolla and she couldnt be any happier! The car we initially went to test drive was ten years old. While the used car was beautiful (and impeccably maintained), we felt more at ease knowing that the maintenance and service would be included with the newer, leased car. After choosing my mothers model (she went for the Super White exterior which is gorgeous), it was time to sit down with Eduardo over in the Finance Department. Eduardo made the process as easy and stress-free as possible. He laid out all of the maintenance/service package options, and was never pushy. Once my mother found a package she felt was the best fit, he was able to customize it to her needs. The rest of the staff at Hartford Toyota was also very friendly. We were offered refreshments by team members who we werent directly working with, which made us feel very welcomed and at ease (and showed us what a great team they are). By the time we wrapped everything up, it was almost closing time. We never felt rushed, nor did the time negatively affect our experience. Jeannette scheduled a detailing appointment for later in the week due to there not being enough time to do so before driving the car home that evening. We are very grateful to the entire team over at Hartford Toyota and absolutely recommend them. Thank you for such a great car-buying experience!
"Best Place To Buy Your Toyota!"
Located my new 2016 Tacoma online at Hartford Toyota. Upon my arrival they had just traded this truck to another dealer. All efforts were made to get the truck back. Two days later I was able to take ownership. Knowing how hard it is to find one with a manual transmission, the team at Hartford Toyota went above and beyond to make the customer happy. They are low key and a far cry from many "stealerships" out there! 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Access Cab MT - color: inferno
"Toyota Prius Emergency Repair"
Advised by Triple A after receiving a "jump start" to go to the NEAREST Toyota Prius dealership for immediate service. Called and spoke with Luis Gonzalez who met us on arrival, explained what was needed and made it possible for us to receive IMMEDIATE service as we had a medical appointment that could not be postponed. In and out in slightly over one hour. Price was less than "ball park" charges we researched, car runs beautifully and continues to do so. Highly recommended this service advisor at HARTFORD TOYOTA to family members. Plan to use arrange appointments with Mr. Gonzalez in the future when service is required rather than traveling to the dealership 50 miles away where we originally purchased our Prius 6 years ago.
"Nothing But Bad Experiences "
ut two years ago I bought a certified pre owned corolla through hartford toyota Superstore and I had nothing but troublesome experiences to say in the absolute nicest way. Before I bought my car they did not have the main key for it so they Gave me the car with only the spare (with no remote) and no floor for the trunk exposing the spare tire. I made sure they agreed to give me that main key and the trunk mat, I called the dealership to see what the status of these parts were and they pretended they didnt have any recollection of what I was talking about, even when I asked for my salesman Dave Godutti, so instead of dealing with the dealership again I let it go. Which brings me to last month, one of the head financial employees at Hartford toyota ran into me at a gas station and we got to talking about my experience, his name is Asad or aka Tony Mumtaz. He had me come into the dealership so he can make good on what Dave and the hartford toyota crew did to me, so he made me come back to the dealership THREE times telling the receptionist each time that he didnt have time to deal with me even after telling me to come in at certain times, it has now been a month since he promised me what I already should have had and he keeps dodging me. Im at my witts end with these people, and customers should know about this absolute joke of a dealership.
"Hartford Toyota Superstore Is Great!"
Chip Benyi runs an excellent service department! I find Chip to be honest and trustworthy...so much so that I followed him from another dealership several years ago, and I purchased my most recent car from him (Chip). I trust Chip to recommend the service needed for my car. He never tries to "sell" me something that is not needed, and all service is completed in a timely manner. The service department is staffed my friendly, competent employees, which is another credit to Chip that he attracts quality and qualified employees. I have to drive over 30 minutes to get to Hartford Toyota Superstore, but as long as Chip Benyi is at Hartford Toyota Superstore I will continue to be a (very satisfied) customer.
"Service Department Is Horrible"
I have been a loyal customer of Hartford Toyota since 1984 and have always been a satisfied customer until the last few years, First it is very difficult to speak to a service staff person directly. Phone calls are not returned, The service manager Chip could use lessons in customer service and has no people skills. The technicians here do a great job and I do have confidence in the work that is done but the service advisors and in particular the service manager need to remember that their job is to keep the customer happy. Not returning phone calls and playing the blame game does not look favorably on this dealership. Service is what keeps the customer coming back and this week it was clear to me that as a customer my concerns were not important. They just lost a loyal customer this week.
"Thank You Hartford Toyota Superstore"
Sales Manager Luis Plaza is great. He is a pleasure to talk to.He is the reason we brought of first Camry. On July 7,2015 we brought our second Camry.Luis is some one we always look to see when we service our car.we always find Luis in the dealership just to say hello. He is thoughtful and welcoming to his customers. If there is a problem he will make sure that its fixed to your satisfaction.we thank Luis,General Manager Jim Webster, sales Associate Ian Yuhas, Finance Director Tony Mumtaz, and Accessory Manager Naveel Syed and the entire Hartford Toyota SuperStore family for treating us with the utmost professionalism and care.
"Happy Customer"
We worked with Ian Yuhas today in leaseing a Toyota Camry. He was great. He answered all of our questions and explained every thing we needed to know about the car.He was very friendly, patient, and kind.We appreciated the high level of service he provided us.We look forward to working with him in the future. We had a great experience.Thank You Ian and Hartford Toyota SuperStore.7/72015
"Poor Service Department"
The sales people are nice but the service department is horrible. They do not stand by their product and make promises that they dont keep after they make the sale. Very disappointed in my experience. I would recommend avoiding these people.
"Service That Exceeded My Expectations"
The 2012 Corolla that I bought at Hartford Toyota (overall a good sales experience) developed a couple of annoying interior noises. I was put in contact with Service Manager Chip Benyi, who arranged for a Toyota Service Representative to look at the car. Chip had a service technician named Bob (I dont know his last name) take a ride with me to be sure the noises in question were properly identified. Bob, Chip, and the Toyota Service Representative were exceptionally thorough in tracking down noises (even a couple that I hadnt pointed out) and doing the work needed to silence them. Chip even called me to ask to keep the car an extra day so that he could be sure the noises didnt recur. I have owned Toyotas since 1972 and had previously used three other service departments in the area. Though I was usually pleased with the work done in the past, no service department (and service manager) has ever done such a thorough job on my car. The work exceeded my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend the service department at Hartford Toyota.
"Excellent Service In Parts Dept."
Hi, I was very please when I went to service my Toyota Camry. The customer service was great when I went in the store to purchase parts, and they helped me with everything I need it as well to service my car.
"Stay Away!!!!"
02-16-2015
STAY AWAY from Hartford Toyota if you want to get your vehicle serviced after you purchase your vehicle. If your purchase comes with the "Hartford Toyota" 2 year service package youll find that its basically a worthless offer since you cant even get a hold of the service department to set up a service appointment. I tried calling three times this morning to set up a 15,000 mile "free" check up per the manual. I got into a loop on the automated answering device which hung up on me three times. When I pressed "1" for Sales and finally got a live person, she told me all service people were busy. I asked to speak to a manager and surprise- he was also busy!! Nobody should have to put up with nonsense like this from sleazy places like Hartford Toyota- there are many other choices out there.
"Great Service"
Their Service department is excellent. I will never go anywhere else for service. Thank you Chip!
"Terrible Customer Service"
My overall buying process was terrible if you see Luis the saleman just run the other way. When I picked up my car it was dirty hardly washed and although I hadnt purchased it I was pressured to complete sale even when I had concerns. Very pushy and very sketchy staff. No one returns phone calls from this dealership you are bounced around the voicemail system. I had an issue with my radio several days after I purchased the car, Carl in service said he would order me a radio and fix the issue promptly but that was back in April its now august and I still havent received a call back and continue to leave voicemails with no response. When I contacted my salesperson Luis I have the same problem. One major selling point was because I was local and had small children they would come pick up my car for service but now that I ask for this to be done its become a problem and I need a coupon. Overall I went to Hartford Toyota because my sister bought her truck there. I could never recommend this dealership to anyone because they lure you with promises but never deliver. Just common courtesy and customer service are lacking. I actually hate that I have to deal with them at all. Completely dissatisfied and disappointed.
"Bait And Switch?."
Run from this place. Made a deal with the owners son after shopping around. Told other dealers I had bought the car. A week or so later the owners son told me "jimmy" the gm thought I was getting too good of a deal. Imagine that. Then "jimmy" became rude, belligerent and threatening. The owners son? No where to be found. Went to another dealer. Much happier. Just a terrible experience. Toyota is a great product. These people just dont represent it well, in my opinion.
"Best Toyota Dealer Ibn State"
Was never a Toyota owner. Two years ago went in on a lark to look at a Prius. Met Rich the owners son. What a great guy. Took the time to educate me, no hard sell or pushy tactics. Really enthusiastic and knowledgeable. After haggling for my best deal, went to Hoffman, Stephens and Basile- They all laughed at me and claimed I was lying on the deal i got. Went back and bought it at Hartford Toyota and have had no trouble since, Rich spent over an hour going over the features in the car and set up the Entune and bluetooth. Went back last year for a second Prius for my son- same great service and deal. They know me when I call and always are friendly and helpful. Provide me with loaner during service as well. Now in the market for another Toyota and I know where I will be heading. Went from an Audi/BMW owner to now 3 Toyotas in 3 years.Talk about building loyalty- Hartford Toyota has done it.
"Pushy Salesman"
03-22-2014
Used dealer on-line quote request. Within the system it specifically asked how you wanted to be contacted. I stated via E-mail and within a few minutes I instead recieved a phone call pushing very hard for me to visit the dealer. Saleswoman would not give quote like the online system offered. Withing a couple of hours the saleswoman called me 4 times pushing for the face to face visit. The result is I went to another local Toyota dealer to purchase the car that did what they promised and did not play pushy salesman.
"Not A Big Fan"
03-01-2014
I took my car for its 15K mile check during my lunch break and it took well over two hours. I asked for a quote on my passenger side mirror-- was quoted $100 but then was informed the quote didnt include the back section of the mirror missing. I put this in the survey and someone from customer service kept calling me to rectify the situation and really she just called to argue with me (which I find incredibly hilarious and ironic--why call at all!???) The Customer Service Rep that called was defending why I had to wait for my service check and defending the employee that mis-quoted me-- I dont need a phone call to hear your excuses, how about if you dont have a suggestion to help how I feel about your business dont contact me at all!
"Aggressive, High Pressure And Unprofessional"
I requested a quote online and was contacted by Online Sales Manager Michael. If I had known Id be bombarded with persistent, aggressive and unprofessional emails and voicemails, I would have never asked for the quote! Although I must say, it was quite humorous to receive an email from him with the subject line "Emailing to much?" (nice typo, right?) To say the least, this guy needs a lesson on customer service. Hes not going to find himself making too many sales with his high-pressure sales tactics and script emails.
"I Was Never Even Contacted"
08-29-2013
put in a request for more information through cars.com and was never even contacted by this seller. at all. its been weeks. found a car elsewhere.
"13 Tundra"
I have been looking for a new tundra for months now and when I found one here it was the best price in the state. I have had fantastic service from everyone at this dealership. I got what I asked for on my trade and paid what I wanted for the truck. Rich the sales manager was very helpful. He gave me personal car to drive while my truck was being detailed and did whatever I asked for. I will be buying all my cars from him from now on.
"Still Looking For A Car"
Found a great Prius online and went test drive it. We already own a Prius but they gave us the entire sales presentation anyway. We tried to work through the financing and was told that they would give us a call by noon the next day to work out the final deal (it was getting close to my 1yo bed time so we had to leave without finishing). That was four days ago. Still have not heard back from them.
"The Worst"
Tried to buy from them. They could not get the car I wanted, but repeatedly told me it was coming in in a few days. Weeks would go by. The next time it would be issues with paper work at the other dealer from whom they were getting it. After a few months I asked for my deposit back and had to fight for weeks to get it. I will never step in there again.
"After The Sale They Were Super Helpful"
Their used car manager didnt return phone calls or do what he said he would but everybody post-sale was really helpful. Their sales approach is predatory so unless you know exactly what youre doing beware. To reiterate, after the sale they went above an beyond to get my car home with me. Thats fairly important.
"Worst Dealer Ive Dealt With!"
Horrible customer service. I was lied to by the business manager four times. Buy a Toyota from another dealer. Dont use service repair department unless you like multiple return trips and long waits.
