We walked into Kia with a half hour until our insurance company closed. We knew exactly what we wanted and how we wanted to do it. Mario took us inside and was super quick in getting us everything we needed to drive a new Kia off the lot that afternoon. Mario was very professional, even giving our 1.5 year old his stuffed hamster so he would be happy. The car is great, the staff was courteous and professional. We will definitely be back for another car in the future.

I financed a 2013 Sorento over a year ago and loved it! Went to get my car serviced.. that department is great with Jeff and Chelsea. While there, I went next door to Sales and visited my original salesman, Mario Cipolla. Id been thinking about leasing through Kia since I love their products so much. Was worried however that my credit wasnt good enough to get into a leasing program. Well, Mario looked into it along with Marissa Monti... and they made it happen!! And what was just a maintenance visit turned into me driving away with a Brand New 2017 Sorento..and LEASED, which is exactly what I wanted. This took just a few hours. Every single question I asked was answered... and some of my questions were redundant but Mario and Marissa were happy to assist and clarify any concerns my wife and I had. My original experience with this dealership was Awesome and so was this recent one! I would highly recommend Kia of East Hartford to anyone looking for a great product along with great Customer Service. You will be taken care of VERY WELL!

But my recent experience at East Hartford Kia wasnt painful at all....dealing with Ryan was actually fun! I came in based on a radio ad I had heard stating that they might give me up to $8,000 over Kelley Blue Book for a trade in. I was upside down on a car and frustrated. My husband and I pulled in and were greeted outside the front door by Ryan. HE WAS WONDERFUL FROM START TO FINISH! I admit that I can be a tough customer, and was honest and upfront about what I wanted and that I did not want the typical dealer run around, I just wanted numbers before I even bothered driving a car. Ryan heard me and truly respected that statement. Once the numbers were shown, which were do-able, we took the best and most complete test drive I have ever been on. Ryan was awesome at showing the ins and outs of the vehicles along with balancing getting to know us as people. He worked tirelessly to get me to the numbers I needed, and I ended up in an Optima as apposed to the Forte for less than the original number for the Forte. He was honest, straight forward, real, and very different from other sales people I have worked with. He was also very knowledgeable about the cars and processes. We worked together and negotiated to a good number (he communicated quite often via text or phone) and the car was ready in about 24 hours after the agreed upon amount. I came back the next night, the car had obviously been detailed and moved under cover due to rain, and the tank was full. Can I tell you how many times Ive been given a new car with out a full tank of gas?? The woman who does the paper work came and took me since Ryan was not available at the moment. I dont believe she introduced herself, if she did, I dont recall. The paperwork process was lengthy, as usual, and she was friendly. She offered several "al a carte" ad-on options, which I turned down, despite her lowering the cost of the only one I was at all interested in several times. When I told her I was not willing to purchase the item, her mood changed quickly and the rest of the interaction was not nearly as friendly or polite and her thoughts were clearly on her face and in her body language. Questions I had obviously annoyed her. This interaction was the only hiccup in the entire process. I was happy when it was complete. Ryan OWNED the process. He worked with me from start to finish (except for the paperwork part) He discussed all payments, unlike other dealerships where they send the "manager" over to discuss $$, Ryan did it and did it well. He took a moment before the final handshake to show me several things in the car that he thought I should know, including setting up the bluetooth. I received a congratulations phone call from him the next day. I have NEVER gotten a phone call from the salesperson like that. I cannot say enough about Ryan. He truly was wonderful. And on top of it, I went into the whole process knowing nothing about and having never driven any Kia. I am very very impressed with my new Optima. I have driven Nissan Altimas for years, and most recently a Volvo. The Optima is an excellent car.

I have been debating on trading my car in for a newer car. So i stopped by KIA OF EAST HARTFORD, CT, where i have been coming for many years for their car service. I was walking around just looking, and was approached by a gentleman name Louise. We started to talk, I told him, i was just looking around, only if i could get a great deal, I would trade in my car. He took his time with me, he was very pleasant to talk to, no pressures, very understanding, yet professional . All we did was go over pricing , and LOuise, and Kevin the manager, came to a price right away which, I couldnt refuse. Everything went so smooth, I still cant get over it. I left with a 2017 forte. I had asked Louise how long he been working at KIA, he said about three months. With his way of selling, I can see him going far, and maybe even a manager someday, because he was so compassionate, and not pushy, is what the customer wants nowadays!!!! "Friendly, Low-key"
I called this Kia (an hour away) on a recommendation. They had the exact car and deal I was looking for, no hassle, no lies. I was looking for a newer used car, but ended up with a great deal on a new car. Ryan spent an hour making sure I was comfortable with the purchase and didnt rush me. They accommodated my changes to the financing, no problem. They do try to hard-sell on the extra service plans at signing, but I had done my research and knew what I wanted. This was my first new car in 20 years, and I have to say it went much better than expected. (Also, after 3 days, the car is getting much better mileage than expected!) No complaints.

Marissa in the finance department was also all of those things. I highly recommend to anyone to visit Hoffman Kia if they are looking for knowledgeable and friendly employees to assist them in in purchasing a vehicle. The process was quick, and before I knew it I was driving off the lot in a freshly detailed vehicle that I was happy with and could call my own. The warranty on the vehicle is excellent as well.
