"Terrible Communication"

Went in ready to buy a car. But no-one took me seriously. Kept "yuping" me on everything then said they would call me with final numbers just to get me to leave. Never called. Once I said I had the money they were finally willing to talk numbers. Told me I could pick it up that day. Only to be told that couldnt happen and I can get it the next morning 1st thing. That didnt happen. Didnt get it until they almost closed. Also having noises come from the car. Call got ignored and I left a message. 2 days later no callback. Do not recommend at all

Internet listing $5750, went to dealer and they changed price to $6000, not professional at all, not even say hello , not able to negociate price , I’m buying , I’m doing a deal not even offer a test drive just asking how are you paying ?

The salesmen here are very rude and they act like they dont want to help you or answer your questions. They almost act like they dont want to sell you their cars. I thought it was just me but i know at least 5 other people that said the same thing.

Waste of time! First we get there and no one even remotely tried to help us, we finally went up to them to ask to look at a car. Took a nice looking Acura for a test drive made it two seconds down the street and a cv joint blows. So we pull into a parking lot and call them. the guy had to pick us up and wouldnt even speak with us, like we just drove your car and it breaks, you have nothing to say?! We get back to the dealership they went inside and sat on the couches, didnt even try to salvage the sale they were about to get. So glad I didnt just hand them cash for that! Awful awkward waste of time.

Waited 2 days for a response from the finance manager so I could put a deposit on a car I was interested in, before driving over 2 hours to pick it up. They never returned my call then I received an email on the 3rd day asking if I was still interested in buying from them.... get yourselves straightened out. Talk to each other.

I had an appointment today May 6 2017 for 1pm. I was called twice this morning confirming appointment stating the vehicle is still available. Upon arrival the car is magically gone. So disappointed. Wish I could give 0 stars. They had 3 cars I was interested in, listed on their website. I called to verify and they confirmed that they were there. After I drove an hour out there, the guy inside acted like I was such an inconvenience, interrupting his personal conversation. We got outside, all three cars arent there, and were "sold". I try to see if theres something else I am interested in on their lot (I totaled my previous car and was really in need of a car). I test drove a 4runner, and when I got in, the gas light was on. I was afraid to go more than 3 miles down the road in case I got stranded. Then the guy acted annoyed when I wanted to look around at other vehicles, so I just left. Worst experience Ive ever had at a car place.

The people here are fantastic. I bought an 03 Honda Accord from them and the same day the transmission blew, as I have heard its a common issue in the older Honda Accords. I called them, and told them what happened, and they towed my car back up and fixed it within 3 days. Wonderful service. They also took some money off the car because of a few small things such as the fact that the drivers heated seat wouldnt work on high, only on low. They are willing to work with you and help find a great car. I highly suggest this place for used cars, they are reasonable and extremely helpful people.

"Nobody There During Hours Supposed To Be Open"

I recd an email asking if I would like to come down "tomorrow" at 1:46 am on Friday going into Saturday. I emailed them back Saturday saying I was planning to come down Sunday morning, didnt hear back. Since their general hours are 10-2 on Sunday and it was my only available time to make the hour drive down, I figured Id check it out and catch someone at the lot anyway. I got there at 11:00 and nobody was there! :( Such a waste of my time.

Dont be fooled by the small footprint of this dealership that sits right between two major ones. I found the car I wanted online, drove into Empires Lot and George had me on the road in 5 minutes! No "tag-alongs", no high pressure sales .. just a test drive. Loved the car so bought it ... minimal hassle, minimal paperwork, done. [Now, please read the next part ALL the way through because I think we have all been there and I was pleasantly surprised] So after I get the registration, I bring the car for an inspection sticker and it fails ?! Turns out the emergency brake cable was set incorrectly when the new brakes were installed. My mechanic noticed a few other things that were unrelated to the inspection so I text George with the issues and replies "We got you covered". I know what youre thinking because I was fearing the same ... Bring the car to Empires Garage ... Brake Cable, fixed; other repairs, done; Inspection Sticker, done ... cost to me - NOTHING! Good luck going to a big dealership and getting the same result. There was no haggling or "oh thats not covered" or "let me talk to my manager". If you want to be greeted by sales people fighting for a commission, in a nicely carpeted show room on a huge lot who talk your ear off during the test drive, go to a Big Dealership. If you want a decent used car where all the costs are up front and no pressure sales, go see George.

Had an appt to test a Honda Pilot on a Saturday at 4:30pm. The day of the test drive I called them up to inform them I would be 15 minutes late. Some guy informs me they close at 5pm and if I wanted to change the test driving for the next day Since they supposedly close at 5pm on Saturdays even though Online it says 7pm. As if its the clients fault they scheduled a potential buy half hour before closing. Nonetheless he was fine with me being tardy. When I got there, mind you I drove from Warwick, ri to Canton,Ma I was informed the car I was to test drive was being sold! No apologizes whatsoever from anyone. Seriously I had called no less 15 mins and they did not have the decency to inform me someone else was buying the car I Scheduled to test drive days before. They did however called me the next day to ask how my test drive went. I told them,"what test drive? You guys sold the car while I was driving to the dealership." communication in this dealership is seriously lacking.

We were looking for a car for my son. We spent a long time in various auto dealers. We are not satisfied with the condition of the car, or the price, or the attitude of the staff to their customers. It is a pity that it is not always friendly. Empire Motors in this respect compares favorably with the places where we have visited. Nice people made a vehicle choice in a enjoyable process. They are did not put pressure and gave us plenty of time. It was important for us, because we already tired from the "hard selling" of the other dealers. The orderly and pleasant communication. "Wasted Energy."

The salesman are a joke. I had went there with my bestfriend not too long ago , and mind you were girls. We knew from the beginning that any salesman would want to take advantage of us by assuming we did not know anything about buying a car. Ive been to many dealers before and by far im appalled by how one of the salesman spoke to us. I dont remember his name but he sounded like he was either swedish or german. He had such a thick accent. As im asking simple questions about the acura tsx i wanted he hesitates in answering and kind of talks around the question and tries to bring up another topic. i felt as if he did not want to help us and he was not interested in even selling car. When it came down to filling out the paperwork for financing he told me it would take a day for it to be processed and looked at. Which i found weird because in other places it takes less than that. Once i mentioned that other places do not do that he assumed i insulted him? We were going back and forth for what seemed like 20 minutes. i gave up and ended it with "It was my opinion and that is all i wanted to say." All in all do not come to this dealership if its your last option. Salesman are NOT interested in selling, it will be worse if your a girl. Cannot believe i wasted my energy. By the way i did not mention that it was an hour drive.

"Not As Presented"

We saw a vehicle on Empires website and drove an hour to look at it in person. Their lot turned out to be a small, sleazy looking place; though they did have several cars. There were three salesmen outside when we pulled in, and we stopped by the car we came for, but it was several minutes before anyone came to talk to us. He was nice enough but didnt know anything about the vehicle. One thing we noticed right away is that the prices on the cars were higher than the prices shown on the internet - according to the salesman, "the internet price is the cash price", although that isnt noted anywhere on the site. We wanted to look at the vehicle and drive it, but the battery was dead "because of the cold weather", and "half the cars on the lot wont start" he said. (Probably not the best thing to say to a prospective buyer.) He did offer to jump the vehicle for us, but after giving the car a once-over, it wasnt in as good of condition as purported, and we decided it wasnt worth our time. One final note, their website claims they "specialize in luxury high end" vehicles - that claim is laughable at best.

"Might Get A Good Deal Here, But Id Steer Clear."

I recently bought an 05 Elantra from Empire Motors. The vehicle was in mostly good shape, but I later found out that the transmission fluid was black; hopefully the transmission wont go anytime soon. Serves me right; I should have had it checked out first. You should know: 1) Empire charges a non-negotiable "administration fee" ($199 for cars below $10K, $299 for cars above $10K). They state that this covers the RMV-1 (which is automatically generated), title reassignment (a trip to the bank), and the cost of storing documents for 7 years (!) 2) The 3-month unlimited-mileage warranty mentioned EVERYWHERE on their web site is contingent on paying FULL PRICE for the vehicle, but this fine print is NOWHERE to be found on their web site or signage and only came up during when I was handed a 30-day, 1,250-mile warranty. 3) Do your homework: a 2006 Elantra advertised with 93K miles and an "odometer discrepancy" showed up in an AutoCheck report as having 194K miles (it came to auction that way, but I was simply told that there was "no way to know" what the true mileage was). Someone since bought it; I hope they knew what they were getting. 4) Empire does not have a strong reputation as autosalesmen. They were started in January 2014 by entrepreneurs who also run Vista Motors in Bridgewater, MA, as well as a horse-and-carriage business and a food delivery service. There are no personal names or photos on their business cards or websites. To his credit, the salesman, "Alex" (who signed over the title as "Andrey Efimov") did steer me away from the 06 Elantra, negotiated on the price of the car I chose, and replaced its dead battery with a reconditioned one (after suggesting that I try swapping it out with another one on the lot myself!), which AutoZone confirmed was OK. If youre comfortable negotiating with a small, no-frills dealer, and run a report and have the car checked out first, you might wind up with a good deal. But if you want a straight deal with no surprises, this isnt the place for you.

Alex sold me a jeep that was riddled with electcial/mechanical issues. He theb gave me a ton of issues for repairs under his shady warrenty.
