I have been a customer of Lucas Ford in Burlington, NJ since I was 18 years old. I have bought over 10 cars in my life time from the dealership. I love my Ford Cars, but I dont like how I was treated at the service desk at Lucas recently. John who works there has a chip on his shoulder and doesnt like to be questioned. I took my Fusion in for a routine oil change and when it went in all the lug nuts were on the tire. On Sunday I noticed one was missing, so I called the dealership and John said bring it in and we will fix it. When I got there he had a bit of an attitude then went into the shop and talked to one of the young guys in the back, he then came back to say we will fix it in a few minutes. I said great, he then went to the service manager for a short time came back and said it was on his paper work that it was missing on 9/20. I told him to my knowledge it was on there I check my tires everyday. Something my dad taught me since he was a mechanic. He said no we wrote it here it was missing, I said so if it was missing like you say it was, why didnt you call my husband to tell him and we would have had it fixed then. He said um um...well you dont really need it. I said funny Ford put it on there for a reason, to hold the tire. He got snotty and said well we are fixing it. I am 6 months pregnant and with that lug nut missing made me wonder if the other ones were loose as well or if they did my oil change as they claimed they did. They then tell my husband I have a small gasket leak from my transmission do I want it fixed, we declined. We never got a report on the work that was done on the car havent in quite some time about the wear on the tires, or brakes etc. We took the car for a second opinion and guess what no leak was found. So, are they being dishonest is there work true to the Ford Standards? I had a recall on my car no one told me about that the power steering can fail, went on vacation 3 hours away and the power steering failed in a parking garage and we had to have the car towed 40 miles away to the nearest Ford Dealer to be fixed. It cost me 150.00 for the tow and to be with out a car for 3 days. Why didnt Ford let me know sooner about the defect and to top it off they wont reimburse me for the tow.

This has had to be fastest, and painless experience ever. I was in, and out! I wish I could give zero stars based on my experience so I did the next best thing. My experience with Lucas Ford in Burlington can be summed up in one word: HORRIBLE! I have a 2013 Chevrolet that has more mileage than most cars with this model year at this time due to extensive driving. I was looking for a 2015 Ford Edge leftover based on these facts. My father, who has been buying cars for nearly 40 years, helped me in my online search for a new Ford. We noticed that Lucas Ford has 3 leftover vehicle with extensive rebates. I made contact via the online portal and was immediately contacted by the Internet Sales Manager, Steven. I informed him the year of my car, mileage, and current payoff. Based on his preliminary analysis, which he conceded required coming in to confirm, there would be absolutely no problem getting the payment I wanted with the amount I wanted to put down for one of these Edges. I warned him that I was not into playing “games” on the price being that Burlington is not around the corner from my location in Northern Monmouth County. He said not to worry, and by his own calculations, I could even get a payment $5 less per month, especially because they could certify my car being that they own a Chevrolet dealership as well. My father even contacted him, the Internet Sales manager to confirm these statements since I do not live down the road. I know that the deal was a stretch based on my facts but he assured me that there would be no issue. This past Friday evening, I went to the dealership after letting him know I would be coming in. Of course, upon arrival neither Steven nor his associate were to be found despite being told to ask for him. One of the sales consultants was instead sent to deal with me. I explained to him the exact information I discussed with Steven, as well as the payment that he told me I could expect. I do realize there is some variability that always occurs, but not a DIFFERENCE OF $90 PER MONTH (nearly 20% higher than the price he quoted me)!!! When he came back after speaking with the Sales Manager, he revealed the price and I flat out told him I was pissed. I left early from work, drove over 45 minutes in the rain, expecting to be within the realm between what Steven was quoting me and what I was going to get. NOT EVEN CLOSE! After the sales consultant came back a second time, I demanded to see the sales manager, to which he told me he was the sales manager despite his title being a Sr. Sales Consultant. Another gentleman, who had been sitting next to us then decided to come over saying he was the Sales Manager. I told him exactly what Steven as his Internet Sales Manager had told me, and he said that I had every right to be pissed and he would relay my unhappiness to him. Believe me, I get the “game” when purchasing a vehicle but this is beyond ridiculous. Dealerships have every right to make money, but NOT to waste people’s time. I have another Ford lease going back next year and definitely WILL NOT consider this dealership in the future!

Tuesday July 28th I was coming home on rte 95 and my 2011 ford escape had a wrench and check engine light sensor appear, immediatly after it just stalled out. I waited a minute and restarted it only to have it stall again not even a mile. This continued until I finally arrived home. This was frustrating, dangerous and scary! The next day my uncle, a mechanic, looked at the truck and said the throttle body had to be replaced, and recommended that I call lucas ford to check for any related recalls before buying the part myself, so I did. I spoke to John Morrisroe (manager), who verified that there was indeed a recall on the throttle. I explained my situation and how I couldnt afford to continue to call out of work due to my truck not running properly and if there is any availability that day to be fixed or ASAP. John was extremely empathetic, patient, and hospitable he even accommodated me that friday morning! Talk about service! I was thoroughly satisfied and would recommend lucas fords service dept to anyone, and a thank you especially to John for his exceptional customer service and understanding.

I bought a used truck from the dealership, the salesman was excellent he took good care of me and followed thru with commitments. Then I had to deal with the person responsible to get my permanent tags. I was told by the salesman to get the required paperwork back quickly as my temporary tag was good for only 3 weeks (I am a Delaware resident and Lucas would get the tags for me). I left the dealership on Wednesday with my truck and mailed to them by registered mail the required documents on Friday. The person responsible to obtain the tags did not follow thru, 1 week before they were to expire I called and spoke to the salesman, who asked the person responsible what the status was. We both were told they will be overnighted Wednesday or Thursday (that day was Tuesday). On Saturday I had not received any tags(they expired on the coming Monday), when I called and asked they had not been mailed. The salesman scrambled to try and get another temporary tag to me by Monday, but he could not, so on Tuesday I received a overnight package from the salesman with the temporary tag (I had to drive 1 day on a expired tag). I asked about the permanent tag and was told it would be several weeks before I would receive it. The person responsible to get the tag went on vacation after not doing their job and leaving me with expired tags. This was after they had told me and the salesman they would go out. So I am still waiting for permanent tags. In short the sales staff I interfaced with were excellent, the support staff service is very poor. The quality of service at this level is extremely poor and has made me not want to recommend this dealer to other buyers. This is sad because the sales staff were very customer friendly, but the follow up staff make the experience painful. They have a problem at this level I hope they fix it.

Its been many years since we bought a vehicle from Lucas Ford, so this review will focus on their service dept. We hadnt been there for repair service also in many years, so it must be noted that the quality and level of service has improved hugely from what it was many years ago. My husband usually does all of the repairs on our vehicles. However, we just had an issue with the emissions system (catalytic converter) on our 2011 Ford Ranger that had to be dealt with through an authorized Ford dealership since the emissions system is still under warranty. As I mentioned above, experiences with the Lucas service dept. in the past werent very good -- so we were apprehensive about how things would be now. Thank you to manager John Morrisroe who paid close attention to the details of our problem, and who made sure to give my husband a service appointment that would allow him to stay until the work was done since dropping the truck off and coming back for it later wasnt an option (the Ranger is our only vehicle). He was in and out in under an hour. Thank you, also, to the mechanic (Ron, Tech 7108) who did the work -- my husband was under the truck to check things out as soon as he got home, and he was very pleased. Clean job, nothing overlooked, nothing left loose. Along with the replacement of the catalytic converter, our truck was given a thorough going-over and a "report card" was provided. This is a great service and a nice, clear checklist of what does, doesnt or might need further attention. Weve gone to Lucas for Ford parts for many years. Its great to know that their service dept. has improved so much and we can go there now as well without hesitation.

I cant wait for your quick lube to open up. As an owner my car doesnt always need major work done.Tho Im glade you are there. My car dose however need the oil changed on a regular basis. It is not always convenient to schedule an appointment. In fact its never convenient. I need to be able [not just me], to come in and get minor service on the fly. My sun roof was not closing I brought the car in for service on 10/22/14 and did not get the car back until 10/30/14. I had to call daily for the status and beg for a loaner car because I could not miss work. Only to find out that the roof leaks all into my car and the liner had stains. I brought the car back on 11/6. They told me the drains were not installed correctly. They Did fix that issue and cleaned the liner and wash my rugs I was also provided with a loaner car. It was a long process but they ultimately fixed the issue and they were very professional and courteous.

I love the professionalism there of everybody. The salesman Dave is a pleasure and he never put pressure on me to purchase anything.
