"The Best Dealership Experience"

This is my first-time experience with Metro Honda. Henry Ong was dealing all lease paperwork. He is very nice, humble person, not forcing, dominating or crazy typical salesman. He paid attention to my need. I did not see him. He did have the car that I was looking for. He gave different options though. He asked me how much I can offer, he took the note and did not say anything about my offer. He went to the Sales managers section, I saw they were talking. Then Sales manager Marroquin came and talked. She is more generous, humble and respectful. She told what is possible or not. After couple back and forth negotiation she offered an acceptable price. I like to say, these 2 persons changed my mind about the salespersons crazy, forcing behavior or rude behavior.

It was by far the worst experience I ever had with them and I no longer will do business with them. I was thinking about upgrading my car but after yesterday I will not even think about it. I took my car to get the battery checked because the battery has been faulty for months. They tell me they can’t do anything about it since it’s past warranty(I had the car for one year and it was preowned should’ve gave me a brand new battery) and it was past mileage(36,000). Before this I took my car to get serviced months before and failed to tell me about a battery problem even though I know it was bad. So I left pretty angry and my car was “serviced” and I noticed my tire pressure was still on and they didn’t take the nail out!! Lol and they talk about customer service but you didn’t really service my car. Very disappointed and I opt to be out on the do not call list because I am going to trade this car in somewhere else and not deal with Metro Honda directly.

We went to Metro Honda in Jersey City on 11/25/16 to see Mike Booker to purchase the Honda Civic Hatchback. Mike wasnt in and its so hard to find good Salesman that you can trust. I know because I have worked with Salesmen for the past 12 years. I decided that I was going to see if the young gentlemen that held open the door for me was available and he was. I cannot say enough good things about Malcolm Gamble. He was with me every step of the way with a great attitude and when he wasnt sure of something he had the right person come over to assist us. After many hours back and forth Malcolm took me on a test drive in a Honda Civic EX-L, there were no incentives on the Hatchback & the down payment would be ridiculous. Once I slid into that car (which was like sliding into a pile of whip cream) I knew that car would be mine. I loved everything about it from the white color to how it felt driving it. So many features that I was not use to driving a 2003 Hyundai Elantra. I ended up leasing the car with Malcolms help and took it home the same day with the payments that I was looking to not exceed each month. Malcolm was so sweet that he even called me a couple days later to see if I was happy with the car. YES YES YES, I love it so much that if I could marry a car I would marry this one. Thank you so much Malcolm for all your help with everything and once my daughter is ready to drive we will be back to see you. I highly recommend that if anyone is interested in purchasing a Honda that they go see Malcolm Gamble at Metro Honda in Jersey City.

My car was involved in an accident. I was towed to Metro for several reasons. Mr Cohen was just awesome!! I beleive he is the service mgr. He let me know my options, and took care of all the work. engine and body work.It was such a stress free experience dealing with him. One day I dealt with a woman in the service dept but I am SO glad I waited for Mr Cohen to return from vacation.... Even though I do not live too close I plan on returning for any work I need.

"Worst Customer Service Ever"

Purchased a used Nissan Sentra 2009 model car first which I had to return it in a month as it had starting problem even after they fixed it three times (I only drove it only twice during the time I had the car, from Metro Honda to home and back to Metro Honda). Metro Honda agreed to take back the care and to go for a different car. So went a new Honda Accord LX and the sale was completed. Note: My old care was taken as trade in not like replacement and adjusting the money. I lost $3000 in this trade (which were dealer chare, GAP coverage etc…). My worst experience was with the cancellation of extended warranty that I took for the Honda Car with Honda Car, which was handled by “Antonio Olivo”. The actual processing time by Honda Care to dispatch you check is only week from the date the filled form is submitted with odometer. I got my check only after 4 months after multiple followup and visit to Metro Honda. Antonio Olivo never returned any of my call. Was able to reach him after 10 days to get an update as I did not receive my check after one and half months from the date I submitted but he refused to give the contact details of the person who submits the filled form for me to get and update and he also cannot do anything as his work is also (fill the form and submit to her). Finally he agreed to get an update and requested me to call back at 2:00 PM and again was not able to reach him or any of the branch manager over call for the next 10 days. Finally when I got Antonio over call this was his response: Why do you keep filling my voice mail and don’t call me back again. You can speak with my manager. So he has intentionally avoided my call and delayed the process. This was the worst of all. For almost 2 and half months the form was not submitted and they did not listen to me when I checked with Honda Care and said that they have not received the form. Finally I got the cancellation form Honda Care representation and filled it and went to Metro Hond to get the odometer form so that I can submit myself (submission is very simple scan the filled form and email it). That when I believe actually they submitted the form and gave me copy of the submitted details. But again they made mistake, filled up different cancellation date which exceeded 60 days free cancellation limit instead of actual cancellation date that I clearly specified. Metro Honda deducted $240 instead of giving me the full payment, Which I informed to one the branch manager and they agreed to pay $240 but still I have not received the check from $240 and it has crossed 6 weeks. Again I have to go and check with them directly. Also they marked the check to be returned to the back instead of me, which I have filled correct selected in my form (selected the option to return to me). This again caused a delay of addition 3 weeks as the check was returned back to Hond Care by the back. I was not able to visit Metro Hond immediately as work hours are different. So my advise is to visit Metro Honda directly if your call is not returned in a day or so.

I had an excellent experience at Metro Honda in Jersey City. I had done the research and contacted a number of dealerships and was prepared to visit many of them this weekend but I was incredibly lucky to walk in and be helped by Mike Booker. He is an amazing salesman. He knows his business and doesnt play around. He was fair and really friendly and explained everything. I have bought a number of cars over the years and this was the best sales experience Ive ever had. No joke. I felt like he really wanted to get me the best deal possible. Attempted to purchase vehicle stock no. CAO19472 for listed price. According to sales person, the dealership had this vehicle for six days. I then received a call from a person stated that he was the used car sales manager. He advised me the advertised price was wrong and he couldnt honor the advertised price. I felt if they had the vehicle for six days the advertised price should have been corrected or honored.

Great experience overall. Went to a number of other dealerships and test drove the CRV. Service at the other stores was a bit lackluster, and seemed uninterested when we said "we were still deciding on a vehicle and werent ready to buy yet". The salesperson at Metro actually asked some great questions, what using the vehicle for, what other vehicles we have, what we do for recreation... They actually got us to look at the Crosstour, explained the special financing programs and cash back on that car at the time... Ended up buying the Crosstour vs leasing the CRV for basically the same payment. Love the car, perfect for us and our needs!

Went into Metro Honda in hopes of buying my very first car. I was new to this new process so I brought my parents with me for guidance and support. I was nervous to say the least but once I walked in and was greeted by Michelle and Mike Booker I felt very comfortable. Mike was our salesman and he knew how to connect with us. I recently leased my first new vehicle ever! Albie Rivera was my sales person. He was comforting, patient and very informative. I was a bit nervous and confused as to which vehicle to purchase (other options were Nissan and Hyundai) and he made my choice easy. He didnt push me, hound me, nor did he make me feel like I was just another number. He worked with me for a price that I was comfortable with, welcomed me to the 21st century of a computerized car (I traded a 2005 vehicle, how so much has changed lol), and helped me navigate my new vehicle. He didnt forget me after the contract was signed either, he called me the next day to make sure my car and I were well acquainted :) Now thats customer service!!!

I got a certified used car from Metro Honda , NJ after having a online quote.. I must say Sr. sales asst. Mr. Govaia Larcher was pretty helpful an elaboarte to assist me with my deal.. The service provided was good and they helped me figure out the best I could get with my finances too. I was able to finlaize the deal and take my car home within ~2.5hrs.. I cant say enough great things about my experience at Metro Honda. I came in not even expecting to get another car on a Saturday around 5pm. My 3 year lease was ending on my 2011 Honda Accord and I was looking to buy/lease another car. I spoke to Vlad first who put me with Luis the sales manager, after about half an hour of negotiation I was able to get a brand new 2014 Honda Accord on another three year lease for no money down and less than what I was paying on the 2011 Honda Accord. They pulled my new Accord up to my old one and while I transferred my belongings from one car to the other they were doing all the paperwork. I came back to sign all the papers and pick up my keys. Last step was signing the finance forms with Scott which happened right after I signed all the paperwork with Luis. I was in and out in 4 hours with a brand new car. If you’re looking to buy or lease a Honda this is the place to go, Luis was superb to work with and I wanted to say a big thank you to Vlad as well who I know was helping in the background. Go with them you won’t be disappointed.
