"Weird Experience Not Buying A Car"

Contacted them via internet about a Toyota RAV4. Next morning, I got an email and phone call from Joy. I set up an appointment for the evening - she said she would "have the car ready". When we got there, they had the record of the appointment but didnt know what car I had inquired about. After lots of confusion, it turned out they had sold the car I was interested in and also the next one I was interested in and also the next one the sales guy thought I would be interested in. All of these cars were still listed on the web site. All of this trying to find cars that had already been sold took a long time. So we went home - carless.
"Horrible, Unprofessional"
To summarize: they are horrible and extremely unprofessional. To expand: We went to Route 22 after we tried to work out a lease on a Corolla at Toyota Universe, which BTW, everyone there (at Toyota Universe) were super nice and extremely professional (well come back to them later...read on). We called Route 22 because my father once leased a car there and was hoping wed qualify for discounts/rebates to be able to get a low priced lease, they told us over the phone to come over and that they could definitely offer a better deal than Toyota Universe could. So, foolish we believed them, and we went. Upon arrival, the desk and person greeting were nice (the only time I experienced "nice" here), and then we were introduced to the sales person who would take care of us, who greeted us chewing food with his mouth open, you know, like a professional does. Then, we said we had my old car to give/trade-in as down-payment. They took my cars information to appraise it and asked us to sit down, several minutes went by, until several minutes became 30 minutes, and I heard our sales person laughing away and having a conversation with a fellow co-worker, so I asked him if itd be longer, and upon my complaint, the appraisal was magically finalized that very instant. I complained about the ridiculous wait and, I guess hes the floor manager, greeted me and my father, again super professional (sarcasm) and did not bring us over to a desk to sit, but rather had us standing with the papers on top of the hood of one of the cars there, as he offered us the very same deal Toyota Universe had offered! We reminded them that they said they could definitely offer something better, but they said it just wasnt possible. Mind you, they never sat us down, ran our credit, asked if wed give anything down, nothing. Needless to say, my experience with the unprofessional personnel at Route 22 is enough to keep far from here forever. And please take my advice, do the same, stay away. Im also reviewing Toyota Universe, feel free to check out my review for them (where I ended up getting my lease). My issue with Route 22 is not that I did not work out a deal, because I first went to Wayne Mazda (I currently have a lease there, so I tried there hoping thered be a good deal) and I went to Toyota Universe (which initially we couldnt agree on a deal), and in both visits, I was greeted by professionals, who took their time (instead of wasting my time) to talk everything over and see what could/couldnt be done. My only guess from the lack of professionalism and people skills at Route 22 Toyota is that they lack management and training. Again, stay away!
"Toyota Highlander 2017 Purchase"

I bought Toyota highlander 2017 and total price is coming around 41K including tax. Even after deducing corporate certificate of 1500$ When i was looking out with friends, which is like 2200$ extra compare to other agencies. Even asked the itemized bill and almost one month over and no bill yet. Even called them up many times and always busy and voice mails. Frustrated with this kind of agencies.

Price is competitive and dealing with the salesmen is lots of fun like you have known them for a long time. So to everybody looking to buy cars, etc. this dealership is highly recommendable.

I didnt end up buying a car here, only because we chose a Pilot over the Highlander. But I just had to comment on the great customer service I received from Alexis at this dealership. He was so knowledgeable and helpful, and best of all HONEST. He was not "salesman-y" at all. He allowed me to go on a nice long test drive (much longer than other dealerships, so I really got a feel for the car), and he explained every darn feature of the car, whereas at other dealerships I barely got any info on all of the buttons and features of the car. I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone looking to buy a Toyota.

"The Worst Service"
I leased RAV4 Hybrid 2016 last month. The entire process took nearly 7 hours. The sales team and all other department did not communicate well. So the documentation rejected the offer and increased the lease amount at the last moment. They did not have a catalog of the car. They forgot to place the car mats so I had to buy by myself. The registration arrived at the last day..... This is the worst experience I have had ever.
"Service Center Is Terrible"
Took my car for its first 5K maintenance there. Never again! I got an appointment for 7am , since i have to be at work at 9am. Over the phone , they told me its a 30-45 minute process. Once I arrived to Service center ( which looked like a nightmare) I was informed that they are not working on cars till 8am and that it will take about an hour. What is the point of 7am appointment ? Its a first first time I bought a Toyota and service is just not good. Waiting room was dirty and small, coffee machine was out of order. They didnt clean my car inside or out. Moreover, I had a small discoloration on the front of my car. Some Lady at the shopping plaza bumped in my parked car on her bike and it had a tire mark ( no scratches or dent ). When i asked to fix it, and I was willing to pay for it, representative told me that its not a big deal and I just need to take it to any repair shop and they can just apply wax or buffer it off. Its a little bit crazy that I was basically in official repair shop for Toyota and they just sent me away to " ANY other repair shop". At the end of my service, I was not provided with any receipt and representative didnt want to stamp my booklet. He told me that everything is saved in their system. However, all over my manual it written in Bold that I must have all records of my visits. Never coming back

Very helpful when showing me the ropes and took his time making sure i knew the ropes without rushing me into signing anything. Very pleasant and friendly.

"Was Not Pleased..."
So today I went in for the second time with a problem on my Navigation System. The first time they seemed to have changed it completely and now I head over there for a repair and they bring to my attention that the GPs was installed by an outside source when I had no idea. I paid a lot of money for a navigation that was superbly not even from them. No one had informed me about the outside source and because of the outside source my warranty was not as long causing them to charge me for repairs. After explaining this to the manager, no help was given to me so I had to leave with nothing fixed and extremely upset. Even after It wasnt my fault for everything, nothing was resolved. Horrible!

I would stay far away from this dealership. While my salesman, Thomas, was hardworking and sincere, albeit inexperienced, his manager was downright abusive. I knew exactly what car I wanted and negotiated the deal over the phone for an “out the door priceâ€. I didn’t want any surprises. When I went to pick up the car (my first time at the dealership), I was advised that the price was slightly higher than agreed to in writing. After first telling me it must be my mistake I showed them the proof in writing. Then they attributed it to a miscalculation. While the amount was quite small, I objected and the manager, Alex Cancela starting screaming "do you want to walk away" "walk away, I want you to walk awayâ€. Thomas had to calm him down. When I asked him to stop being belligerent, he just continued telling me to walk away. In addition to Thomas, I did have some dealings with Ainsley, who was quite helpful and responsive. So obviously there are some good people there. However, as long as Alex Cancel is the manager he will set the tone for this dealership Possibly I got a great price, which Alex regretted, but in any case, there was no reason for him to become abusive. I did leave with my new car, but would never use this dealership again.

I walked into the dealership at 1030 am and was gone by 145. Only reason it took that long is because I was getting jerked by Planet Honda who didnt want to give my check back. Thanks to Milton, I was able to get my check back and leave Toyota again with my new Highlander. He was so pleasant and catered to my every need. He gave me 100% satisfaction during the entire process. There needs to be more employees at this facility just like him. Great personality and a GREAT SMILE. Who wouldnt buy from someone like this. I am very happy no gimics no games no hassle! the staff is very professional and everyone is a delight to work with. Financing was good as well and simple. I when in looking for a Corolla, But Ricardo make me change my mind and got me in a brand new 2014 Camry SE. let me tell you It was the best choice because in reality I was going to need the extra room. The attention I got was one of the best! from the greater at the front door to the sales associate Ricardo Montes. He was very friendly, very very courteous and at front. I was Refer by a good friend and he was right Ricardo was very courteous and professional. I didnt feel that sales pressure or tactics that most sales associates use. He gave me different financing options and even with my poor credit history they was able to get me the SUV I was looking for at a very good rate which got my payments below my target monthly budget. I typically do not write reviews- and typically do not enjoy shopping for cars, however Mr. Montes deserve some positive feedback. My wife was the one looking for a Prius and when Ricardo told us about the smartbuy/lease option I didnt doubt it once to trade in my 06 Oddysey for one of the 95MPG Prius Plug in.
