I needed a new car, and was really interested in the Nissan Altima. Friends have told me they are really good cars and i have rented them a few times on Trips. I was going to buy one close to my house. but they didnt have what I wanted and I went on cars . com and saw that the color and type Girard Nissan had one for a good Price. So my father and I went down one day and when we enter we where met wit basically the whole sales team they where at the door waiting. We got Robert and thank goodness we did. He was the best. he wasnt pushy, friendly and treated us like he knew us for years. we went on a few test drives trying different models other then the Altima. I loved the Altima, it was quiet good handle everything. so we went back and did all the other stuff and then later on we met with Joe the Finance Manager . He was top Notch and very friendly and hep explain everything 100 %. We had to wait a very long time cause Joe was back up cause it was the last day of the month before a Holiday weekend. we where there from 3 pm to 9 pm at night but Robert stayed with us the whole time and talked to us and had good conversations. After that it went down hill. Robert said he was going away for the Labor Day weekend and wouldnt be there tomorrow and another sales man Austin would take care of the insurance part for the car cause we couldnt get it done that day. Well the next Day Friday it didnt happen, we drove a hour after i got out of work and got there and Austin was there and we said did he get everything a set. His response was oh no it didnt we didnt get it done. we been way busy all day since they opened. Lame excuse. Robert told him, all he had to do was call local insurance agent and get it done and all set. Didnt happen , so then the rest of the time we where there, had 2 other sales man and the sales manager to call the insurance, nothing they closed earlier for the Labor Day weekend. so they the other 2 sales man tried to kill time and went over the features of the care a little more which Robert basically already did. then gave us the car to take for the holiday weekend. then we had to go down again after the holiday on Tuesday, and Robert was back. Thank goodness. We told Austin on Friday if he did what Robert left him to do that Friday morning we would have been all set and he got all mad like and now every since he wont even talk to us or nothing lol kinda Funny. I work in customer service for years, so i know what its all about. Other then that Robert was the Best , SO if you ever want to get a car from here i would Def Suggest Robert as your Sales man, So overall good experience, cause of Robert and Joe the Finance Manager. IF it wasnt for those 2 there the experience wouldnt been all together not so great. Thanks Robert and Joe

I bought car from you Dealership on 31st Dec 2016. Its Nissan sentra 2011, Black Color. Till now car registration not completed even after 20 days and I have not received any specific date also. I must say this is the worst buying experience I ever faced. I will not recommend anybody to go to this dealer ever.

I recently had a wonderful experience buying from Girard Nissan. Ive bought plenty of cars in the past from other dealerships and have had horror show experiences. Walking into Girard Nissan I felt welcomed and comfortable from day one. I found that they were very upfront about everything...the price of the car and all the fees included...there were no "hidden fees" or unknown charges. Carlo was so helpful and worked with me based on the budget I gave him. He was honest and upfront and went out of his way to meet me at the dealership even on his day off. The Girard Body Shop has consistently proved that they know their stuff! Ive, unfortunately, had to have both of my vehicles in for repairs multiple times over that last 2 years, but Im thankful to have such an awesome shop to take care of me. :) The quality of work they provide is second to none, and their professionalism is unparalleled. Their customer service is ALWAYS excellent too! Meredith is extremely pleasant to work with and always keeps me updated with the progress of the repairs. Keith, the manager, is very professional and always takes extra time to make sure that I understand the full scope of the repairs being performed. My vehicles are always ready well before their promised date. On July 3rd I went to Girard Nissan looking to get a good honest deal for my trade in and on the purchase of a new Nissan Frontier with a 6 ft bed. I spent almost 4 hours at Girard trying to leave with a new Nissan Frontier crew cab with a 6 foot bed. I guess they looked at a couple other dealers and told me the only 6 ft bed they could get me was in white (the only color I did not want) after going back and forth and telling Girard that all my trucks have been 6 ft beds and that the 5 ft bed look so small that I dont know if I could deal with a 5 ft bed. Against my better judgment I wound up buying the frontier 5 ft bed, I was tired of the haggling and the amount of time that I spent there and wanted it over with. After I got the truck home I realized that I could not deal with the 5 ft bed. A few days later Girard Nissan sent me an email on my new truck purchase, hilited in yellow in their email was the words (100% satisfied) so I replied to the email saying I would have been 100% satisfied if I had a 6 ft bed. A few days later I had a phone call from csi department at Girard asking me how I liked the Nissan, I told them I was not happy because of the bed size, The csi department asked me if I wanted to have the sale manager give me a call I said yes (no one ever called me) I sent an email to the sales department(no reply) I called Nissan consumer affairs they called Girard four different times and asked Girard to give me a call to see if something could be worked out( still no call back from Girard) I called call Girard csi department one more time and I did and still got no reply.

Monday 6/22/15 I just happened to be driving by the dealership when I decided to see what they had in stock, I checked online to see what the reviews were, whilst in the parking lot, they seemed ok, so I decided to check the items they had in stock, I noticed an older gentleman walking out the door to approach me, he brought me in to the show room before I even had a chance to look at any vehicles on the lot. He asked what kind of payment I was looking for, I explained what payment I could do, I also told him I would prefer to put $0 down. But could put $500 down if absolutely necessary. Three hours after I gave them the down payment, they stated that they needed $200 more. Flash forward to today 6/26/15 when I went to the dealership to give them back The vehicle because I was refusing to keep it, when I asked him why did you have me sit around for 4 hours the first day was here, the manager told me that "the credit union was not open so they had to wait until the following day." My initial thought was If the credit union wasnt open, how would they have known that they needed another $200 to secure the financing? Before I ever signed to purchase the vehicle on 6/23/15 they let me take the car home, stating that they were going to work on getting a better financing rate, but to get to the point where I was sent home with the car, I waited 4 hours for them to "work on the financing" whilst my 2 children were running a muck through out the dealership, this seemed to be a tactic to stress me out to the point where I would just sign the papers with out reading them just to get out of there, luckily my husband was here to help with the children, but it was undoubtedly a very stressful time indeed. I took the car home 6/22/15 and brought it to the shop to be checked out, the mechanic explained to me that the transmission was slipping it wouldnt shift into a higher gear when driving down the highway and would rev at six grand until the accelerator pedal was released and furthermore the car would also raise the idol on declining ground. When I went back to the dealership the next day6/23/15 my spouse was unable to go with me, which was scary because he is the one who deals with all of the finances in the household, but the men at the dealership insisted that I come back at this time, so I did.. I explained to the people at the dealership that I was not satisfied with the vehicle at all, I told them explicitly that I didnt want the vehicle, I cited the following reasons as to why I didnt want the vehicle, first there was a severe smoke smell in the car, and also explained that my mechanic told me that the transmission isnt working properly, one gentlemen stated that they could do an extended warranty on it, I do not have his name but he was an older gentleman in his 60s with grey hair, he didnt introduce his self but he did offer a warranty to me. I explained that I still didnt want the vehicle, another salesman stated that he would take the vehicle out for a ride to check it out, this man was in his early 30s had a small build. So when he returned from the test drive he confirmed that the idle was odd whilst going down a hill, this man stated that this was "normal" for a cvt transmission. He didnt check it on a highway to witness the lack of shifting. The sales manager explained that he worked really hard to get me the loan, and that I wouldnt have gotten a loan if he didnt do that work, and also explained if I didnt get a car from them I wouldnt get financing. I asked him what kind of interest rate he got and he said, what does it matter! And refused to tell me, "I kept it within the price range you asked for", he made it seem like I owed him for doing that work. I felt backed into a corner at this point. I told the staff that there were vehicles posted for sale online through other dealerships with far lower miles, at the same

They fixed the cosmetics, but not the frame damage. We brought our car in after an accident. In the initial estimate of damages they missed a serious issue: the clearance between the frame and the rear wheels is very different (there is less than a finger-width of clearance on one side and a hand-width on the other). I pointed it out prior to repairs and they wrote it down. They just called us to say everything is fixed and we can pick it up on Monday. We stopped by when the auto body shop wasnt open and inspected the car. The clearance issue definitely is not fixed. Well see what happens on Monday. At this point, I am not impressed. I shouldnt have to advocate to get them to fix obvious problems. I will follow up when the job is finished.

Unfortunately, what mysticguy refers to as "frame damage" is actually a structural difference in how his unibody vehicle is constructed (the clearance difference is due to the catalytic converter being routed closer to one wheel versus the other). In the interest of customer satisfaction, our Collision Center adjuster did escort the reviewer into our shop so that our technician could demonstrate that his vehicle was structurally sound, and repaired as necessary.

I went in to look at a frontier, I am closing on a house so they cant hit my credit until its done. They told me to come back when they can run my credit and wouldnt bother working with me. I then went to nissan of norwich and they worked with me and worked out a deal. As soon as I can I will go back to Nissan of Norwich and pick a Frontier up from them.

Keith Krouch and the team at Girard Nissan body shop did a fantastic job repairing my 2001 Ford Expedition. The paint is a brilliant red which is very difficult to match and they took the extra time to match it correctly - that isnt easy. About 10 years before I had taken it to another dealership in Florida for some repair work and they didnt match the paint correctly and it showed. The folks were friendly and helpful. Thanks to their efforts, the car looks great again.

I have nothing but good words for this dealership. As we all know, service is the big topic when buying and owning a car. I bought my 2005 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab from them. The salesman is no longer with the company, but exemplified the above and beyond effort they make to serve customers. After sales, comes service. I really enjoy the people there. I am always greeted with a smile from the sales team. In service, Richard is the guru, and Kevin is on top of things, emailing me confirmation of my recent appointment. I think this may be new communication and I approve. If I have a question on service to be performed or completed service, I am very satisfied with their explanation. My truck has had some extensive engine work, and they tested the vehicle completely to ensure that when I received, it would operate as expected. Truth be told, I stepped on the gas when I got to the street, nothing fell off, and the truck continues to run fine. I count on them to maintain my truck for many more miles. They have made changes by adding a second waiting area up front where large windows flood the area with light. Small changes can make a big impact. This shows that they are really trying to make customers feel at ease.

I have had excellent service from Girard Nissan ever since I purchased my Altima from them four years ago. This was my first Nissan, after four Hondas in the previous 21 years. I made it very clear from the start that I hoped for better treatment from their service department than I had experienced with the Honda dealership, and so far so good. Richard usually is my service adviser and he is excellent. He really seems to like what he is doing and therefore he does it well. He is very knowledgeable about his product and service, and also extremely personable. My first impression of Girard Nissan was very positive - Bob, the salesman, was so helpful and also just such a nice person to deal with (car buying is not one of my favorite activities!) - no wonder he is still with Girard Nissan, now as sales manager. So all in all, I am very satisfied with Girard Nissan and I surely hope that this continues.

I bought a used 2012 Nissan Rogue almost a year ago. It had 12k miles on it. Jamie Koulbanis was our salesman and is fantastic! We took our time and he was patient all of the way. We just had our 30k check up and Richard was our consultant. He was very professional. This was an expensive service but we got a lot done and I believe it was well worth it. The parts department has been a big help as well. Bill has really helped us out. I ordered a Tourneau Cover and it came in as was not operational. They have sent it back with a new one on order. It was a lot cheaper than a Tourneau Cover for a Honda - let me tell you! I have sent someone there already and they have had a great experience as well.

We have purchased 5 new vehicles over the past 20 years from Girard. Wafic has been our salesperson and was wonderful. We have had issues with the service department in the past, i.e. they couldnt repair the A/C in our brand new Titan after several visits but when we brought it to our local mechanic he repaired it immediately. Our last visit was for body work to our 2012 Frontier. A 5-day job turned into 10 days and we feel very dissatisfied with the way the financial part of the transaction was handled. Also noticed after getting the vehicle home that there was one small spot that wasnt painted. We will probably touch it up ourselves once we go to another dealership to purchase the touch up paint since Girard didnt have any. Unfortunately, we will be bringing our vehicles (both Nissans) to another dealership for repairs and service in the future and will not be making any future purchases at Girard.

9.06.13- I have visited Girard Nissan Service Department for service of my 2007 Nissan Altima. This time they machined and re-installed rear brakes rotors and replaced rear brakes pads. And addition they have washed my car free of charge and within a couple hours I drove back my car in clean and perfect condition. They are always very friendly and helpful people. Excellent maintenance and customer service received. Brought my 2008 Sentra for routine check on 8/23/2013, great service done and "cautioned" parts needing attention via the Nissan MPI explained well. I would definitely look into those mentioned items. Also, my Pathfinder was scheduled the following day but Mr. Richard Girard, told me to go ahead and bring it in after the Sentra. I went in for my one year check up on my 2012 Sentra, as well as having a leaky tire and a trunk that wouldnt close. They explained everything to me about the check up, and then came in during the other work and let me know what the progress was. It took a little longer than I thought, but was not a lot longer. I had a time quote on the check up, not the other work, so it adds up. I didnt feel as if they tried to sell me extra stuff, and were straightforward with what the costs were and what was being done. Richard, in service, was particularly helpful, and I had spoken to him on the phone to make my appointment. When I called back I got another guy, I think Kevin, and he gave me to Richard when he found out I had spoken with him previously. I think its good that you work with the same employee throughout the process. That was a big plus for me.

8.14.13- I have visited Girard Nissan Service Department for service of my 2007 Nissan Altima. This time they have replaced worn fluid in power steering system and technician replaced both front wiper blades. They also have replaced, free of charge, engine oil and filter and have washed my car. They are always very friendly and helpful people. They are answered all my queries, and within a couple hours I drove back my Altima in clean and perfect condition. And addition they did Multi Point Inspection free of charge and gave me detailed recommendations for future services. Thank you for excellent service.

The body shop did amazing work on my car. They worked very well with me and my insurance company and were able to answer any questions I had. I was going to be out of town when my car was finished and they held it until I was back at no extra charge. I highly recommend them to anyone needing car service. I dont even drive a Nissan. I will continue to take my vehicles there for future service.

I purchased a vehicle on Monday 8/5/13 and the whole process was long and dragged out got to the dealership at 8:30am and left at 2:30pm left with the car and a dealer plate, i had requested when i bought the car to have the hood replaced. Since I left the dealership I have called 3 times in the past week asking when the parts would be in. Also since I left the dealership my brakes seem to be going which I also told my sales-person who brushed it off and said he would have someone look at it. New problem is now my paperwork they gave me for the dealer plates expired which i also told the sales person who said well look at it when you come down. I have called the dealership 3 times and they have always said they would call me back and I have yet to receive a call from the dealership. This is the last time I go to this dealership!!!!

My experience was OK. We have always purchased our cars here and I feel the prices are always very reasonable, and the cars I find to be the cleanest of any dealer. I do find them to be typical salesmen, and you have to keep reminding them of what you need once you have made the sale. I was disappointed that I had to make 2 trips to the dealership for them to get the scratches off my used car. I was not impressed at all with the salesman Carlos, he claimed me when I had very little time to check out the car I just wanted to see if it was worth coming back for. When I came back I had Jason who was very pleasant and honest. Carlos kept trying to be involved but should have minded his business at that point. When I had set up to have my car tended to the second time I had requested a loaner and what needed to be done. When I called to confirm this, I had to repeat all the information once again I felt it should have been remembered if I was such a good customer like I was told I was.

We were on vacation in Rhode Island when we had an accident with our new Sentra 2013. We went to Girard Nissan for an evaluation on the car. Their service rep Erica was so kind and helpful explaining the damages and ordering the parts we needed. They had the parts the next day and did the repairs in 1 hour. We really appreciate their honesty and efficiency in handling the situation. We highly recommend Girard Nissan.

Me and my wife bought a brand new car in February and we were told by the salesman that the maintenance would be free as long as we kept it up to date, my wife took the car in today to have the oil changes and they charged us more then $100. Now they arent answering my calls or returning my messages.

Richard in service is so wonderful to do business with. He is so genuine and aims to please his customers in any way he can. Its only been a week since my car purchase, but so far I have nothing but high praise for the entire experience. The repairs are fine but this is the second time that I have brought my truck for repair and parts were left in my vehicle that I figured out myself to put back. Also, my vehicle was cleaned and I was not informed that some of my belongings were place or taken out of the vehicle without prior authorization. These items were no value but again they are missing. My antenna again was put on my vehicle when I have specifically had taken it off for my xm radio. speaking of my XM radio my fm transmitter was unplugged and my holder of my xm radio holder was also hanging when I got into my 04 GMC Envoy. Finally, my radio was turned off and set on 88.3 with the ac/heat completely off. when I returned to my vehicle the radio was set to a complete different channel and my ac was left on 5. These little things may seem small but its the point that this is the second time that these things have happen where there are parts left in my vehicle that i do not know where they went until I researched and figured it out. This place is a good repair place but for me I had a few bad experiences with the items i mentioned above. This repair shop is close for me. I would recommend this repair shop to others but I do have to say use caution on items in your vehicle and how you left the inside of your vehicle.

On Tuesday, 7-16-13, my 2007 Nissan Frontier wouldnt start on at least 3 occasions. About 10 minutes after the initial attempt, it did start. On the 3rd time it started up, I drove to Girard Nissan on Gold Star Highway in Groton. Richard Girard waited on me. He listened intently to my description of the problem. It still seemed a little out of the ordinary. But he was able to take my vehicle in and have a mechanic look at it. Within a half hour, he came into the waiting room and explained the problem the technician had diagnosed. He told me the parts manager, Bill Kersteter, would have the part delivered overnight and the technician would put a temporary fix on the situation so that I could drive it home that night. I brought my truck back in Wednesday afternoon and the repair was done in short order. The friendliness of the staff members I dealt with, the timliness of the diagnosis and repair and the low cost of having this problem taken care of all made this an overall very pleasant experience in my dealings at Girard Nissan. Couldnt be more pleased.

I went there to buy a new car, well they talked me into buying and I bought it. The interest rate was quiet high, but I understand that is their way to make money. The thing that makes me mad is that I was new buyer and I think they had big advantage over me. They are Really nice people and they threat like family. Last week, 5/30/2013, I brought my 2010 Altima in for service .Employee/supervisors Kevin and Rich were there to assist. Supervisor Kevin handled my service on a noise coming from the left wheel. We did a brief test ride and I was given a time to expect a call on the trouble, which I did. I was given a courtesy ride across the Gold Star bridge to work which is greatly appreciated. Trouble was a wheel bearing and it was repaired promptly, plus an oil change. The generosity and professionalism given to me by the service department is why I continue to lease and purchase cars from this dealership. The noise from the wheel is no longer there and it has been 4 days, and I have been listening for it. Thank you Girard Nissan and especially Supervisor Kevin.

Girard Nissan, I would imaging any dealership owned by this group, is the exemplification of a slimy, greedy, lying stereotypical dealership. I along with three others have been left with no other feeling other than cheated. No one seems to want to help, no one backs up what you may be promised. Whatever you are told, it is not the truth!
