Honda Barn failed my car for inspection due to a leaking Power Steering Pump. I had 2 private mechanics double-check; they denied any sign of leaks AND passed my car for inspection. Turns out Honda Barn dumped oil all over the engine and misdiagnosed their own mistake as a "leaking power steering pump." They tried to charge me $600 to replace the pump. After confronting them and proving them wrong [in their own shop], they ended up paying me for the engine cleanup bill. Had I not double-checked these guys, I would have paid $600 for their mistake. To date, this was the worst mechanic experience Ive ever had. It was a painful reminder to never take my car to a dealership for maintenance or repairs.

I want to thank your staff and bring to your attention the outstanding and compassionate customer service provided my wife and I last week. As we were traveling from Maine to our Atlanta home, our car made a popping sound, the dashboard lit up and we lost power steering at the New Hampshire border tollgate. After inspecting the bottom of the car and finding nothing, we continued onto a safer location to evaluate further. As we continued to drive, the car began to squeal and smelled of burning rubber. Our Honda GPS prompts indicated your dealership was not far from our location. As we pulled into your dealership at 4:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon, your staff assured us we were in good hands and directed us to their service area. Even though it was almost closing time Jeff Aranult, Service Manager, assured us he would take a look at it. It didn’t take long to determine the crankshaft pulley was destroyed and would need to be ordered. At that point it couldn’t be ordered until Monday (with a Tuesday delivery). What an odd feeling it was to be stranded far from home with no car transportation; knowing it was closing time at the Honda Barn dealership; no car rentals available in area and yes no hotel vacancy’s. In stepped Mike Clancy, one of your sales personnel. Although we were from many states away and would most likely not be purchasing a new car, he went out of his way to drive us to several different locations within a twenty mile radius until we were able to secure a room and he knew we would be safe for the weekend. Mike truly breathed life and dedication into the Honda Barn marketing logo “Where Your’re the big deal!” His professionalism and compassion will long be remembered and we shared our Honda Barn story with everyone we encountered during our three-day hotel stay. My wife had medical tests scheduled for 6:00 am on Thursday morning in Atlanta. As promised, your service department received the part and Jeff and your staff had the car ready to go at 9:30 am. It ran like a charm. Two days and 1200 miles later we were home, the car was performing beautifully and the medical tests were complete – all due to the efforts of your team. Your team showed exceptional professionalism, customer service, charity and competency. They were honest, friendly, courteous and caring with us through the entire process. Your excellent model of service helped both my wife and I move from the feeling of being stranded towards the confidence that Honda Barn truly cared in those they served.
