"Great Car, Not So Great Service"
The sales process was an easy going process. I chose my car from their website, called to check availability, and visited the dealer to inspect and test drive the car. After the transaction was completed, I received my documents and went on my way. Unfortunately being a first time buyer, both the seller and I neglected to present the title for the vehicle. I discovered this when I was at the DMV attempting to register the vehicle. Thats when things turned for the worse. I attempted multiple times to discover the status of my title and only after 6 calls, 2 managers, 3 sellers, an operator, and several hours of attempts did I reach my original seller. The seller was actually surprised when I asked for the title and its location and subsequently discovered that it was still at the dealer. After which I promptly picked it up and no other problems arose. So bottom line is the online sales process is excellent but the corresponding service is hit or miss, leaning more to miss.

"Good Impression Turned Sour"
On September 1st I made arrangement to go and view a 2005 Chrysler Town and County at 5 pm. I had sent an inquiry the night before. It was agreed it would be held for me so I could view it as it was a 2 hour drive for me one way and I didn’t want to make the long drive and get there to find the car was not there. I wanted to go in earlier, but there was a few items they were still servicing the car. When I got there, on time for my appointment, the van was out on a test drive with another customer, despite my appointment and hold on the car, however they did make sure that I got to test drive and gave me first choice on the choice on the car. This eased my concerns as they honored what was agreed upon early in the day. I love the van and feel like I got a great deal on it. However, after the purchase, the headaches began. I paid cash in full for it and was sent home with the promise that Tuesday the title would be overnighted to me and I would get it Wednesday. It never came. I thought ok no big deal I will wait a couple of days and if by the beginning of the week it didn’t arrive I would ask about it. They wrote to me first requesting the Maine Title Application back as they needed to send the title and the application in to the state for me. This was in error, as I paid for the car in full and didn’t get a loan for it. I need a title in hand in Maine to register an out of state dealer purchase. My city hall told me not to send it back and have them mail me the title, because if they filed the title registration I couldn’t get plates and register the car until the state of Maine sent me a title which would take 4-6 weeks after Maine received the application. We sent several emails arguing back and forth over the issue, till they finally realized it was a cash deal and I and my City Hall were correct that they needed to send me the title so I could register right away and not wait months to do so. I was told the title would be mailed that day, 9/12, but it wasn’t mailed out that day, as I didn’t receive it till 9/14.It was mailed next day UPS, which means it didn’t go out till the 13th however I was pleasantly surprised they mailed it to my work address as I requested several times. I was half afraid when I didn’t get it on 9/13 they incorrectly sent it to my street address where I can’t receive mail or packages and it had been sent back to them. That is what I was expecting to happen to be honest. To bring this to a close, the car is great, I will need to replace the weather cracked tires that came with it before the snow flies, which wasn’t pointed out to me but the van runs amazingly, I’ve had no issues since buying it and it was a good deal. The salesman who greeted and helped us when we showed up was awesome. But the finance department leaves a lot to be desired. We first left with a good impression that unfortunately quickly turned sour. My husband said next year he wanted to come back to buy a new car for himself and said this would be a great place to buy future cars as well but the issue with receiving the title and how it was handled has both of us agreeing that we won’t be back.

We wanted a truck and they let us just drive it around the parking lot so we tryed it there parking lot. We liked the truck and would have probably bought it if they let us have a real test drive. We even told them that we didnt care if they went with us on the test drive. So we went to an other dealership and they sold us almost the same truck that they had. We have bought two other vehiculs from them and took them out on the road. I dont know what was there problem, but we dont buy without a real test drive.. we probably will never go to them again for a car or truck....

I had been shopping Toyotas and actually had dealerships that did not call me back. I called Irwins, Steve Frateschi, was my first contact there. He was helpful, kind listened to what I was saying and got right back to me. He found answers to some questions I had and played no games. Came back with good numbers and when I told them what mileage I needed, they listened and gave me pricing with that amount of mileage, which did not always happen at some other dealerships. I told him what I was looking for and he found it. After a few days, we were able to get the pricing where we both were happy and at this point he sent me over to Glenn Buehl. He was efficient and got right back to me when I asked questions. I was able to drive to Irwins and meet Glenn. He went over the car thouroughly, was organized and knowlegeble. He helped me with everything including getting my stickers off the car and I would ask for him and Steve next time I need a car. Dennis the Sales Manager offered me maintenance insurance, explained the benefits of having it, and did not pressure me when I said no . He tried to sell me the benefits and expedited the buying process. It was one of the nicer car sales I have ever had. All 3 gentlemen were great to work with and I would recommend them to others.
