Internet Purchase I completed a sale with Tarbox Hyundai after two months of research over the Internet, Consumer Reports, and a visit to numerous dealership to look at vehicles and narrow down my choice. I decided in late June that I wanted a Hyundai Ioniq for its mileage estimates but more for the safety features available. From then on until the sale was concluded the negotiations were all by email. I emailed 8 dealers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. For four, including Tarbox, the email was my first contact.. I had responses from 6 dealers with three submitting a price. Two were close enough to discuss a purchase with and then a final offer from Tarbox after we concluded that as a Massachusetts resident I would not have to pay two sales tax. From then on the email conversation with Tarbox went well. The deal was a final price including Mass tax. The finance manager recognized that we were not going to be interested in any tire insurance, undercoating, overcoat, or other add-ons that simply increased the dealers profit. (It helped to be self-financing and bringing a bank draft for the agreed upon amount). Id definitely go back to Tarbox again...after another Internet search, of course. Bill Allan Boston MA

My wife and I set out to lease a vehicle and ended up purchasing a Sonata. We decided to go to Tarbox Hyundai as my wifes sister purchased a Tucson and had a great experience. When we arrived at Tarbox Hyundai, Jordan came over and introduced himself and inquired on how he could assist us today. I requested to test ride a Sonata. Jordan was friendly, courteous and honest. Jordan took the time to sit down with us and explained the terms of leasing and providing us with all the information. He answered all our questions. We left and would return the next day to pick up the Sonata. We changed our minds and decided we wanted to buy the Sonata and not lease it. My wife called Jordan and he stated he would do everything to have the Sonata ready for us to purchase when we arrive. Jordan was there to greet us when we returned. He had the financial papers ready for us. When we were getting ready to leave with the Sonata, Jordan came with us and took the time to explain all the icons on the dash board. He also stated if we have any questions, or need any further help to just call him. I called Jordan and advised him the cargo net set up was not in the trunk. He immediately arranged for the set up of the cargo net to be installed. I was very pleased with the service I received. We feel Jordan was awesome with us. Kudos to Jordan!! I recently visited Tarbox Hyundai with a young friend to help her purchase a new entry level car. She was naïve to the process and a bit traumatized by overly aggressive salesmen at a different dealership a few days earlier who tried to sell her a used car that she did not want at a inflated interest rate she could not afford. So I took her to Tarbox where my wife and I have purchased several Toyotas in the past. I was confident they would treat her right - regardless of my history with the dealership. The salesman, sales manager and finance manager all took as their mission to get my young friend into the car she loved at a price she could afford. They explained everything to her in detail and helped her clear up complicating issues with financing and insurance. Working together they helped this young woman get a solid footing in life. Now she has a reliable vehicle to get her to multiple part-time jobs, college classes and work as a volunteer firefighter. They certainly showed her that a high quality car dealership can be helpful to first-time car buyers. They likely gained a customer for life.

I went into Tarbox Hyundai for 2 reasons, 1st because I wanted a Hyundai and 2nd because all I saw on the road was tarbox license plate covers so I figured they had to be good at what they did. Even though I didnt end up going with the Hyundai, the fact that he showed me other vehicles told me they were helping me shop for my needs.
