When I think of car purchases I think of not so happy times. Typically I go from buying a car to being sold one. But not this time. Our salesman Jake Roberts actually listened to what we did, and did not want. There was no pressure to change our our original wants just to get a good deal,in fact he worked with us to find what we were looking for, at a great price. I cant say enough about our experience with Jake and the dealership in general.

Recently my wife and I visited Hyannis Honda. When we first arrived we were unsure if purchasing a vehicle was the right move, given our current financial situation. We were greeted by Mike Richards, a member of the sales team. From start to finish, Mike provided a friendly, hassle-free car buying experience. I also would like to mention that one of our interactions with Mike was while he was on his drive home, after working a full day. Once Mike learned that Carrie and I had availability that evening to accomplish some paperwork, he turned around and went directly back to the dealership and stayed several hours beyond his scheduled shift. Mike worked very hard to make sure the price of the vehicle, and the value of our trade in, met our specific needs. We ended up purchasing a 2014 Honda CRV and are very happy with the vehicle. This is by far my best car buying experience. I went in there for the first time at a very late hour (almost closing time), but Mark Arnold was very accommodating to go with and test drive 2013 Honda Pilot (the one I ended up purchasing). Connie from Hyannis Honda called us up out of the blue and offered us a deal we couldnt refuse. they said they had tracked our car as one they would like to take in trade and got us into an identical new crv for virtually the same money. The only extra cost was an extended warranty which we chose to buy and they even pro -rated the remaining amount of warranty we had left on our trade. This is the fourth Honda we have purchased from Hyannis Honda and we feel we are treated very well both in sales and more importantly in the service department.

"Repeatedly Bad Experiences - Go Off Cape!"

I have visited Honda of Hyannis 6 times or so over the years, as CR-Vs have been on my "list". The first used one I tried test drove fine, and also looked fine - until I looked in the engine compartment. There was a great deal of sand - looked like this was a "beach" car - nothing Id feel comfortable buying. The second used CR-V, which was out front and ready for sale, drove with a great deal of front tire noise: the salesman was embarrassed, yet supposedly this had passed their own inspection. On the market for something new about a year ago, I tried first an Insight then a CR-V. I worked mostly with the sales manager Tony Bertocci. I visited the dealership during a slow time, and was very clear that I was early on the the process. I found Mr. Bertocci to be a high pressure sales manager who was very rude in his quest to get me to sign a lease. I didnt. My most recent negative experience there was in taking a relative to purchase a CR-V. The deal they offered (trade plus base cost of the car) was not competitive. After going back and forth on the price a couple of times, including real annoying long visits by the salesperson to the sales manager I showed them the online price I had from another dealer: the salesman checked with his manager and returned stating "that must assume you are financing with them". Nope: just a much better price. We went off Cape to a nearby dealer in Plymouth, and between the trade being over $1,300 better, and the price being about $700 better, we saved over $2,000 over Honda of Hyannis. Same vehicle, same features. I am absolutely staggered at the number of positive reviews for this dealership. At least in the reviews I read I dont see folks comparing prices with off Cape dealerships. If need be I would sign an affidavit that all statements above are true and I do not nor have I ever worked for a car dealership.

The whole experience was very pleasant, straightforward, and no-pressure. Id been looking for a used, medium-sized, 5-speed Honda or Toyota because my car died and I needed a replacement fast. Manual cars are a rare breed these days, but two manual Honda Fits came up on the Hyannis Honda website during a google search, and, although it was close to 8:00 pm, I was called by Jack Moloney only a few minutes after I submitted a request for information. He was the opposite of scary! During my visit the next day, I found Jack to be a knowledgeable, friendly, and straightforward sales consultant with good entertainment value thrown in for free. Thankfully, the Fit turned out to be a good "fit" for me and in good condition, and though I ended up paying just a wee bit more for it than I planned, it was fitted with some extras: new brakes and a pair of new tires. I was very pleased with the way we were treated at Hyannis Honda. We had started out looking for a Ford or a Toyota over the Labor Day weekend. We only went to Hyannis Honda because the Toyota dealership was closed. We had seen a Ford Explorer that we liked, and wanted to compare a family van, since we have 3 children. Because we have a long driveway, we wanted a 4WD or AWD vehicle. The salesman who dealt with us was Jack Moloney, who was very honest, cooperative and friendly, and came up with a beautiful 2012 Honda Pilot that fit the bill. We spent a day comparing the Pilot to other vehicles and re-comparing them, and the whole family finally enthusiastically decided on the Honda.

Caleb Weglarz was an excellent salesperson: friendly and informative, but without the high pressure attitude so prevalent in auto sales. The fact that he seems such a nice young man helped, too. We came in looking at a used CR-V (had just been sold), but were somewhat ambivalent about the MPG. Caleb showed us the 08 Fit and it "fit" us perfectly. What a salesman! "What A Way To Spend An Afternoon"

What a way to spend an afternoon With two more months on my lease I was only looking for information; what I got was a new lease and a new car. Mike ONeil had called suggesting my leased Honda was desirable as a used car since I had fewer than 13,000 miles on it. As a retiree and recent wash-ashore to Cape Cod, I only need a car for local trips and very occasional ones off Cape. I drive the car nearly every day but I dont put a lot of miles it. What I want is convenience and no worries. Hyannis Honda is less than a mile from where I live. Over the almost three years driving the Civic Ive had no problems. My ineptitude at changing the clock when biannual time changes happen has been cheerfully handled by the service department. Im vain enough to want a good looking car which the Civic is and frugal enough to want good gas mileage for my short-run traveling. Mike told me I could terminate my lease a little early. He presented a financial picture that works for me and soon I was choosing between red and blue. Not long after that I was sniffing that new car perfume and on my way home in a new Civic tuned by Mike to my favorite radio station. It took about three hours.
