"No Honor- Herb Chambers And Herb C. Milbury Dealer"
My overall grade for Herb Chambers is a "C", and "D" for this particular dealership. Let me describe the experience. I reached out to one of this Herb Chambers dealership with a request to lease two vehicles. I began my negotiations with the staff, in order to understand and outline the metrics that would be used to define the terms of the sale/lease. For instance, money factor that relates to interest rates, MSRP (i.e., manufacturers price), the minimal residualized MSRP (i.e., the bank dependent depreciation prediction), dealers fees, and most importantly, the "Invoice/Selling Price". Unlike some customers, I go above and beyond to learn and understand the terms of a deal before negotiating. This also allows me to avoid taking a day out of work before going to the dealership (I am a healthcare provider). After several days of learning the formulations, drafting each scenario out in paper, I engaged the staff via email and phone, and after four days the staff finally proposed an offer that they stated would be "honored" for two days. They did not honor the deal... but the story goes on. As a conservative and non-impulsive consumer, I waited until I received formal documents that confirmed the offer, which along with the promise to "honor" that offer, assured me that it was a "done deal." This was reason enough to take time off of work and to travel to the dealership. The result of my travels and time were anything but a sealed deal. After days of emails and calls, and hours of back-forth travels, the dealership did not "honor" the offer. Their response...A "mathematical error". Math is a core element of my profession and so, it was unclear as to whether there was truly a "mathematical error". Surely, they could have further discounted the "selling price" or evaluated another bank for rates that may have deviated from the estimated. Or, perhaps they could simply have honored the straight-forward math, which was embodied in the proposed offer. Dealerships have a way of trying to confuse consumers by mixing up a lot of terms and mathematical formulas. Many of the large dealerships (e.g., Herb Chambers) have financial software/computer programs that are able to shift the numbers around, and this process is often used to favor the dealer. In the words of the manager at this site, "if it had been a $500 discount maybe we could honor it, but any more than that... we cant"... Contractually, there may have been something here, but at the end of the day, it is far better to share the story so as to help many of you avoid the same situation. Ultimately, I do not believe that it was acceptable for an organization that markets itself as a "customer first to disregard the honorific proposal. The second vehicle that I was actively negotiating was actually given to Mr. Herb Chambers personal pilot, while I (the customer) was expending mental energy, physical energy as it relates to my travels, and time in the negotiation process of the vehicle, which had already depreciated 11% (i.e., lost value) from the moment it was driven off the lot by the corporate employee. I contacted the manager and corporate office to share my concerns and experience, but those discussions did not seem constructive. Instead, I received similar sales conflict resolution approach where numbers were re-worked in favor of the dealer. I received a classic response, "most dealerships wouldnt even bother to call or apologize, but I wanted to call you because we are different." I also received a unique response, "you shouldnt have been told that Mr. Chambers pilot had the vehicle." I appreciate the transparency as to the latter response, but it doesnt change the overall experience and bad business. Herb Chambers personal assistant called me to try and preserve Herbs reputation, but there was no follow- through. Why would a billionaire care about losing a customer. They went on to drag me along for a second time (3+days)... insanity..

Purchased used 2008 GMC Envoy-- Terrific salesperson Pierre from the Fiat showroom-- there was no high pressure tactics. Usually sitting in the finance office is the worst part, but Nathalie was great, got the best deal for me with warranty and interest rates. Would buy another car there just because of what she did. Overall one of the best car buying situations that I can remember.

To me, buying a car is a stressful process, but the entire team (sales, front desk, finance, GM) at this dealership made our experience amazing. Dave Lachina was our sales consultant who was extremely patient, knowledgeable and helpful in assisting us purchasing the perfect car. The GM, Doug Magliozzi, was more than accommodating ensuring we get the best price and a great car. They also offered us a loaner until the car registration was complete. The fact that this dealership processed all the paperwork (finance, registration, plates) and I didnt have to do anything but drive the car away was so helpful! Dropped in one Saturday afternoon to look at a used Taurus they had. Pierre Tomas came out of the showroom to greet me and my son. He showed us the car and let us take it out with no appointment, no demand for a deposit, and no pressure to buy. Just copied my license, handed us the keys and that was it. When we came back, we talked a little bit about the car and me and my son left. No pressure from Pierre for a deposit or anything, he just gave us a card and wished us good luck in our search. A few weeks later I booked an appointment through an online car search website to drive the car again, not realizing it was the same car at the time. After they called to confirm, I realized that it was the dealership where Pierre works. I called him and asked if he could be there for my visit. This time I brought the whole family, and Pierre had the car ready to go when we arrived. We went for another test drive and again no hassles from Pierre. I got home and decided to buy the car, called Pierre and he handled the whole deal perfectly. I had told him my concerns after the test drive and he had the car looked at by the service department. A problem was found and repaired with Pierre keeping me informed of the repair progress right along. The only thing that bothered me a little was waiting for paperwork one evening, but David did the best he could and took care of me as soon as he finished finding financing for another customer. The delay wasnt anyones fault, it was just a busy evening. The waiting room was very comfortable and Pierre and David did what they could to move things along and get us on our way. We came to get the car on a Saturday and unfortunately some parts hadnt arrived as hoped, so they gave we a new Jeep Renegade full of gas as a loaner. Pierre called Monday afternoon and told me my car was ready and when me and my son arrived he pulled it out of the showroom garage shined up and ready to go. We exchanged keys, a handshake and some kind words, and we were happily on our way home in my newly purchased car. Ive got to tell you that customer service is a big deal to me. Earlier the same week I cancelled a purchase at a different dealership at the very last minute because of poor customer service. That dealership tried to give me the used car dealer treatment after I drove 80 miles round trip to pick up paperwork one night to help with their end of month count. There was none of that nonsense from Pierre at Herb Chambers, he was professional and courteous at all times. I highly recommend Pierre and Herb Chambers of Millbury and plan to visit them the next time Im in the market for a car, which should be next year. Whenever the time comes, you better believe that Ill check in with Pierre when I start that search. Good customer service leads to repeat business, and Pierre Tomas has earned my repeat business. I brought my car in for a safety recall service and was most pleased with the level of service I received here. Not only did the service dept. provide me with a free loaner car while repairs were being done--they were able to finish repairs in a timely fashion. I would like to mention my service advisers Brett, Josh and service manager, Charles who were attentive to all my needs and dedicated to their jobs and good examples of efficient customer service. They are all an asset to this dealership!

I recently had my Fiat 500 repaired at this facility for a reoccuring safety recall issue(clutch failure)..Not only was the repair work completed in a timely fashion but the service staff at this dealership were professional, efficient and courteous through the whole process! They provided me with a loaner car at no charge and worked through the safety recall issue directly with the Fiat Corporation until my problem was resolved. Special recognition to Service advisors Brett, Josh and service manager Charles..They were all instrumental in making my service experience a truly satisfied one.

I visited Herb Chambers Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram of Millbury on the 20th of Novemeber. Being in sales, I was really interested in just getting a good deal with little to no effort. The purchase was for a 2015 Ram Procity for my fathers company. I am familiar with Herb Chambers and trusted that they would make the process easy and that they would take great care of me. I have to say that I am blown away! From the second I walked in and Met the Sales Manager Lou, who then introduced me to our product specialist Eric, to the very end of the process, my expectations have been far exceeded. Everything was full disclosure and I didnt catch even a second of them playing any games or trying to one up us. When it came to financing, our business manager, Pat, made it super easy as well. He got us a phenomenal rate and made sure that we we understood what everything meant. Its extremely tough now a days to find a dealership that truly listens and cares about what the customer wants and needs. I first contacted this dealership via the Internet after I spotted a used model they had that interested me. I was promptly contacted by Melanie, the Internet sales manager, who let me know some more info about the car I was interested in. I was physically unable to go look at the car or commit right away because I had been in a pretty bad auto accident, which was why I needed a new vehicle. Melanie took the time to consistently stay in touch with me, without any pressure, to just update me on the status of the car I liked as well as to see how I was doing. Several weeks after my first contact with Melanie, I was finally able to commit to an appointment to come look at the car but unfortunately the particular car I wanted was no longer available, having been sold just a day or two before my arrival at the dealership. At the dealership, my wife and I were greeted by Tom Sanderson and Nelly Lamaj, who was new and shadowing Tom during our appointment. Tom and Nelly were very knowledgable about the brands they sell, also they were quick to get answers from other sources if they didnt have it themselves. Due to my physical health I was unable to run around the lot with Tom but he was great as he showed my wife the different cars and Nelly was courteous and kind as he stayed with me. After going over different options we settled on a great certified pre owned vehicle that was the right price and everything I wanted. Paperwork was quick with Steve and we wrapped everything up and left the dealership feeling good about the service we received. We will definitely consider returning for another vehicle when that time arises and will recommend this location to friends and family.

I recently purchased a 2014 jeep wrangler through Tom Sanderson and may I just say that he was the best sales associate I have ever have had the pleasure of working with. Buying a car can be a very stressful and scary process. I was in a car I did not like and had a not so great experience purchasing that vehicle. I wanted to get into something newer and loved the new Fiat 500L, but thought with my credit and negative equity on my car that purchasing new was out of the question. But I contacted Herb Chambers Fiat of Worcester and was contacted right away by Julie Dube in the Business Development Center and she was very friendly and responded to all of my questions promptly. I set up an appointment to meet with a sales person at the dealership just to take a look fully not expecting to purchase anything or just seeing if it was even a possibility. When I arrived at the dealership I met with Frank Salce who greeted me warmly and offered me ice cream, or a coffee/espresso! :-) So far so good! He then proceeded to show me the Fiat 500L and was very knowledgeable about the product and showed me everything about the vehicle inside and out. We then took the vehicle for a test drive and I immediately fell in love with the car! So there was not much he had to say to me when we got back to sell me on what a great car it was. But Frank was very understanding of my situation and genuinely took an interest in helping me get out of my current vehicle into driving something I would actually enjoy driving everyday. I then met with Jason in the finance department who was also amazing! The financing part is always the most nerve wracking experience and he explained everything to me and did all he could to get me the monthly payment I would be comfortable with. What was amazing is that I was able to get a loan at 4% when my previous car loan was at 11%! After I was done with financing I just had to wait a couple of hours for the car to be detailed and again met with Frank for any last minute questions and a walk through of the vehicle to make sure I was happy with it before driving it off the lot. Frank was a true gentleman through the entire process and I would certainly recommend this dealership to anybody interested in purchasing a Fiat! I love the car and look for any excuse to drive it! I will definitely be back when I am ready to purchase another vehicle down the road. Highly recommended!!

Hello, I had written a review previously with a complaint about not receiving a second key with our newly purchased Chrysler 200 that we had bought from Herb Chambers Chrysler in Millbury MA. Since my review, I would like to say we have gotten a second key at no cost. I would also like to add, that there was a small spot of rust on our car that we had not noticed as we had purchased our vehicle at night and took it home that same night. The dealership also fixed the spot of rust for us and did a wonderful job. Thank you Mike Nicoletti for helping us out and everyone else that helped also. Ive bought a Jeep here previously and decided I wanted another - so I visited and test drove with Tom Sanderson. Explained I was still at least 45-60 days away...he treated me as if I was attempting to purchase the vehicle that day and kept in contact but wasnt aggressive or pushy. Very knowledgeable and great with buying process; got me everything I needed in the vehicle and followed up after I took delivery to make sure everything was as I expected. I would definitely consider another jeep once my lease is up; the new Trailhawk is top notch and HC Milbury is the best place in New England to inquire and buy!

I went into the Herb Chambers Jeep Dealership on Sat May 24, 2014 Memorial Day weekend to test drive a used Jeep Liberty. I havent owned or bought a car in over 10 years. Salesman Andrew Lemovitz met me at the door. He was very nice, cool and informative. What I liked most about him is is that he pretty much let me figure out which one I wanted. No pressure very easy transaction. Andrew left the dealership open for me after they closed so I could drive in from Boston to pick up my car. Went in with one specific vehicle in mind. Sat down with Claude Lemoine who was one of the most respectful sales people Ive ever met. Did not beat around the bush, was willing to work with me, and most importantly was honest. Ended up getting a deal done, and am very happy I chose this dealership. He even bought me lunch because of the traveling I did to get to the dealership. awesome! Working with Tom Mulcahy was awesome! no pressure at all, friendly and knowledgeable. A really great experience. The day I was going to pick up my Journey was Toms day off, he came in and was there to take care of me. How many people do that! I hope in the future when I need to buy again that either he will be there or someone with the same attitude towards customers will be. He made the paperwork go quickly and easily. No problems at all. If any of my friends need to look for a dealer I will tell them to ask for Mr. Mulcahy.

I have always been apprehensive about the new car buying process. But everyone at Herb Chambers Fiat helped change that. The entire staff from the sales manager to the finance person and even the person answering the phones was incredibly friendly and helpful. Most especially I want to mention Frank Salace who was always very knowledgeable and informative. He helped steer us through the different options without ever being pushy or trying to sell us more car than we needed. On top of that, I suspect we were probably amongst his most difficult customers of the year; we very quickly and impulsively chose one car after another always with slight variation. Frank just kept smiling and conducted exhaustive searches of the dealers in the surrounding area, doing his best to keep up with our changes. The car we finally ended up with is absolutely perfect and has become my wifes favorite accessory. (a reviewer in London called the pop a "handbag" on wheels). The car is so much fun and everyone at Herb Chambers was so great that we will be back next year for our daughters graduation present.

Nas was beyond helpful. Our car died on the highway so we needed a new car immediately. We had rented the Fiat 500 in Ireland many times and loved it . NSA was able to get a test drive, finance and the car detailed in just a few hours. We drove the new car home that day. He did cartwheels for us and we so appreciated his effort. The whole process was seamless because of the staff, mostly Nas, who knew the product and the process to get us back on the road. He made a very stressful situation so much better. Absolutely amazing service from my Sales Associate Mark Masuzzo. As soon as I walked into the dealership, I felt like I was at home. It was a quick and easy process working with Mark and Mike, the Sales General Manager. Even having bruised credit, I was approved for financing on my new (used) vehicle. My sales person Elmer Vosien was outstanding, We could not reach a deal on my first visit But Elmer kept on working for me and ten days later we had a deal on another vehicle along with some unexpected help from Mike Nicoletti the general sales manager with my trade in allowance!! I never felt any pressure to buy from them at ANY time witch was a big plus

I am pretty particular about what I like to drive when it comes to a pick up truck. I was in the market to replace my 176,000 mile Ford with a "new-used" truck and was making the rounds to the various lots when I met Andy (this was his second week on the job). We discussed what I was looking for, and during our talk I found Andrew to be courteous, knowledgable (in not only what he represented but in other makes and models as well), and most importantly, seemingly truly interested in finding the truck that was right for me. He was right up front in telling me that he only had a couple of vehicles that might fit some of my requirements, so rather than wasting my time he would get back to me if something came up. Over the next week he called me several times to let me know he was still looking, and on New Years Eve day left me a message that he found the truck he thought would be perfect for me. I only had New Years Day off so he offered to come in on his day off to show me the truck and I was instantly sold. I even got a pretty good deal. I have bought many vehicles over the years and this is the first time a salesman has put no effort in trying to shoehorn me into something that wasnt right for me and 100% effort in making sure what he showed me matched what I was looking for. In fact, he told me that when he took the truck in trade he told the previous owner that he knew just the right person to show the truck to. When I told him I was very happy with his effort and the end result he replied: "Youre spending $30,000 for a truck and its only right that I spend the time making sure its the right truck.". If youre in the market for a new vehicle I highly recommend you ask for Andy. If he cant find what youre looking for it doesnt exist.

As a loyal FIAT fanatic, and an independent professional female, I can truly say that no matter where I move to, I will remain loyal to this establishment! Being treated with respect and receiving honest, informative, knowledgeable, professional service goes a long way. Having conducted business with many dealerships, this one is the diamond in the rough that I recommend all to visit. You will go and be treated like family, you will be very well cared for and appreciated, and you will receive more value than you would expect from the communications and experience. In wanting to expand my horizons and the desire to have a vehicle with more room than the FIAT 500 Sport I love more than anything, my wish was granted when the 500 L was released. But initially I couldnt afford it on my budget. Frank, AKA Frank the FIAT put no pressure on me, but became instantly my business friend. He never forgot me and notified me if there was anything near possible within my budget. A couple months later I went in for service and stopped by to say hello to Frank and to see how everything was going. The next thing I knew, I left with a brand new 500 L that met all my expectations and was within my budget. It was magic. My sister called me and said I was rushing and that as a female, I should have a man with me to make sure I wasnt going to fall for any catches. I ignored this advice because I knew that this is the place where I will receive honesty and integrity during such a significant business transaction. My experience at this establishment has been consistently impressive and these professionals have never let me down. Working the numbers over the course of months demonstrated their true mission which is not just to make a sale and rush you out the door; no, this team works beyond their regular hours to take as long as the customer needs and to guarantee the customer is receiving whatever he or she needs. This is service catered to each individual customer; a rare jewel in this rushed environment we now live in. I will only return here for service and I will always go feeling like I am visiting familiar faces that Ive grown to know and appreciate. Asking how one anothers families are doing is just an example of how personal, and still highly professional, this establishment is. Please visit this location and if you are a FIAT fanatic, you will enjoy the impressive surprise within the 500 L!
