My husband and I had a very smooth, easy transaction while buying a certified pre-owned Honda CRV at Bay Ridge Honda recently. But I honestly think thats because our salesperson, Justin Harmon, was such a nice, smart person who seemed to respect us and wasnt sleazy. (And sleazy people definitely work at this dealership; I overheard an incredibly chauvinistic conversation between a male employee and a female receptionist that made me shudder, and the man who "closed out" the sale, where I signed all the paperwork, was an a-hole.) But, we spent most our time working with Justin, so all was good. We made an appointment, and arrived with print-outs for the cars wed seen on their website, plus Kelley Blue Book values, so we felt pretty prepared. Justin showed us a few cars that hit the description of what we wanted but werent on their website yet, plus the ones we saw earlier. He didnt try to upsell us or force us to buy something we didnt want. He seemed pretty honest and knowledgeable and helped guide us through the process, got our insurance set up, and our license plates. We arrived at 9:30 a.m. and left at 2:30 p.m. with a nice car that we felt was a good value. Even after the deal was closed, we noticed a small streak on the ceiling, and he offered to have it cleaned for us. All in all, wed recommend this dealership if you get a good salesperson, like Justin, and wed definitely return to work with him again. I think just showing up and ending up with the luck of the draw could be annoying.

I dealt with the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Unit at 8902-16 Fourth Avenue. I got the CRV that I wanted ... just the way I wanted it ... at a price that was lower than I expected. This is my second Honda CPO vehicle in two years. The CPO experience affords drivers like myself the new car feel without the new car smell ... or the new car price. I considered leasing, but I abuse the crap out of my cars. Looking at the "excess wear and tear" clauses of many leases, it doesnt take a genius to know that they want that car back in showroom condition... And I dont buy a car to leave it in a garage. I want to drive my car wherever I want for however many miles I want ... without having to worry about acorns falling from trees and blemishing the sheet metal. Jeff Goldberg was my salesperson at Bay Ridge Honda CPO and Rob Telles was his manager. Everyone from Chastity, the receptionist, to Paul, the Finance Rep, were respectful and courteous. They didnt push any options on me that I didnt want and made the buying experience stress free. The showroom could use some new furniture, but you couldnt ask for a better buying experience.

We bought a VW CC Sport with the help of Jeff Jenkins shortly before Thanksgiving. This was our first car-buying process and Jeff spent about three hours with us. We had researched the cars we wanted to drive, Jeff let us drive each specific car we inquired about, answered all our questions, and gave us time and space to come to our decision. After we decided to purchase it was smooth sailing - the dealership cleaned up the car and prepared it for us within a week, and two rips in the carpet that I complained about Jeff made sure they prepared. While the rips would have been covered by the mats, Jeff went above and beyond to address my concerns before we picked up the car. We paid in about ten minutes, and a problem with our address was quickly sorted out by Jeff (we were in the process of moving, so it was an easy mistake to make). The cherry on top? The DMV sent our registration to our new address before had formally moved, and the registration was sent back to Jeff at the dealership. He immediately contacted us, let us know he had it, and sent it to us again. Our car has been great, based on lots of research we got a very fair price, and the customer service was great. We will probably need to buy another car in a year or two and we plan to go back to Jeff and the Bay Ridge dealership. Thank you for everything!

I walked into this dealership after several others, my first several visits to other dealers were not good. I was turned down for a car loan. The dealer I went to before Bay Ridge Honda had found a bank to give me a loan with a $5000 finance charge which I have never heard of, but I thought that was my only option. My boyfriend convinced me to give it one more try at Bay Ridge Honda. I am so thankful I took his advice being I was so frustrated and ready to give up. To begin with,the woman on the phone who made my appointment,already had me feeling positive explaining they are known to help even people who have been turned down by banks before. The salesman took his time looking at his inventory to get as close to a deal that I was looking for. Ray showed me several beautiful cars that I thought I would not get the deal. I thought Ive been turned down so many times ,how will this dealer get me a loan on such good cars. Ray explained my situation to the manager and together they said they will work on getting me my loan and they were very confident about it. Wow! They actually did it and may I add with no finance fee and no high monthly payments. The car was actually less than what I was willing to spend. I know this seems hard to believe because from my experience salesman always try to raise your original budget you walked in with. Well all I can say is Thank You Ray! And your Manager.
