We first leased a 2017 Kia Forte from John Constantine, and Sales Manager Dirk DeHooge, for my daughters. My daughters loved the car, and from the time we went to the dealership till the time we left, there was no pressure. Everything went smooth. A few months later, we then worked out a deal on a 2017 Kia Sportage, which was a lease as well.

"Got Off On The Wrong Foot..."
I visited Kia of Manahawkin to purchase a 2016 Kia Optima. I was introduced to my salesperson, Nick, who was initially a good salesmen. After my test drive, we returned the following day to negotiate an offer similar to one I had gotten from another dealer. To my surprise, Nick laughed in my face when i presented my numbers and told me he would not even bring my deal to a manager since the deal was so absurd. Needless to say, i got up, having wasted my time with a arrogent salesperson such as Nick, and walked out. I was contacted about 10 minutes later from the manager, Dirk, who agreed upon the deal i presented to them. Upon returning to the dealership, i would not have Nick be a part of this deal any longer due to his unprofessional and unacceptable attitude and manner of dealing with a customer. We were introduced to Cary, and finalized the deal. Cary was an excellent salesperson from beginning to end and spent a good deal of time going over the features of the vehicle, and of the dealerships service department. Cary and Dirk were very professional and I would still return to this dealership, even though we got off on the wrong foot.

Without getting long winded, the story is pretty basic. I had spent a month searching for a new car. My old one was 17 years old (of which I had her for 15 of those years) and she was costing me a fortune in repairs. I had called and physically visited many dealerships and no one was willing to work with my tight, but what I thought was not "unreasonable" budget. I was at the end of my rope and about to pour $2000 into my old car when I called Manahawkin KIA on a friends advice (they had gotten their car there). Not only were they willing to work with me, they got me far more than I had imagined. Darren, Dirk and the rest of the team stayed late on a Saturday evening to help me, well after close. They went above and beyond and have earned a customer for life. I am advising my friends go there and I will be going back. I can not thank them enough for everything that they did to help get me in a brand new 2017 KIA Optima Ex. Most amazing, no pressure sales team ever!

"Good Kia Soul Buying Experience With Darrin"
I was very happy working with Darrin on this Kia Soul purchase. He is a pleasant young man to work with. I test drove both a 2014 used model and a 2016 new model. Darrin was thorough in pointing out the features of the cars during the test drives, noting some advantages/improvements of the 2016 model. With Darrin and his sales manager, we came to terms on both the used and the new model, so I had a choice on which way to go. So even though the new one was more than I wanted to spend, the 0% financing available on new Kia swung me over to buying new. So I feel Darrin gave me the options and info that I needed to make an informed decision and I think I got a pretty good deal here.
