"Not What Id Expect"
Now I dont on an Infiniti, but my Mom Does! She lives in the LA area, and when I go out to visit her, she usually asks me to run a few errands for her, which means I get to joyride her G35 around town! She insists on getting her car serviced at the dealer, because she purchased some service plan with her car. I pulled up to the Santa Monica Dealerships service department, and talked with John. He said the oil change, rotation, and trans services would be about 2 hours. Having 2 hours to kill, I went across the street to this bar called, "Busbys" for some lunch. Food was pretty good, but thats for a different review. I still had over an hour until my Moms car was supposed to be done, so I figured Id kick some tires over at the dealership. I was looking at some used vehicles out on the lot, and within a minute or two, I was asked if I needed help. I politely said "No, just getting service." He told me to let him know if I needed any help, and let me be. I was/still am looking for a car, but I didnt want to deal with it then. After about 30 - 40 minutes of reading car specs on different cars, John, the service guy came up to me and said my Moms car was complete. I was happy they finished it before the time I was quoted, and he took his time to find me in the lot, Kuddos to you John! On the way back to the service department, I was approached by Patric, a sales guy. He said, "Real quick, I saw you looking at the used G37, and you looked pretty interested." I told him I was, but it was probably out of my price range. Now, at this point I usually try and go my separate way, but I was waiting for the guy to try and sell me. He didnt, instead, he told me, depending on my budget, he might have something for me, and to give me a call when I was ready. We went back and forth for a while; he was quoting me lower pricing than the sticker on a few vehicles, that seemed to be nice, and most importantly affordable. At the end, I said I just wasnt ready, but Id probably come back when it wasnt errand day. A few days later, I compared the pricing on Kelly Blue Book, and some of the cars were hovering close to the trade-in value, one was actually lower than. I am currently in communication with Patric, but Im not quite ready to pull the trigger. Overall, these guys are pretty nice! I didnt feel pressured to do anything, the service department did what I asked faster than they expected, and I might buy a car from them. The pricing seems good for the area, and it looks like they receive enough business not to follow-up with me, but they have been, so when Im ready, Ill probably buy from them!
"Not Impressive At All, Dont Recommend."
The management is unprofessional. I have given my car for scheduled services a few times here and it has been disappointing. I was informed once that the loaner given to me was a family members car and that I should be careful handling it! I asked for a rental and was told that it was not possible! Another time I had to wait for 2 hours for the valet service, to be dropped at work, and missed a meeting, despite asking for a loaner at the time of booking the appointment. The last time, I was promised that my car would be returned on a Friday after some detailing/ body work and I never heard from anyone why it was not ready on the following Tuesday, or contacted, to be informed that it would be late. I had to call and wait for a long time on the phone before I got hold of a person from services to be informed that it would be late, duh! Finally, on asking for a quote for selling my car, they tried to scam me by offering me 10K below KBB value, which rates my car as $500 above retail value for its excellent condition. Every time I have dealt with this dealer I have been disappointed.
