I went looking for a used Passat R-line and found one using Cars.com, it happened to be the only one within a 200 mile range of me which says a lot for their inventory. I contacted them using the email link provided by Cars.com since it was already after business hours and I got a follow-up call and email the very next morning. I went in and tested the vehicle, their staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and and overall great experience. I however ended up waiting a few months to buy because it was a much better deal for me if I were to put a down payment. Definitely going back.

"Great Experience With Vw Manhattan"
we had a great experience buying a certified pre owned VW through Open Road Volkswagen in Manhattan. we live outside of the city and when we came to look at the car, we were able to park our own car in their garage while we looked at the VW we ended up buying, so we didnt have to park in a garage. I had been in contact with their Internet sales person, Shameeza and she directed me to Jose Mendez for our test drive. Jose Mendez was very professional and friendly, answered all my questions and was in contact with me through the whole process. we looked at the car on a Monday and were able to pick it up the next Monday, with all paperwork (registration, plates, loan etc.) taken care of. Their administration fees and glass etching charge are a little high, but the car was beautifully detailed and came with brand new Hankook tires, which mitigated that somewhat. When we picked up the car, Jose made sure I knew all the warning lights, how to work all the normal things like headlights, wipers, AC and heat, how to adjust the seats, mirrors and steering wheel before I took it on the road and hooked up the cars Bluetooth system to my phone. All in all, we had a great experience there and I would recommend others to this dealership. Since we dont live in Manhattan, I probably wont be taking the car down there for service, but I hope that the VW dealership and service area in my town will be as good as VW Manhattan is.

Our experience at Open Road was amazing from the start, in large part due to our salesperson, Jose Mendez. He ws friendly, knowledgeable, and the least pushy salesperson I have ever met. He was patient as we made decisions about colors. He worked with us to offer us a great deal after showing us all the financing/leasing options. He got right down to business and didnt waste time. And when we told him we wanted to take the car the same day (we knew exactly what model we wanted without a test drive), he had everything ready for us by 5pm the same day--and stayed till after closing hours to walk us through a tutorial of the car. I have said this many times that I have been with Volkswagen since 2002, and our first car was the VW Bug, we had the Jetta and the last two cars the VW Tiguan. My experiences have been OK through the years. But on April 13, 2016 when we decided to receive a new lease and was connected with Jose Mendez it was an experience every person should go through. Knowing that I am a tough customer, Mr. Mendez put me at ease, he was courtesy, very pleasant and a total gentleman. Mr. Mendez gave excellent service, I wanted car on a certain date and he delivered, any concerns that I had he solved them. I would say that this has been the best experience I ever had with Volkswagen and if I may add any time we had problems with the car and brought in for service, the repair department was excellent. I truly thank Mr. Mendez for his patient and kindness and that is was a pleasure to do business with him and the Volkswagen organization.

I leased my first VW from Open Road VW Manhattan three years ago. The entire experience was excellent. The staff were always very helpful. In particular the service was excellent. The car was always taken in when I needed and was ready when promised. To be honest, I never had to have any major repair (a headlight failed once) during the entire time I owned the CC - the car was reliable and comfortable and great value. I have no hesitation recommending the company.

Considering what you usually encounter at dealerships, it was refreshing to find someone who actually cares about what you are buying. Ask for him to help you if you are looking for a Volkswagen.
