I didnt know what to expect going into a dealership for the first time, but I have to say that I had a great experience. I did a lot of research and I found that Union had the best deals and ratings. Arslan was my dealer and helped me every step of the way. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the entire process. He was very helpful with pushing for me to get my payments the way I wanted them . Even after the sale was made, I was still a priority and Arslan called in to check on the car and to help me send all of the proper paperwork to my insurance company. Talk about above and beyond. I feel very good about my experience and would definitely send my family over to Union for car purchases.

I have been shopping for the car I purchased for about a year. Have been to many dealerships in NY and NJ. I found the customer service at this dealership to be a step above. They really did their best to sell me a car without overselling. Even after the sale was solidified, several people gave me business cards and invited me to call if I have any questions or concerns with my purchase. I was not rushed, I took a few cars out for pretty lengthy test drives, and as a result I bought a car I couldnt be happier with.

What a great place to buy a car! We really appreciated the information that was given over the phone especially since we called another dealer and they were fast and very rude. Then, we made an appointment with Mike Ventola. Mike met with us and introduced a salesman that showed us our vehicles of interest (jetta diesel) . Outside of the rainy cold day it was such a pleasure dealing with the staff. Mike V was not involved in the sales process at all but we asked to speak to him before we left, being that Mike V was the reason we came all the way to Union. If anyone should be running the sales team it is this guy Mike. I have 2 local businesses and wouldnt mind having this gentleman spending some time with my staff. He just makes you feel comfortable and seems very knowledgeable about the VW industry amongst many other things!! Kudos to you Mike V.

The overall appearance of the dealership is very clean. The 2009 Cadillac DTS that I sought out was present and all the bells and whistles worked great! The details i desired like options and color were perfect. This dealership advertised a Mercedes-Benz GL 450 for well over a week and did not have it available to show. I drove nearly an hour to go see this, having set an appointment, and it was not ready to be shown. I would never come here again, even to purchase a Volkswagen, which would have been of interest to me in the future.

My sales guy was great and helpful. The finance guy was a joke. i would not have such a rude and arrogant individual talking direct to any customer of mines if i owned a dealership. (i just got out of bankruptcy so my credit options are limited) The finance guy comes and sits down with me after i finish up with my sales guy and says that on a normal day he would never be speaking to a person like me but today is my lucky day. (really on a normal day you wouldnt talk to a person like me?) He starts talking about a some promotion but that stuff didnt stick in my head. this is what i remembered from our convo-----> after some back and fourth he tells me that the $31,000 car that i was interested in was too expensive for me. So i told him if i put $10,000 down im sure a bank could approve the loan. he tells me that the bank is gonna say ima fraud if i have $10,000 because i just came out of bankruptcy. he then proceeds to say that even if i put $30,000 down on a $31,000 vehicle the banks still wouldnt touch it. the guy was talking loud and just being a jerk. maybe because i was in a Volkswagen dealership looking at a preowned Audi that was on sale but the owner was using for personal use. who knows. but thank you Volkswagen of Union, NJ. You definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and i will spread this story to every single person i know and post on every website that youre on.

Used car negotiation was smooth and no pressure; In fact it was a pleasure dealing with Doug, a true gentleman. Doug and I talked about several things in life, in addition to the cars history. Later we took it for a long test drive and went over the features while behind the wheel (me driving, him explaining the computer, dials, gauges, menus etc. Later, when I returned with my GF he let us take it for a spin together, no questions asked! (and that was quite a drive, let me tell you!) He gave me a good price for it and took care of the minor problems that you find on a used car (he fixed one problem himself, right on the spot). As usual when the inevitable last minute problems with down payment, financing, insurance, etc, occurred , Union rose to the challenge and got me thru them. In the end I drove off the lot with a beautiful car at a good price. Use this a guide, go to union volkswagon and talk to Doug Perman. and let him be the benchmark for what a gracious salesman is.

I went to Union VW to get my car serviced and get some new wheels installed. I ended up having to get new tires installed there and the employees were more than happy to get me going. I went to go to Costcos to make a purchase instead of shopping at Costcos I pulled into the Union VW lot driving a 2000 Mercedes Benz 500 S class. A black 2010 Jetta TDI Caught my attention when the sales person gave me the key for the test drive I closed the door at which time I fell in love with the car, after the test drive I traded the Benz and made the car mine. I drove it to Kentucky and on to Mississippi after returning back home realizing the savings in fuel, reliability, comfort, and enjoyment. I decided after having it for another two months I owed it to myself to get a 2013. The Jetta 2013 TDI is a dream come true everything I wanted is in this car the sales dept was excellent in getting me into the 2013 as well as the service dept for the service intervals that I have had done in the past 21 months. I had an issue with a few drops of water dripping on the front passenger side of the car, the service dept took my car for 3 days to check for a leak giving me a loaner for the duration and to my satisfaction there is no leak any more. Union VW service division is great which makes owning my VW a dream.

i am used to bmw,porsche, and mercedes level service,so when i leased a jetta as a city car i didnt have high expectations. but i was pleasantly surprised. i didnt need a loaner as it was a scheduled service and i waited in their nice lounge. everyone was very nice and professional. the car was taken in quickly and the service was performed on time and as promised. everything was explained clearly and the car was washed inside and out upon return. my wife and i enjoy driving the car and i appreciate the service experience.

Jetta: Diesel and manual transmission We were very pleased with Mr. Sammy Lucas who was very professional, personable, and answered all our questions. When our own mechanic found that the exhaust pressure control valve was stuck closed in the vehicle we were considering, Mr. Lucas made sure that it was fixed in a prompt and timely way. Mr. Lucas followed up with us both before and after our purchase and made sure that all the details of purchase and registration were completed for us. Since we only buy vehicles every 8-10 years, we have not had much recent experience purchasing a vehicle, but Mr. Lucas made it a very smooth process. He did not even register much surprise when these two ole gals came in and had three requirements: a Jetta diesel with manual transmission. Hey Im writing this review from customer lounge of Union VW.Last month I bought a Passat from here . They were very good until we buy the car , after waiting for one month they didnt gave information about my license plates. I called them and asked that when they will give new plates because my temporary plates are expiring in 4 days they told me that they will respond back .But they didnt call back . so next day also I called them and reminded the issue but still the same answer they will respond back.and on April 22nd at 8pm they called me back and said they need more paper works and asked me to come to union vw on 23rd. When I came here the person who asked me to come there was not present here & nobody else knows any information about my issue .The person from reception first asked me to come on next day but I said that the temporary plates are expiring today itself. So they asked me to wait in lobby for more than one hour. So I wont recommend them to anybody . Relationship with customers wont end after selling the car.
