Very, very pleased with my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited which I purchased 4months ago. This Jeep is Great and it has run flawlessly and with no issues or repairs. I dealt mostly with John who is a Professional in every way. He is very personable and easy to talk with. He pays attention to details and ensures that all the numbers are correct and helps in every way. When this Grand Cherokee was given a pre-purchase inspection, the Jeep dealer indicated the vehicle was in excellent condition. Even though the Jeep would still passed state inspection, there were a couple of items that could be updated. This is where Merrill comes in. He takes personal pride in all of his vehicles. He wants every one to be perfect when it leaves his dealership. A couple of examples are: The front brakes were pulsating and although the brakes would have passed inspection, Merrill insisted on installing new rotors and pads. There was also a rattle in the door which really didnt have to be fixed but Merrill wanted to fix this issue. And the rattle was gone. I would highly recommend Merrill Motors for you next car, SUV or truck purchase. And when I need another vehicle, my first stop will be at Merrill Motors.

There was a few things that had to be updated on the car, for example the timing belt, they were happy to fix it for me. When I came back to pick up my car after fixing the issue they even washed my car for me!! very friendly staff, and Im very happy with my new vehicle. I recently purchased a car from Merrill Motors and was very pleased with the buying experience. I have purchased many cars over the years and know what to look for and what to avoid. At first the car I was considering seemed to good to be true, great price, great condition and low miles. So being a suspicious car buyer I thoroughly investigated the car using the vin# and Carfax info to contact previous owners in order to document the cars history. Everything that I was told about the car by the dealer was correct, being satisfied I purchased the car. As I am an out of state buyer I had to register the car myself in Connecticut, this process was anything but easy due to the long lines on CT DMV offices. Anyway after a 3 hour wait the agent at DMV told me there was a problem in the chain of title. I was surprised because all of the documents provided by Merrill Motors appeared accurate. I contacted the dealer and within a few hours he straightened out the issue and I was able to register the car. Very pleased with the experience and will consider Merrill Motors for any future car purchases.

I recently bought a Mercedes from Merrill Motors. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the whole car buying experience. I had been looking for a pre-owned car for a while, walking in and out of other dealerships not being happy with how I was treated and the high prices. For some reason, this place is different from the rest. I was greeted by friendly people who treated me with respect and did not pressure me. I told the salesman what I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend. He helped me find exactly what I was looking for at the right price. He did suggest buying a 2 year extended warranty. At first, I hesitated because I did not want to go over my budget, but I decided to buy it after he went over the list of all the things covered in the plan. Best of all it only added $10 to my monthly payment. I thought for sure it would have been more expensive but it was not. While I was sitting in the showroom when I was buying the car, other employees walked up to me and introduced themselves and said they appreciated my business. WOW! I want to thank everyone for making it a stress free process! I will be back!

"Really Impressed With Merrill Motors"

I bought a car from Merrill Motors a few months ago. Great experience and a super business! About a week later, I changed the oil and discovered the oil pan threads were stripped. No doubt from previous years of over-torquing the bolt. I called Merrill and they responded immediately by telling me to get the car in as soon as possible. They put an oversized bolt on right away to ensure the car was safe, then they ordered a new oil pan and installed it! It took them a significant amount of time to do that but they kept telling us that they wanted the car to be right and wanted us to be happy with our purchase! That is called INTEGRITY! Would I recommend Merrill motors-absolutely. If you want a good car at an affordable price by a family that actually cares about the community, then go to Merrill Motors. I took home my 2010 Mercury Milan today. This car makes me want to drive! I stopped in, on a spur of the moment decision. Ive been looking since mid-summer to replace my Saturn. They listened to what I needed, and told me to give it a test drive. Once I got in, I was sold. The staff is great, the car is awesome, and I have already told co-workers about my great experience here! My family said the car is gorgeous. Honestly, I had shopped at least 4 "big", fancy car lots, and they all seemed uninterested in helping me with price or any other car than the one they wanted to sell. The sad thing about that fact, is I had bought 2 cars, and my ex-husband had bought a truck from one of them in the past! He still didnt want to help with price! His loss!

I had been shopping around for a new vehicle the past month or so, and encountering the usual narcissistic, overly aggressive car salesmen, and overpriced vehicles. I recently took a friends mazda for a crash course lol, and fell in love with the ride and how safe i felt all tucked into the bucket seats :)..... I was now on the hunt for one of my own!!! I came across a very sharp looking, red exterior - tan interior, 2010 mazda 3 @ Merrill Motors in Coventry RI. I was quite skeptical to be honest because this car was too good to be true for the price they were asking. Despite the hesitation, I HAD to see the car for myself even though it was an hour away from where i live. My family and I decided that the following morning (the big car shopping day), we would go look at the furthest car away first. We didnt need to look any further! The car was beautiful and the staff was beyond professional and personable. My needs were met and my expectations were exceeded from start to finish. Nathan put a smile on my face immediately with his personality, honesty and warmth. Merrill seems like such a humble gentleman and owner. John is just so upbeat, organized, and precise. I know that if something were to go wrong with the vehicle (unlikely), or if I needed anything at all they would be there to help. I bought a Ford Fusion from Merrill Motors last week and I have to say it was the best buying experience I have had. I mainly dealt with Merrill and John, they were both were very professional and down to earth, without a single bit of pressure to "put you in this car today" junk you get from so many other dealers. Their inventory is priced extremely fair and in great shape inside and out. I will definitely be recommending Merrill to family and friends in fact my girlfriend will be buying her Mazda 3 from them as soon as she is ready. Ive purchased 2 autos from Merrill. The first, a BMW 328i which was clean and ran great! the second is an Expedition. A two owner car that he had just brought in. I wanted to replace my Suberban which was traded for a fair price and the cost of the Exped. was great! Now I find I need a second car again and my first thought is "go back to Merrill". He is nice, fair, easy to work with and will always go the extra mile for his customers (me!)! I have recommended him to many of my clients and Im picky.

I bought a car from them, asking they change the oil and check all of the fluids, which one would think would be done as standard practice. After the runaround of the actual transaction I had a feeling I should probably check the oil, it was as if the oil had not been changed in years. My husband and I looked at a car here that just came in and it was not priced yet. We left our information because we were very interested and they never called. I called 3 days after the first visit and they sold the car. They are a small dealership so communication should be easy but I guess not. Customer service is not a priority unless you are right in front of them.

I called the dealership two weeks later after my e-mail and I spoke to a rude young gentlemen who said he was the owner. I and my family will no longer be looking at vehicles at Merrill Motors. Went there with my fiancé to check out a few cars. After putting some money down to have them hold it for us, everything suddenly became a hassle. They submitted our information WRONG to the bank. I had to call and straighten everything out 3 TIMES!!! Me and my fiancé decided they were not worth the headache.
