"Very Poor Service/lack Of Knowledge"
I brought my vehicle to Worthington Ford of Long Beach, CA. for its first scheduled since this is where I purchased the vehicle and prefer to have my service done by Ford factory trained technicians. I dropped my vehicle off late in the afternoon with plans to pick it up the following day. When I dropped the vehicle off requesting my first oil change and service, I was told along with oil change I would receive tire rotation, fluid checks and recommended inspections, I was also informed that my first service was free since I bought the vehicle there (not expecting that but it was a nice surprise) . I was called the following day and informed my vehicle was ready for pick-up. When I arrived at the dealership I spoke with Fleet Service manager Mike Gonzalez and he sent someone to retrieve my vehicle. When my vehicle arrived for me I noticed the tires had not been rotated, obvious to me since the vehicle was dirty and I could see no evidence off off hand prints on them. When I got in and started the vehicle I checked the IOLM indication and noticed it had not been reset, I then checked the tire pressure monitor indication and also noticed the tires still needed air, tires were indicating 30-32 psi, same as when I dropped it off. I went back in and spoke to Mike to verify service had been completed and he ensured me it had, we went to the vehicle and check the oil, which looked new and also the oil filter. I asked why the oil life monitor was not reset and he told me that it didnt really matter if it gets reset but that he would do it. He then explained the oil monitor goes off once every 12 months and it doesnt matter that I should be change oil every 5,000 miles. i explained the oil life monitor was installed by the factory and I am following it for my service intervals. He told me that is not what I should be doing and that I should follow his advice. I explained to him I dont want has opinion that I want Fords recommendations. He told me that was Fords recommendation. I asked if he had documentation to support his claims and he went to the computer and printed it out. After he reviewed he apologized for misinforming me, giving me a document showing: Maintenance Intervals At every oil change interval indicated by the information display* Change engine oil and filter.** Rotate the tires. Perform a multi-point inspection (recommended). Inspect the automatic transmission fluid level. Consult your dealer for requirements. Inspect the brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, brake linings, hoses and parking brake. Inspect the engine cooling system strength and hoses. Inspect the exhaust system and heat shields. Inspect the rear axle and U-joints. Lubricate any areas with grease fittings on all-wheel drive vehicles. Inspect the half-shaft boots. Inspect the steering linkage, ball joints, suspension, tire-rod ends, driveshaft and U-joints. Lubricate any areas with grease fittings on all-wheel drive vehicles. Inspect the tires, tire wear and measure the tread depth. Inspect the wheels and related components for abnormal noise, wear, looseness or drag. * Do not exceed one year or 10,000 miles (16,000 kilometers) between service intervals. ** Reset the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor after engine oil and filter changes. Failure to reset the IOLM after oil changes will result in a premature reminder message. I asked him what was done to my vehicle and he stated oil/filter change. I asked why none of the other inspections/service performed and he had no answer. I will never take my vehicle to this dealership again, especially if Mike Gonzalez is still an employee.

I bought a 2013 Ford Escape at the end of August 2016 and in December 2016 when I went in for a oil change I find out it has a transmission leak plus need a cabin and engine air filter that needed immediate attention ... you would think if I bought my vehicle from a dealership I wouldnt be having these problems already... Rack up a cost of $346.00 only because I had bought the extended warranty.... Thanks Cal Worthington Ford for costing me and extra car note payment.....
