Only one small issue, three of the options listed were not on the car...Ok, it happens, but I was not going let stop me to from purchasing these very hard to find cars.. In the summer of 2007, we drove to Newport Coast Auto in Costa Mesa from Temecula to buy my sister in law an S Class Mercedes. While we were there, my wife fell in love with a little chili pepper white (2005) Mini Cooper that they had on the lot. Although my wife already had a brand new Mercedes CLS550 and a Kia Optima for her every day commute at that time, we decided to buy the Mini Cooper so we can give the Kia to our son. Fast forward a few years later, we needed a small pick up truck for our restaurant business, so I called Paul, got a ride to Costa Mesa and picked up an spotless S-10 Chevy truck with low miles. Now fast forward to April of 2016, my wife was a proud owner again to a beautiful BMW X5 to replace her Mercedes (she still has her 2005 Mini Cooper) both from Newport Coast and as I write this review(November 2016), I had just picked up a beautiful Jaguar XJ8 for myself to replace my high mileage Lincoln Town Car. Five vehicles and 10 years later, none of the vehicles we bought from Newport Coast ever had any problems other than the normal wear and tear. I was told about Newport coast auto from a friend who referred them to me. She told me what a great experience she had there so I decided to try it out for myself. She made it sound easy, fast and no hassle. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly gentleman named Paul. Paul as it turned out was the owner. He was very easy to talk to and not pushy at all. So I was in the market for a new Mercedes CLS or BMW M6. I found a custom Benz from Newport Coast Auto Sales, and it looked AMAZING. Love at first sight. What I really liked is the wealth of details listed on their website. The description listed the CarFax, 74 pictures, and every single option available on the car. If it wasnt listed, it didnt exist. My only problem is, Im from Texas. I never bought a car from another state, but I had to have this one. I immediately emailed Newport Coast Auto and Tim responded within a hour. I grilled Tim on everything possible: Cost, History, Condition, Shipping, Warranty, Features, etc. Over 100 emails were exchanged and he ALWAYS and I do mean ALWAYS responded on time and with honest answers. I know I was very picky and probably annoying, but he was patient and kind. Not only did he match the price, but he got me an INCREDIBLE financing option. He overnighted the papers - I signed and the car was shipped a couple of days later. Even when the car was shipped I hassled him everyday on where my car was (although he told me 3 days). Day four came and BOOM, my car is here in Austin. I am a stickler for detail and this car was in damn near perfect condition; even being three years old. A week after getting the car, Tim and Christy personally sent me the spare keys, owners manual, and copies of paperwork. Even living in Texas, from now on I will never buy a car from anyone else but Tim. I never had a better experience with anyone else. He has my trust and loyalty.

Being in the military your always a little iffy about where you look at cars. With that being said I came across Newport coast auto on the internet and decided to check them out. Initially I was grazing through card with my wife and came across one I liked. Tim came out and introduced himself and was very easy going and professional he let me test drive any car I wanted and had free rain to look at what I liked. He offered me a deal that no one could beat on my car I had on a trade in and I took the week to think about it. I called him back late Friday night and told him I wanted to make the deal. He came back to the shop at 9:30 pm just so I could purchase the car due to me leaving town the next day. The buying process and trade in paper work was very smooth. Along with everything else, everyone here is a straight shooter and very helpful. I began looking for an used Lexus IS 250 a few months ago for my wife. I am the type of person who will look at and test drive anywhere between 20 - 30 vehicles before buying. This helps me to get a sense of what market value is and identify good value for the price. When I first went into Newport Coast Auto, Tim immediately showed me the Lexus I saw advertised and let me take it for a test drive. It was in good, clean condition and drove well. However, I felt it was overpriced and gave Tim my reasons based on my research to date. He agreed that it was probably a bit overpriced and would be willing to drop the price somewhat. I said that I had a couple more vehicles to look at, so wasnt going to make any decision yet. I checked out these vehicles and although newer, were not as clean. Tim followed up a couple of days later, asking if I was still interested at a certain price. I said I was interested, but would like to have a mechanical inspection done first, as I do prior to buying any used vehicles. The mechanical inspection revealed a couple of minor things that needed to be dealt with and Tim said he would take care of them prior to any purchase. In the meantime I received a lead on a similar vehicle. I viewed it and also had an inspection done on it. The inspection came back almost the same, however, the price was lower. I contacted Tim and let him know that I would give him the opportunity to give me a more competitive price. I preferred to deal with him vs. the other dealership, which had poor customer reviews. Tim met me on the price and I purchased the vehicle. Tim had the car ready the day I said I would come in to pay for it. One of the items needing to be fixed was done and the part was ordered for the other item. All the paperwork was ready and he went through it carefully and relatively quickly. Tim followed up and let me know when the part had come in. The repair was taken care of as soon as I was able to bring the car in. My wife loves the car and so far we have both been happy with the purchase. Is the car perfect? No, but I didnt expect an used 5 year old car to be perfect, just clean and well-maintained. Tim earned my business for the following reasons: - he showed he was genuinely interested in seling me the right car, but was not pushy or aggressive - he listened to what I said and the research i had done and he adjusted his price based on facts - he followed up, again showing that he wanted the sale - he responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had - he was professional in closing the deal and doing what he said he would do When I start looking for another vehicle for myself in a few years, I plan to visit Newport Coast Auto again. Hopefully I will find the type of vehicle I am looking for at the right price, and I receive at least the same level of customer service.

I dont normally write reviews unless I am compelled by a genuinely good (or bad) experience and its important for the world to know that the team (Paul, Justin, and Christy) at NCA is top notch. If I had to describe Paul in three words, it would be: honest, transparent, and courteous. So, the context for my review is both for a purchase and sale. I purchased a car from Paul in 2009 and just recently sold another car through Paul. I was a little bit wary about my purchase because it was my first time buying a really high end car. But my experience with the car was fantastic. No problems, no issues, looked amazing, and the price was very reasonable (hey look, its a business...everyones gotta win). While I wont give away my negotiating secrets I can say that Paul was very open and transparent about the purchasing process. Hes not there to rip you off. He wants you to have a good experience with a fair sale because he knows that building a long term relationship is the key to his longevity. The sale was also very easy with Paul. I live in LA so all of the paperwork was handled via mail. He gave detailed instructions on what to sign/keep, handled all of the paperwork. It was a breeze. He was prompt with all of the communication, transparent with how the sale would break down cost wise, and just upfront about the entire process. And he got me a VERY good price for my car (better than what I could have done on my own). I am immensely grateful for that. Paul has an excellent platform for buying and selling vehicles so I will likely go to him for all of my future sales. Also, if you are in the market for high end cars that are in really good shape, hes definitely worth a look. I check his website out all the time (even when Im not in the market for a car) and I refer him to all of my friends. I think that 90% of the anxiety that people face during the car buying/selling process is attributed to a lack of trust between the buyer and seller. And that lack of trust is based on a mentality that the less you communicate between the parties, the better of an edge you can get in the deal making process. Paul is absolutely none of these things. He cares about his customers and invests the time and energy in making sure they are HAPPY. He took the time to explain that his entire inventory is compiled up from high-end dealer trade-ins or lease returns. In addition, he also took the time too explain and go over the inspection and service process he does on every vehicle (whether its a Bentley or a Honda) before it enters his showroom for retail. Soon after I test drove and decided on my prestige BMW, Paul went out of his way to ask a favor from his many lenders and beat the interest rate i currently had from my credit union. "Bought 2002 Porsche Carrera"

I bought a 2002 Porsche Carrera from Newport Coast Auto a few weeks ago. I was picky about buying an older Porsche and its obvious the guys at Newport are picky with their inventory too. Paul (the owner and a very funny guy) and Justin didnt pressure me into making the purchase and didnt show the least bit of resentment when I didnt buy immediately my first test drive - classy. Ive waited a few weeks before writing this review to make sure my Porsche was problem free and so far so good. I went back a few days ago to say hello and they showed me their new Ferrari. haha.

Had a great buying experience. Newport Coast Auto had the exact car I was looking for at the right price. Paul & Justin described the car perfectly and when I arrived it was exactly as advertised. The transaction process was straight forward with finance going through a local credit union at a great rate. It took me less than an hour to complete the transaction and drive out with my new car. I would buy from Newport Coast Auto again and would recommend them to my friends.
