I’d like to share my experience with the car dealership DCN Hyundai (Monmouth Junction, NJ), officially certified by Hyundai USA. I bought there used Hyundai Santa Fe on 08 Sept 2017. In the dealership, there was a selling event with discounts on both new and used cars. I met Ron Fussman, who was extremely polite, courteous and nice. Ron showed me their inventory on a computer; we picked several cars fitting my budget according to Ron’s recommendation and Ron brought their keys. I inspected the chosen cars inside and outside, Ron explained everything and readily answered all my questions. All the cars were very clean inside and outside. We selected two cars for a test drive and went back to the dealership for a small paperwork. Meanwhile I asked Ron about their dealer fees and he immediately showed me their official form with all fees already printed on it. Therefore, in contrast to many other dealerships I checked before, everything looked transparent and clear. We went to the test drive with Ron; both cars were good on road. We went back to the dealership and closed the deal on the best of the two. Everything was fast and smooth; Ron was very helpful, explained the car history, answered all questions and assisted at every step. I paid and got my car, feeling happy and very satisfied with Ron service and the dealership itself. Ron gave me his mobile and email in case I would have questions. After couple of days I found in my car some small lacks (mist in lamp, 2 power sockets did not work), I emailed and then called Ron, and he told me to come when I available. Ron organized fast repair of these small lacks, and I was very impressed of the dealership service workshop – everything was clean, computerized, fast and friendly. Just after 15 min of waiting in the well-equipped and relaxing client’s area, I got my keys back and all repairs were done for free, as was promised. I was very happy, what an excellent service! Thanks to Ron and his colleagues from DCN Hyundai, I have now a used car which looks and drives like new!

This has been the worst experience in buying a car in the 66 years I have been driving. I canceled my Gap Policy and Service Contract because I paid the vehicle off in full. I bought a car from DCN Hyundai on June 10, 2017. As part of the deal, they were going to pay off the remainder of the loan for my previous car. As of July 26, the payoff has not been posted to my previous loan. I have called, but received no calls back. I went down to the dealership but the person I needed to speak to wasnt in. Asked to speak to my salesperson, but he never came out to speak with me. Left a message with the receptionist for him to call me, and received no call back. It isnt like I am asking for anything extraordinary, I just want them to live up to the commitment they made when I bought the car.

Buyer beware. I purchased a used car from DCN over three weeks. The sales process was reasonable. The after sales process was awful. We paid a fee to have them do the licensing / titles of the car. The buck stops there. I have called the dealer dozens of times, and get passed around like a ping pong ball. Finally, the day the temporary licenses expired I got on the phone with a manager who promised me a call back by one o clock the next day. At three pm , after calling two times and being told he was is a meeting, he came of the phone and told me he would call me when he knows. Meanwhile, I cant legally drive my car as the temps have expired. He then proceeded to hang up the phone with me. When I called back I was told that I ****** with the wrong, person, disrespected him , and I will get the plates whenever. Great customer service DCN. Great way to value customers.

I almost literally ran into my salesman Steve Cirillo when I pulled into the dealership. He guided me to parking and then took care of me and the purchase of my new car. After contacting the dealership regarding a car thats been on the lot 155 days, high mileage, with an accident on the report they were not in the business to sell. I contacted the dealership received an email called back spoke to a sales rep, then after her attitude I requested to speak with the Sales Manager. Spoke with the Sales Manager and was promised a call back I had to call back and when I finally spoke with him to find out what happened with the vehicle I was given a lame excuse. A day goes by, I called back to speak to a General Manager, had to call back numerous times however, was called back by a receptionist to ensure my information would be forwarded. Fast forward to Wednesday evening, I receive a call from a customer relations specialist promising to look into the matter to contact me back that evening. While speaking to the rep she informed me no notes were made on my account regarding any contact and she would get to the bottom of the situation, no call back from the rep. Call back Friday to hear the same excuse, I ve been trying to reach you, as explained I work in a SCIF and cannot take my phone, which is why my work phone and email were provided. I explained to EVERYONE I spoke with why I wanted the vehicle on their lot of 155 days and that there was another in a different color, less mileage, and no accident for $3k less, the response was "well if that deal should fall through come back, hopefully the car will still be on the lot." Where is the car going?!?!?!?!?!?!? Its been there 155 days and counting. The car down the street was purchased soon as I got off the phone will be picking it up tonight, too bad I made the other dealer wait while trying to make a deal here. Could have had the car Tuesday versus wasting my time for a week here.

Frankly, I left disappointed not just from this appointment, but I am beginning to have doubts as to my purchase of a certified pre-owned Hyundai and becoming a first time customer less than six months ago. This was by far my nicest, most expensive vehicle purchase to date, and given that I have had so many problems in the past, I was excited to purchase a vehicle that I hopefully would not have any issues with, and purchased a 100K mile bumper to bumper warranty and tire and wheel coverage at time of sale to help ensure quick resolution of future headaches. Also, as a nurse in the emergency department, I felt comforted by acquiring a four wheel drive vehicle for inclement weather when I still had to go to work. Although there was a tire that was a little low when I test drove the vehicle, it looked as if it had been sitting on the lot a while and I was assured everything would be taken care of before I took possession of the vehicle. However, every few weeks since then I had to put air in this particular tire. Also, I have had difficulty starting the vehicle on a few cooler mornings and even had to have my Tucson jump started once before going to work in the emergency room. It was determined at the dealership that the battery needed to be replaced and the tire needed to be patched due to a nail, and I would be responsible for paying for both of these items. I had made an appointment and returned to DCN Hyundai under the impression these items would not be at cost to me, as the tire seemingly had a pre-existing issue and I had purchased coverage anyway, and that a certified pre-owned vehicle should not have been sold with a half-dead battery. However, I was informed that the coverage only covered "hitting a pothole or something" and it would be $20 to patch the tire and $200 for a battery. I reluctantly agreed to pay for the tire repair and declined a battery, later obtaining one from Advance Auto Parts at nearly half the cost. Although $220 is a modest sum, I felt that by asking me to pay it, this dealership was not standing by its certified pre-owned vehicle. It was my belief that a certification process and my purchase of additional coverage would ensure I was not purchasing a vehicle with issues such as a busted tire and a half dead battery, and that if issues arose they would swiftly be dealt with. Indeed, if these small issues were not addressed before I was sold the vehicle, how can I be sure the major systems were thoroughly checked? What kinds of problems will I encounter in the future? The peace of mind I ventured to acquire with this vehicle purchase less than six months ago has quickly been eroded with simply one service visit.

We got our car back in the middle of December. We visited 3 dealers before DCN and 2 of the experiences where do bad I didnt give the 3rd dealer a fair open minded chance.
