Great sales staff but once you get ready to buy WATCH OUT! They will tell you your trade is worth nothing and then they start the crap with the high financing rates. Go elsewhere!!
"Dont Count On Service"
Buying process was fine, received a decent price. When the vehicle required service, under warranty, had to jump through hoops, didnt receive calls back and had to show up in person just to get an answer. Once repairs were done, service tech neglected to install all shield components (he forgot) and it ended up ruining another shield. Service department gave me the run around for a month saying they would take care of it... in the end, didnt. The experience with this dealer was terrible. Good luck if you buy from them, youll need it.

Our experience at Exeter Subaru was fabulous. After exhaustive internet research and visiting various dealerships we chose Exeter. They had in stock just the vehicle we were looking for. My fiance and I just purchased a new Outback from Exeter Subaru. We had Todd Frampton and a Sales person and couldnt be happier!! Todd was very "non-salesy" and took a very laid back and helpful approach. Brandi was our Finance person and she was great! Jimmy and Dan, also in Finance, were wonderful as well! It took a couple days to get the financing squared away, the car inspected, cleaned and picked up. When we arrived, they put a big bow on the front and we all took pictures (Todd included!!) to celebrate! We have already told our family about this amazing experience and HIGHLY recommend anyone looking to get into a new car to go through Todd at Exeter Subaru. Our Outback is one of the nicest cars I have ever driven. We bought this car for my fiance (I have a Honda Accord) and ever since we brought it home, I take every opportunity that I can get to drive it!! The car itself drives like a dream, is super comfortable and roomy and has a TON of space. Just purchased a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek. I spent months (literally) searching for the right combination of inventory, deals and support and found that Exeter Subaru offered the most competitive deals out of ALL Subaru dealerships from Boston to Augusta, Maine. They also responded to my inquiries in the least amount of time. Todd Frampton was a breath of fresh air. Until working with Todd I felt the smiles and amiability of the sales people I worked with to be a façade, and that their priority was making as much off my sale as possible. With Todd this was not so. What a genuinely great guy. Honest and helpful, he is undoubtedly the ideal "product specialist". For some reason he also reminds me of Daniel Faraday from LOST which is pretty cool. To wrap up my review... Exeter Subaru has the most competitive quotes East of Boston and ask for Todd.

This place is worse "than your typical". Absolutely awful experience all around. The sales people (and they are just that) are unprofessional, rude, and only want your money and then some. I stopped in one day just browse and they begged me to come back in for 2 weeks. Once I finally did, they were in attentive an unappreciative. It took me going to another competitor for them to actually give me their real price. Once I agreed to that price I went in the next day to sign and NOTHING was ready. After hours of waiting for them they wanted me to sign a docs with an extra 500$ towards the down payment tacked on. Of course they would not rectify the issue and we ended up parting ways. If you fee like wasting you time, this is the dealership for you. If you are serious about buying a car, STAY AWAY from this place!!

This is the first car I have ever bought, and the team at Exeter Subaru could not have made it easier. I visited other dealerships and was given a "hard sell" routine by many different salespeople. From the minute my wife and I walked into Exeter Subaru we knew this would be a different(I mean in a good way) auto buying experience. Our salesman, John Webster, was patient and informative with us. Since we werent certain which model we wanted John took us for a test drive on all three models! John took his time with us, and my wife and I never felt pressured. While waiting over 2 months for our 2 Outbacks to arrive John would e mail us regarding production and arrival times, constantly keeping us in the loop. Upon arrival. we sat down with Greg Perotti, the finance manager. and just like John Webster he was most informative about the leasing process. Josh, the manager, was also very helpful and professional. These are the reasons that I gave Exeter Subaru the 5 star ratings it so deserves.

John Webster and the rest of the staff were great to work with and didnt apply uncomfortable pressure. In fact, on one occasion I had the pleasure of spending over an hour wandering around the dealership lot, examining different models, totally on my own, and sales folks were okay with that, whereas in some dealerships I would be hounded so much, being followed around and asked so many questions that I would be mostly thinking about how to get away from there rather than about what I wanted to buy. I wanted some special features on my Outback and found that it was easy to order them and that the total cost of my chosen vehicle was made perfectly clear to me right at the beginning of the buying process, so that there were no surprises. I appreciate the continual communications between John and other dealership members with me while i was deciding, and also the follow up communications after the sale.

I originally found the car I wanted online through the Exeter Subaru Dealerships website. I called in and spoke with Sadie who was kind enough to let me know if the car was still available. She called me the next day to remind me to come in and take a peek at the car. When I went in, I felt right at home when Eric approached me and took me on a test drive immediately. I appreciated the friendliness and honesty of Eric. Even though I was purchasing an older car he still got out and told me his personal opinions on the car; its hard to find honesty at dealerships but Im glad I found it here. I did purchase the car and was able to be squeezed in first thing in the morning the following day to sign the title. Much appreciation to the two employees who helped me. When I need another car I will gladly be giving you guys a call. I would recommend this dealership.
"New 2014 Outback"
My wife drives between 25k and 30k a year and had almost 130k on her 2010 Outback. I noticed Exeter Subaru had end of year discounts on new 2014 models and we liked her 2010 Outback so much we purchased the 2014. Not a lot of difference between the 2010 but the 2014 now has a timing chain not a timing belt. This was a big deal to me as I do all my own maintenance. The 2010 had needed front & rear brakes which was a fairly easy job and the timing belt @ 100k. The belt is not a hard job but fairly in depth and just the cost of parts can be expensive if you replace all pulleys,tensioner/belt, water pump, etc. as I did. Other than the brakes and belt my 2010 needed nothing and ran like a top and is awesome in the snow. I always felt that my wife would be OK travelling in any weather and with the 2014 I expect she will be fine and my maintenance repairs will be slim to none !! This is the second time we bought from John Webster who has been great to work with. Thanks John and happy holidays.

I visited this dealer to test drive a minivan on their wholesale lot after seeing it advertised online. I was nervous about talking with the salesman because I thought hed try to sell me something I didnt want or that was more than I wanted to spend. Happily this was not the case. Eric Pokorski was friendly, explained what a wholesale sale was and let me test drive the van on a very busy Saturday morning. He was honest about the likihood of my getting more from the private sale of my car than from trading it for the van. I appreciated that. We had to go back on Monday to finalize the transaction which was a bit of a nuisance, but we would have had to go back anyway after getting temporary plates from the DMV (wholesale vehicles do not come with 20 day plates or an inspection sticker). So overall not too much of an inconvenience. We paid significantly less than the advertised price, and we received a CarFax report.

I was in need of an inexpensive winter car. I thought a higher mileage Volvo wagon would be perfect. Exeter Subaru had a trade in that was $1,000 less than all the others that I looked at. Even though it was in the "as is" line, the car was spotless, inside and out. It was the worst weather in weeks, yet John Webster didnt mind going out to the farthest corner of the lot with me and going on a road test. "My 8th Subaru"
I have been purchasing new cars from Exeter Subaru since when it was actually located in Exeter, NH. I am now on my 8th Subaru. My first was back in 1980. While purchasing this last car a 2015 Subuaru Forester I dealt with John Webster. I had met John when I ws in for service on my 2008 Tribeca. John gets it. When you say you are thinking of making a purchase he doent "bug" you constantly. He says he will be available when you have made your decision. When you make the decision he is there to make is easy. He finds the car your wantt and there is no "back and forth" about the price of the vehicle. I have recomended John to several of my friends and relatives. It is nice to buy a car without all the drama and feeling like you have been taken for a ride! (pun intended)

We had to order our 2015 Outback because we wanted the eye sight package. It came in earlier than we expected, the lease papers were ready when we came in and we drove away in less than an hour. Also the particulars of the car were explained very well by Richard Janvrin. Please consider talking with Richard when you decide to buy your next car. With Subaru, you cant go wrong.

When I first came to Exeter Subaru, quite a few months ago, I wasnt sure what I wanted. I told the gentleman that I worked with that I was not set on making a decision to buy a car at the moment and he was very understanding. Thanks to Eric St. Pierre and his fellow workers Brianna and Gregg, I was able to buy my first ever Subaru WRX! I called this place looking for a car that I wanted, and once I heard from Brianna that they will have the car I wanted in a couple weeks, I paid my deposit. Once it arrived I received a call from Brianna, and I drove 4 hours! to see this car. Well, I was pretty much determined to buy it when I hit the road. Then it went quick and easy. I test drove the car with Eric. He taught me how to drive this beast which has 6 speed manual transmission. Then I was able to bring it home very soon after. "Great Test Drive And Pricing"
I had a very positive experience at Exeter Subaru. I highly recommend John Webster as a very knowledgeable salesman. He gave me a very thorough test drive and excellent information about the features on the Subaru Forester remodel in 2014. I had driven many vehicles at many different dealerships before I test drove the 2014 Forester with John, and his test drive was the best Ive ever had. This test drive convinced me to buy either a 2014 or 2015 Forester instead of the earlier models I had been considering. However, they no longer had the red or blue 2014 Forester in stock, and I was not willing to accept the dark gray with higher mileage, even though the price was great. As for pricing, I searched cars.com daily for several weeks, with incoming alerts on both 2014 and 2015 Subaru Foresters. My range included a radius within 500 miles of Burlington, VT. Exeter Subaru Foresters always came in at the top in the lowest price filter. An online chat with Brianna after my test drive, indicated that they were also very willing to work with me on the price of a vehicle if they had one in stock that met my specifications, including adjusting the price on a new one to try to come close to my budget. Unfortunately, Exeter did not have a Forester with the features I needed, in a color I wanted, and I found one at a different dealership. I know I paid more for the one I finally bought, but we had already sold my old car, so did not have time to wait for Exeter to get the “right†vehicle for me.

Ease of accessibility in/out of vehicle was top priority, due to my mobility challenges. Dan and Nick worked to find the model that was best for me! Anyone with problem knees should seriously consider the Forester. It met my needs better than any of the competitors models, by far. Its only been a few days since we accepted our new car, but already both of us love the car! Wed been contemplating purchasing a certified used Subaru, but after listening to all the financial possibilities including leasing, we decided to lease a 2015 new model! Pricing was very competitive and trade-in fair and reasonable. Its great to know we dont have to worry about "car issues" over the next three years. Leasing was the perfect choice for us. He was very patient and answered all of our questions and if there was something he was not sure of he made sure to get the answer for us. That is what you call a dedicated car salesman! I came in with husband and 3.5 year old son, looking to buy a new 2015 Subaru Outback. Eric St. Pierre was respectful, helpful and accommodating with my son.
