Ive bought 2 Subaru Outbacks from Don Candelori at Haldeman Subaru and both times have been an excellent experience. Also one more Outback there before I met Don from a sales person who moved and referred me to Don for subsequent purchases and a Ford Taurus Wagon from the East Windsor location. I have always felt well treated by Haldeman. So 4 cars from Haldeman over the years. Don listened to my wants and found me just what I wanted. In fact the latest car took only about 20 minutes to find. Thats it. The Haldeman dealership is well run and in my experience are straight shooters. They have done right by me and thats why I go back. Good service department and personnel.

Car shopping is not my favorite thing to do! Al, the salesman from Haldeman Subaru made it a pleasant experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and not "pushy" while we were making our decision. I would recommend Al for anyone who is in the market for a new car.
"Not Female Friendly"
My mother and I came into Subaru hoping to purchase two vehicles. Instead we were verbally harassed by Al the salesman. He made my mother feel stupid when she didnt realize the key needed to be in the car in order to adjust the seat. I would think when a customer states that they are there to "feel" the driving experience, adjusting the seat would be the first thing a salesman would consider. When I corrected Al on the miles listed on a used Subaru, he stated "Were done." and stared at me. Al also raised his voice to me several times, and would not allow me to test drive a used Subaru Outback. He stated that it drives the same as a new one. I do not know who is responsible for the salesman approach to customers, but treating us so unprofessionally is unacceptable. Again, we are former Subaru owners, and were interested in purchasing two Subarus. TWO! I personally am a huge fan of Subaru, and cannot believe our experience. The ONLY saving grace was Chad Wiener who then assisted us when Al stormed off. Chad was knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating to our needs. IF, we return to THIS dealership, we will be making our purchases through Chad. Otherwise, I am sad to state that Hyundai granted us a much more pleasurable experience and our $60K may be spent there instead.

My daughters and I had a very good experience yesterday. Nick was very helpful, setting our appt., walking the lot with us and arranging a test drive. It was extremely hot outside and he provided us with cold bottled water. Mike Manna was our salesman. He was happy to show us different models and take us on our test drive. He made my daughters very comfortable, provided them with coloring books and crayons. When they were getting hungry he even arranged for us go get something eat while all if the paperwork was getting done. This was one of our most positive experiences at a car dealership and I would definitely recommend Haldeman to anyone looking for a new car.

I had my kids with me, so there was a movie playing comfortable chairs, snacks. Even the newspaper. The appointment was done in half the time that they estimated as well.

The fellow I dealt with (Paul Goodson, at the location on Route 33 in Hamilton, NJ 08619) was very helpful. Ive been taking my Outback there for several years and Paul has always been very helpful: making recommendations, working with me on prices, never pressuring me when Ive shopped around for lower priced tires, etc. HEs always helpful, polite, professional, and doesnt try to use hard sell tactics on me (which is always a turn off for me). I think he might be a good fit for training staff on customer service.
