The point in which my experience came down to four stars was when I went through the Finance Department upon buying my car. They repeatedly tried to pressure me into additional warranty & coverage that I was very clear I wasnt interested in. It kind of put a damper on an otherwise excellent experience.

Just bought a new Lexus hybrid from Benjamin Park (at South Bay Lexus in Torrance CA ) after looking since January for a car that most Lexus dealers do not stock: Red with leather seats! Ben looked for the car throughout S. Calif. After numerous tries, we just could not find the right option packages. Surprisingly, most of the ESs in inventory were low end (who wants fake leather seats in a luxury car?). Color-wise, we could get anything I wanted as long it was white, silver, or grey! Ben showed great professionalism and patience with my requirements. After almost losing hope, I opted for the hybrid version where we were able to find a car with everything I wanted. I already have a Prius so I knew the car would not be a rocket, but it has more oomph than expected. In addition to Bens great help in getting the right car for me, his associate, Chang Chung, was very helpful in explaining the many features that came with the car. I tend to keep cars for a long time so all the safety stuff and electronic gizmos are new to me. To have it demonstrated will help ease the transition. Kudos to both Ben and Chang for making a potentially painful experience into a positive one!

Chang Chung of South Bay Lexus provided me with essentially a hassle-free experience in negotiating the price for exactly the model/trim that I was interested in buying. Even though I was still about a week or so away from actually making the purchase, I provided Chang with an "out-the-door" price with my trade-in allowance that I wanted to pay for the car. In about 5-10 minutes, Chang got approval to just about meet my proposed price. I was committed but impressed with the quick response and, from that point, I became a new and satisfied customer of South Bay Lexus. Bought our 1st Lexus from Southbay Lexus, then thereafter have leased Lexus cars ever since, at least 5 leased cars. Lexus cars are great cars! Mr Benjamin Park is the person who had made our visits very pleasant. This year we leased a car already couple of months ago and wanted an extra car, and Mr Park made the extra lease car possible for a great deal; he tried every possibility to make the best deal for us. I bought a car from Sam yesterday. It was the best car buying experience Ive ever had. And Ive had three. Technically, thats not a lot of experience, but Ive had lots of bad experiences in my life. Just not car buying ones. For example, once I went on a date that I thought went well. But at the end, some dude came up to the girl I was with and handed her a note that said, "looks like your date sucked. if you want to man-up, email me". She emailed him. That was a bad experience.
