"Straight Shooters -"

I called about a specific car, but it had been sold. I described the kinds of cars I was interested in. David came up with a number of ideas before hitting on the car we ultimately bought. While clearly interested in making a sale, there was no pressure and they were accommodating to our needs. There was a small body part out of alignment - they missed this and couldnt repair it on site because they didnt have the clips needed. It was very minor, and not a deal breaker, but thats why they got 4 out of 5 on repairs. Facilities - lacked privacy no office you could close the door. This didnt matter to us as our deal was very straightforward, but there was another gentleman trying to get some information for a loan or something and I walked outside so he could have some privacy. Again, not serious,

"Nice Guy, Crowded Car Lot"

I called Olaf to ck. avail. of Mini Cooper. It was still avail so I drove 45 min. At this time, I was only wanting to test drive a Mini to see if I liked it. I wont be ready to purchase for about a month, but Olaf gave me options for financing where II could walk out the door with the car I declined, but there was no pressure. I definitely will return if the car is avail when Im ready.

"No Pressure Sales Tactic And Honest"

Active Auto Sales is the BEST place to buy a used car. After several test drives and discussions with Olaf (the owner) we purchased the 2008 Volkswagen Jetta, Wolfsburg. We had our mechanic do a thorough check on the car and he said we got a great deal for the price we paid. Olaf was very honest with us and so comfortable to work with. We test drove several cars and each time when we returned to the lot, Olaf came out of the sales office to see if we had any questions, but did not put any pressure on us...at all! I would say Olaf was straight-up with us about each car we were interest in. I can tell you that Ive never bought a car and afterwards said, too bad we dont need another one right now. I never felt like he was trying to pull a fast one on us just so he can make a sale. Olaf is a genuine person who just enjoys cars and it shows in his vast knowledge of them. I will recommend his business to anyone who asks me where we bought our car. We are 45 minutes away, but this is the first place well come to buy our next car! Thanks, Olaf!

This dealer was prompt & professional in responding but the car was already sold. Based on previous reviews, I will not hesitate to contact this dealer should I see another car listed that meets my specifications.

"Best Used Car Dealer Ever"

Ive bought two Audis from the owner Olaf Becker in the past 10 years and I recommend him to all my friends when theyre looking for a quality used car at a decent price. I always tell them hes the only honest used car salesman Ive ever met! The first Audi I bought from him rode like a charm for 9 years and I just bought another 2008 model from him and I love it. It feels like a brand new car even though it was ridiculously cheap. I dont know how he does it but I do know from practical experience that he is as honest and reliable as the day is long. Anyone looking for a quality, affordable European import has to stop by and talk to Olaf first. If he doesnt have what you want chances are hell find it for you -- as he did for me.

"First Car Purchase"

I came to this dealership looking for an affordable car. With really no experience in cars or what I was looking for, I am sure I was far from the ideal buyer. Olaf was very patient though and walked me through a number of different options until we found the perfect fit, a 2007 MINI Cooper. I have had the car for two weeks now and couldnt be happier with my choice. I got the car for a great price, it is in excellent condition, and the whole process went very smoothly. I was a little concerned going to the lot after reading the past negative review, but after seeing the inventory Active Auto Sales has to offer, I cant imagine any of the cars being remotely in the conditioned outlined in the previous review. The fact that the person writing the review couldnt spell "scary" with the built in spell check featured on this website was enough of a clue for me to not take it too seriously. Im so glad I tried Active Auto Sales. I am hoping I have my car for a number of years and dont have to go back soon, but I will definitely recommend anyone I know looking for a used car to check it out!

"2004 Volvo Convertible"

we went to look at this car, it was most definitely not as pictured. It is no where near the value listed. Top would not go down, car has been sitting so long one of the tires are low and the brakes are rusting. Car is really dirty, radio is not working because it needs the Volvo code, car had to be jumped just to turn it on. Has obviously been rear-ended as the trunk doesnt line up correctly, bumper is not on correctly and trunk closes badly. It took the sales guy over 10 minutes to come out of his office when we got there. He really didnt know much about the car and kept making excuses that the car has been there for 90 days. Back seat carpet has a hole in it, of which he didnt know about. The dealership itself was scarey. Several camper/motor homes parked on the road and a woman in her PJs going from camper to dealership. It appears these people live there. Could not believe Cotre Madera would allow such a place in the city limits, this place belongs in Oakland.

The owner Olaf is really genuine guy who has been staright with me in my many years of contact with this car dealer. Charlie has also spent time with me trying to fit my needs in the right vehicle. I have puchased two Saabs and a Honda CRV from them and they were all good cars well priced and reasaonably financed.

This was the most straightforward, hassle-free car-buying experience I have ever had. Theres no hard sell, no games-playing, no attempts to slip additional costs into the process or otherwise take advantage of the customer. Quite the opposite. My wife and I were allowed to look at cars without pressure; to drive what we wanted; when we made a choice (a 2009 Saab P-3), Olaf made a good deal on a good car and stuck to it. Well be back, no question.

Bought a 08 Saab here and had a fantastic buying experience. Olaf knows the cars and offers over the top customer service. As excited as I am to have a great car, Im am happier to have found a great dealership. We drove here from Sacramento and will do it again the next time we buy a car.

These guys are great. I purchased a Saab from them over a year ago, at a great price. They also fixed a lock and a ripped drivers seat on my OLD Saab at half the price the dealer wanted. My nephew bought a 9-3 in November and had a great first-time car buying experience. They have solid cars and are so easy to work with. LOVE my cars and will go back again!
