"Unpleasant Attitude In Service Department."
Almost always an unpleasant experience with the service desk rep. I went 20 miles out of town for our last VW just to not have to deal with Lia VW. Too bad, Enfield should be a much better market for VW, and it would be nice for local VW owners to have a better dealership to do business with.
"Service Department Lousy"
Service Dept is Lousy scheduled an appt on a Saturday and I was told this twice only come back on a weekday. I drove 40 minutes and through traffic only to be turned away. Then they said I have to drop of the car on a weekday and not to wait there was not any promise they could have it done in a day now were talking about a rattle. On top of all this the car is covered under warranty and they want me to pay a 150 diagnostic fee and then they will determine if the warranty will cover the service. Why even get the warranty when they can decide if it was a covered service I am still paying payments on this vehicle. Buyer Beware
"Terrible"
Id rather walk than have to buy a car from them. I was shopping for a new car and I went to Lia to look at a cat that was advertised. The car was very dirty, the headliner was full of greasy finger prints. The carpet was muddy. The seats were stained. I went to another dealer VW to purchase a car and ended up with the same car I saw at Lia. The other dealer did not even clean all the mess. Terrible experience from VW. Never again.
"Factory Warranty Service"
Nikole Goodman was my service tech. My car was there for 3 year warranty service. The appointment was on time and they even completed a Manufacturer Recall which I did not think they would have time to do. I made my appointment on-line, chose the waiting for option and am truly satisfied with their service. This is my third Warranty covered service visit to Lia. My original purchase was at Lia VW in Enfield and after researching cars on line and emailing with the sales staff I was extremely pleased with my interaction with them in person. Gave me a good deal, good trade in value for my previous VW Jetta. I would certainly consider another purchase from them in the future.
"Smooth Transaction"
I found this car on cars.com. Its in different state from where I live. I thought I had to go to DMV myself afterward. Turn out they did everything for me. I will just have to wait for the plates in the mail. I bought a car from an individual before. I find that its much easier buying from a dealership. To me I think the dealership has to keep their reputation, so they at least have to make sure the car is ok. The car I bought all the warranty has expired, but Lia will guarantee for 60 days which I dont think I get that buying from individuals. Kyriaki Kazalis was my salesperson. We went for a test drive. Then she explained about the service that was done on the car. Also showed me the carfax. She was very nice and not pushing at all. Just let me decide.
"Nikole Goodman, Service Rep And Tom Holigan, Mgr"
The service staff is superb. Nikole Goodman, Service Representative was marvelous in knowing such critical items as who I was, what work I expected to have done and my personal idiocyncracies such as tire pressures, not overfilling the oil, and whether I would need transportation or be waiting, etc. She had all the paperwork ready as soon as I entered, knew who I was, why I was there, graciously directed me to the lounge and indicated where the coffee and refreshments were. In addition she made sure the Service Manager Tom Holigan had a chance to chat with me in his busy schedule. Later when the service was complete she cordially assisted me. One cannot reasonably ask for better service. All work done correctly the first time, every time I visit. A friendly, courteous and extremely competent Service Group from Service Representative to Service Mgr to all the Service and Parts personnel. Top notch! And better than the old Mercedes-Benz dealership I used to visit back in the 1960s. If your VW needs service, go to LIA VW in Enfield, CT!!! 5 Stars!!!

We just bought a 2012 Tiguan from Lia VW in Enfield. Our salesperson Ryan Peterson was a pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. When we took our test drive he was clear on the information he provided and answered all our questions. He was always professional and continues to be available to answer questions we have about our new vehicle. The overall experience at this dealership was a positive one. All of the staff were friendly and will be back there again when it is time for us to purchase another vehicle.

Went to the dealer to look at a specific vehicle, the vehicle was on hand and exactly as advertised. Working with Ryan, and eventually Chad the General Manager, was extremely easy and efficient. They were flexible with our trade and the purchase price of the car was very fair. Easy deal and best of all my wife loves her new car.
"I Dont Feel I Can Trust The Repair Shop."
I started to take my Beetle to Lia for service in the hopes of building a good relationship, since I love VWs. While I cannot say the work they have done is bad, or the service, I was unnerved because I had taken the car in for something and was called later in the day to let me know all was set, but that they had done a check and they recommended I get new windshield wipers - fair enough, I hadnt replaced in a while, so I said go ahead. All was well until I had to take my car in again not too long after, for a different issue and again, I get the telephone call suggesting that I need new windshield wipers! Didnt they realize they just sold me some?? It makes it very clear that windshield wipers are an upsell, and Lia was not actually looking out for my wellbeing when they suggested I needed them, nor did they even take the time to review my history. I realize that wipers are not the biggest purchase, but I am on a tight budget and this small incident does not allow me to trust they will be honest when I really need them to be. This small incident has already cost Lia a lot of my business (my car is at that age) and I would look elsewhere when I look to trade in.

I had a fantastic experience at Lia VW in Enfield. My Sales Rep Tony was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He did not make us feel pressured and made the buying process very easy. I had seen an ad online and in the newspaper and there were no hidden surprises, everything was as advertised. I would definitely buy from Tony again, and I couldnt be happier with my new VW Passat!

My wife and I found a used car on the Lia Volkswagon website that she really liked. We drove from West Springfield to Enfield to take a look at the car and from the second we walked into the showroom we were treated like royalty. Kimberly greeted us when we came in and introduced us to our Sales Rep Zee(Zaahir Qawi). As both my wife and I are long time members of AARP you can probably guess that between us we have bought many, many vehicles. NEVER, have either one us, had such an easy time as this. Zee, made buying a car so relaxing and enjoyable, it was almost like bought it right from our very own living room. We cant thank Lia Volkswagon enough for the amazing time we had. WE WILL RECOMMEND YOU TO EVERYONE!!!

I went to Lia of Enfield to trade my car in for a newer one. I put money down signed paper work and was told to come back two days later at a certain time to pick up my new car. Two hours before i was to pick up the car i was called to be let known that the deal was a no go and I wouldnt be able to purchase this car. (two hours before pickup!) I was then told to try and purchase a newer car and was even referred to car i really enjoyed. Again signed paper work and was told I would be contacted the next day. Two days later with no call I decided to call the dealership. Again i was told no deal. All and all, huge lack of communication and help here, with little to no information reguarding what went wrong or what to do forgoing a car purchase.

I would never buy a car from the lia again. I purchased a used 2004 passet and was charged for window tinting which the previous owner payed for, which I didnt find out until a mounth. also which adds gasoline to the fire, they removed the dealer sticker and pulled the tinting off and when asked them in repairing it, they said no. beware beware beware. If I broke your store window , you might be a little mad. Remember this note will cost your dealership. each time I get a offer from your dealership

It was a pleasure to work with Tim on my recent purchase. He went out of his way to make himself available to me including providing me with his personal cell phone number in case I needed to reach him when he wasnt at work. The ultimate touch was the extra miles he went to make the delivery easy by picking me up in Branford and bringing me to the showroom on delivery day. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know.
"Check Engine Light"
I was very happy when I bought my car from Lia VW. The sales person was great at helping me find what I wanted and working with me to find a price I can manage. A key factor in buying the car was that I wanted it to be certified (and under warrantee) and still have a good amount of miles left under the power train warrantee, because I was definitely buying pre-owned. Unfortunately, within the first 6 months of having my car the check engine light comes on. I waited a few months because I was told it wasnt a serious issue and was fine to drive with. When I called the dealership, the person I spoke with on the phone was wonderful, describing what the problem was (based on my error codes) and what it meant, as well as what it would cost, nothing! I made an appointment to come in at my next free block in two weeks. When I actually arrived at the shop, it was a very stressful experience. The person at the front desk was telling me they were overbooked with 17 cars and instead of 2 hours it would be all day. To top it off, he said there would be a $50 deductible from the warrantee. Displeased but with few options, I had someone pick me up from the dealership. I called back several hours later, because I had a dog waiting 40 miles away I couldnt realistically leave alone all day. I was annoyed when they said it wasnt even in a bay yet, but relaxed five minutes later when they called back with rental car arrangements. In summary, it was annoying and fell below my expectations (three days later I had to drive the 80 mile round trip to return the car and pick up mine when it was finished). It was somewhat understandable circumstances, though, I would have preferred to be called if they were overbooked and rescheduled before driving out there. They did their best to make up for it with the rental (which was the only reason it worked, as I had work the next day) and by washing my car. Again, I was a little disappointed when they called to tell me it was all set and informed me a headlight was out. I said I knew, I had already bought the bulbs to repair it and theyre in the car, but they didnt go the extra mile to replace it. Not necessary, and I wouldnt pay them to do such a simple job in other circumstances, but because of the inconvenience it would have been a nice touch. The car also idles much louder and doesnt run as smoothly since they replaced the manifold, but I was advised to wait several days and see if this persists before calling again.
"The Worst Dealer Ever"
I trie to buy my Jetta here. I signed a contract Thor a brand new 2011 jetta. Two days later they said they could not get the car, so they voided the contract. I think they felt I had too good a price. ( I used a consumer reports service to get a price). I boughtthe same car30 miles away in west springfield. Since then I have tried to use their service department because they are close to my house. Talk about a disaster. Unorganized and unprofessional, never mind the misdiagnosis costing me more!

I just purchased a new 2013 Volkswagen Eos. I not only love the car, I thought that the Lia dealership treated me like family. They were fantastic. From the general manager, sales person, service people, they all treated me like I was the only customer and took care of every need possible. The service dept was exceptional with Tom, Chris and Nicole.They were very knowledgeable and helpful.I would definelty recommend everyone to this dealership. "Tornado Red Vw Golf"
I needed a new car and planned on looking at the VW Golf, the Ford Focus and the Mazda 3. The first place I went on sunday afternoon was Lia VW. After test driving the Golf, I fell in love with it. The Golf is the perfect car for me. When I asked my salesman,Bill Aitchison, the sticker price, I was taken aback. It was pricey. But, the car was very well equipped with everything from AC, sunroof, touch screen radio, mats (winter & summer) and safety technology that is second to none. I was driving a rental since I had recently totaled my car and we started to talk price. In my opinion, we got a very good reduction off the sticker price and Bill Kazanji, Lias General Manager, sweetened the deal by allowing me to use a new VW Jetta while I waited for Lia to find the Tornado Red 4-door GOLF I just had to have. One day later, Lia called me and said they located my red Golf in New Jersey and by Friday I took delivery. I love the car. I had a small hubcap issue two days later and Lia replaced that with no questions asked. The purchase of my VW Golf was the easiest and friendliest sale I have ever experienced. I never ever made it to the Ford or Mazda dealerships.

In the past 6 months I have bought 2 Jettas from Lia VW. They not only offered us the best prices, but continually provide the best service. We love our Jettas! What else can you ask for?
