Showed up at the dealership to look at couple SUVs not really sure if I wanted to purchase one there was looking for a good deal whatever you do when you go into this dealership or any dealership make sure they only run your name to one no more than two Banks it ruins your credit when they go to 345 and get no after the first two times they should already know not to run it anymore I told the salesman do not run it more than once his answer was he doesnt have nothing to do with that he was asked this before I left and before we begin to negotiate sometimes it makes you wonder how these dealerships continue to operate

Have been dealing with Lone Star since October 2011. As with all dealers their maintenance and repairs are significantly more expensive than local independants. I have not had any significant problems with them, but my chief criticism is that they always seem to under estimate both the time and cost. You never go to the pay window and get presented with a bill reasonably close to what you expect. For example, on recommended maintenance items their book at check in should be the true cost plus tax. The always dream up additional charges such as "shop fees" and other misc. pads. Also the invoice is not simple and straightforward, but is so complicated the girls at the window cannot usually explain all items to you without calling on the service dept. On my last visit,I discussed this with the office manager, but suspect this would require a cultural change not likely to happen.

Surprised about service. Never had issues before. Was having problems with work previously done. Had been playing phone tag with service guy so I went in. Basically told in a dismissive and condescending tone to take my car to another dealership if I did not like the appointment date that I was given. When asked if I should be having same issue after only 4 months told in same manner well it could be something else and they would need to look at it. I have no problems with what I was told but I certainly have a problem with how I was told. I spoke with service manager and GM because this was unacceptable.

Kelvin did a great job communicating with me via email, text, and phone call, answering all my questions, providing additional photos, and keeping me up-to-date on the current status of my vehicle. He was able to provide me a very clear and competitive price for the vehicle and this price was upheld once I actually arrived as the dealership. The folks at Lone Star were exceptionally friendly all-around and made my purchase experience go very smoothly. I had feared getting into a long-winded runaround with the Finance and Insurance associate, but they were actually very understanding of my buying needs and did not create any stressful hurdles in the purchasing process. This was my first time buying a new vehicle on my own. Ive heard so many nightmare stories about car dealerships, but Lone Star Chevrolet truly made the process about as fast and painless as possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car!

"Worse Service Department In The Country!!"
I purchased my last two vehicles from this dealership and will never purchase from there again. I have had several small service issues through out the last 12 years, mostly with service time and the unwilling to help attitude from service personnel. My experience rating started dropping right after I purchased my second vehicle. I purchased the car on a Saturday, and Monday they came out with a 0% finance program and wouldnt even begin to try and put my purchase on the program. I had an issue with my windshield washers not squirting on one side. It took several visits before they somewhat fixed it and charged me over $300. A few months later the same problem returned. Because it was not a "necessity", and I didnt always have the time to wait for service, I didnt get the car back in until it was one year and one week later. They told me they would not look at it because it was over a year since the repair or I would have to pay for the same service again. I ended up taking it somewhere else, paid them to fix it, and have never had an issue with it again. At that time I vowed only to go to Lone Star for oil changes since I had a $9.95 lifetime oil change guarantee. I began making appointments for oil changes since they starting running around 3 hours without an appt. This morning I get there 10 minutes prior to my appt. time. The guy tells me it will be about an hour and a half (which really means about two hours because they always underestimate the time for service). I explained I had an appt and he said that didnt matter. I asked him what the purpose was for making an appt and he couldnt say anything. I told him I wasnt waiting and I would never be back there again. He said ok. I left and went somewhere else without and appt and had my oil changed and an inspection done in 45 minutes. Spending $20 more for my oil change is well worth not having to wait several hours and not having to deal with the "I dont care" service staff.

Steven Grigsby, my salesman, did everything to find me the truck I wanted, he did a dealer trade to get it, and made sure I was satisfied with the whole buying process. The price for the vehicle was close to what I had expected and during financing they even came down some more so I coud reach my calculated monthly payment.Everyone, from the General manager to the receptionist were aways helpful and curteous. With out any doubt it has been the best dealer experience I have ever had.

My salesman recommended me to take it to their touch up guy Ronny. I was skeptical at first because I know what touch ups look like. Came back a few hours later. And wow. He was knowledgeable, friendly, very helpful without being pushy, and turned our casual looking into a happy new customer when we purchased the truck. Then Tim truly went above and beyond the call of duty getting a step installed for us on the truck that worked for my husband (he actually had two different sets of steps installed before we had one that was comfortable for my husband). Amran in financing was very friendly and helpful as well, getting us a great deal with a much better financing rate than we expected along with essentially a no-cost 3 year additional warranty. Lone Star Chevrolet is certainly not the closest dealership to us, but it’s the one we will be referring all our friends to now.
