Overview & Reviews
The XL-7 receives minor updates to the exterior and equipment list. The Touring and Limited models have been renamed EX III and LX III. The front grille and bumper have been reworked, and the foglights, taillights and headlights all have a new look. The front-passenger airbags are now multistage, and there's a new panic button on the keyless remote. Lastly, the V6 engine gets two additional horsepower for a total of 185, and the automatic transmission is now a five-speed unit.
- Affordable base price, competent on- and off-road handling, available seven-passenger seating.
- Cramped second- and third-row seating, dated cabin design, low-grade interior plastics, side airbags not available.

Super SUV - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By rservice - October 4 - 2:00 amThis is my first Suzuki, I previously owned 97 Mercury Mountaineer and was looking for a newer Mountaineer when I saw a Red 04 XL-7 in the mall concourse. I had to walk around it several times, it was so sharp looking. Several months later my husband saw the "Route 66" commercial & suggested I look at the Suzukis. It was like he was reading my mind. Drove one the next day and picked mine up the folling day. I love it!!

Great SUV For The Price - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By Nick - October 3 - 11:43 pmI bought my 2004 Suzuki XL-7 a year ago and absolutely love it. Like others I looked at Toyotas but couldnt afford to get into the $30,000 range. This XL-7 has a car type ride and you can feel the road very well. I must also say there is not much road or wind noise. Its interior is designed very well, although it could be a tad bigger, as sometimes you can feel squashed. I have had 3 SUVs, including a Toyota 4-Runner, and I would take the XL-7 over them any day. I paid $19,200 for this vehicle with automatic climate control, heated mirrors, cruise, tilt, etc. I suggest you drive one before settling on any other SUV.

This SUV is sweet! - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By skaterizme - May 18 - 10:00 amI was considering the Santa Fe, then I had eyes on the Highlander but for $5,000 less, beautiful cloth interior, (Highlanders cloth interior was cheap- looking)nice, smooth, quiet test drive, I was very impressed with this SUV. I was also able to get the dealer to go with their listed internet price and purchased this SUV for less than it originally was listed for - it pays to do your homework. If you want a nice, reliable, roomy SUV, test drive the XL- 7 and you too, will be impressed!

Durable but Needs to have a Better Ride - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By Trish - February 15 - 10:10 pmI enjoy driving my XL-7 around town but do not like taking it on long trips due to the rough ride. The ride is very bumpy and uncomfortable. I read that the 07 model will have a smoother ride. If thats the case I wouldnt hesitate to consider purchasing one. The price and warranty are good. Its reliability is good. I have not had any problems.

suzuki xl7 - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By j34half - January 21 - 2:00 amI love my XL 7!. Its a fun to drive vehicle.Contrary to the reviews ,I find that my XL 7 has infinite possibities for cargo and passengers. The third row seating converts in a second to flat storage after shopping and changes back to a bench just as quick for toting the kids carpool. Seriously, the 3rd row is cramped for adults but fine for children. Its compromise between storage and extra seating. This is my ninth new car purchase and by far, my favorite.
