A new braking system with carbon-ceramic discs is available as an option for the 2006 Lamborghini Murcielago. It's said to provide shorter stopping distances, increased resistance to fade and longer service intervals than the standard brake setup. Other new options this year include the Carbon Package and the Branding Package.
- Endless V12 power, celebrity presence, seductive engine and exhaust noises, confident handling at the limit.
- A bit on the portly side, sexy body lines make for poor visibility, balky convertible top.

By The #1 Lamborghini - June 16 - 10:53 amI have owned both the Gallardo and the Murcielago. The extra money spent on the Murcielago is really worth it!! The Gallardo (baby Lambo) is nice and performs well but feels like the cheap version. The Murcielago is something they went the extra mile in! The quality, fit and finish and fun factor are a few that makes it #1.

By Jeff - December 22 - 5:06 amI will say.. for the money spent on it, Im not as impressed as I should be. The engine has had a few thousand dollars worth the problems in the last few months, the exterior design is a little boxy, riding comfort isnt spectacular. The performance is amazing obviously, really throws you back in your seat. Paint chips kind of easily. The shift is smooth but my tranny has already gone once. Gears wear down a little fast. Needs better brake pads, Ive been replacing them every few thousand miles. Gas is horrible, but I couldnt give it a 1 because it IS a 12 cylinder.
