The Sorento is an all-new SUV from Kia. Larger and more powerful than the pint-size Sportage (which is expected to return for 2004 after a 2003 hiatus, by the way), the Sorento straddles the emerging middle ground between small SUVs and midsize SUVs. And it does so while offering interested buyers true off-road ability. Key competitors are the Ford Escape, the Honda CR-V, the Jeep Liberty, the Nissan Xterra and the Toyota Highlander.

  Most car for the Money - 2003 Kia Sorento

  I installed a higher cranking amp battery and havent replaced any lights since. At 99400 miles the rear U-joint caused vibration at higher speeds then at low speed. It was replaced fully under warranty. In fact, KIA replaced the total driveshaft and support bushing with all related parts free. These reports stating bad warranty are incorrect. KIA is very good! Another car with the same equipment would cost over $30,000.00 compared to $20,000.00 for a new 09 Sorento. Great car fun to drive sure feeling great pickup. Not easy on gas though. Only draw back.

  I just picked up my Sorento last night and Im sooo happy I ditched my minivan for a Sorento! I went grocery shopping right after picking up my Kia, parked right next to a Lexus SUV; I think my car looks just as nice! I looked long and hard at Jeep, Toyota, and Mazda before getting a Kia. I challenge anyone to try get as much from those guys (Jeep, Toyota, or Mazda) for $25,000 as you get in a Sorento EX.

  A very nice vehicle to drive, it loves to speed to an easy 70 mph. Youll need to keep an eye for the gas pedal; very soft.

  Ive only owned this suv a few months, but Im very pleased so far. I think it rides very nice, more like a carlike ride and handles nice. I also like the fact that it has a full frame, not a unibody like most suvs in this class or in a more expensive class for the matter. I think the quality is comparable to GM, and maybe better in some areas. I was somewhat hesistant to buy a Kia at first, but for the price I couldnt resist and am glad I did so far.

  The Sorento has style class and luxury at a reasonable price us working class people can afford. The service at the dealer ship is great! The Sorento has a lot of great features on its Lx model and you feel good cruzin down the road! Ilove my Sorento! Its the second Kia I have owned!

  When originally shopping for a SUV, my wife and I were looking at Tahoes, Expeditions and the like.A Toyota Highlander at the least. We test drove a Sorento just because my wife thought it was "cute". Well, after testing everything else out there, I was floored after driving the Sorento. This was too good to be true. We have been on vacation to another state since we bought our Kia. I still cant believe how good this thing is. Smartest decision of my life(except for marrying my wife). Kia. Who would have thought?

  Great Little Truck - 2003 Kia Sorento

  I bought this truck because of Nebraska Winters, its 4WD is what i needed to get through. Ive NEVER had an issue with this truck. Only thing ive done is replace the battery and a blinker bulb! With reg oil changes ive had zero engine trouble. I bought it with 47,000 miles on it and am now at over 124,000 miles. It still runs like the day i bought it! I would recommend a Kia Sorento to anyone who is looking for a great 4WD. On highway travel i can get close to 27 MPG.

  HAVE OWNED MANY NEW AUTOS, FROM MARK 7S CADILLACS, BONNIEVILLES ETC. THIS EX MODEL HAS EVERYTHING. IT HAS TO BE A CLONE OF THE RX300. THE QUALITY IS AS GOOD AS THE RX300 WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE LEATHER SEATS. ONLY 1" DIFFERENCE IN THE LENGTH, 300 LBS HEAVER, 20 HP LESS AND $14,000 LESS. VERY NICE RIDE AND THE POWER IS NOT LACKING FOR A V6. I STILL CAN BELEIVE HOW GREAT A CAR IT IS FOR THE PRICE.

  Just purchased, only 110 miles so far. Best Bang for the buck out there!! Only time will tell on quality, but as of now.. I couldnt be happier. Fit and finish seems outstanding, no rattles or stange noises. My choices were a Kia or a 99 Merceded ML320. Features were the same, price was the same. I had to go with the warranty.
