Overview & Reviews
A new XJ Sport trim debuts, which melds elements of the XJ8 and XJR. Additionally, the Vanden Plas Supercharged model -- previously available only on special order -- is now a regular-production sedan, called Super V8. The long-wheelbase XJ8L is discontinued.
- Powerful supercharged V8 engine, aggressive and sexy look, sport-tuned suspension.
- Classic British interior might be too cramped for some people, aged chassis and structure.

Not Allergic to this Cat - 2002 Jaguar XJ-Series
By Impressive Cat - October 7 - 4:06 pmOverall very pleased and impressed with this vehicle. As a first-time Jag owner, had not considered a Jag in the past, had previously owned MB, Audi. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this vehicle. So far, my ownership experience has been great and has exceeded my expectations!

My Last Jaguar! - 2002 Jaguar XJ-Series
By rollsroyceowner - June 12 - 12:10 pmI have owned many Jaguars through the years and have had great experiences with the exception of my 1989 XJ6 (it had all the problems that series was notorious for) and my current 2002 XJ Sport. My current Jaguar is a 42,000 mile, Carfax clean, two owner, fully dealer serviced car since new. Despite proper pedigree, it is a complete money pit! Past three months: Failed power seat module, $800. Two failed power window switches, $250 each. Failed power steering pump, on and on. The latest repair is the most insulting. At only 42,000 miles, the flywheel cracked and began rubbing on the bell housing. That repair plus two failed sensors, $1500. Get a warranty or stay far away!

Love My 2nd XJR - 2002 Jaguar XJ-Series
By Randy Walker - September 6 - 8:33 amMy favorite car every. I loved my straight 6 cyl supercharged 97 but this 02 is even better. Unlimited smooth instant rear wheel power with fully defeatable trac. Light them up through 3rd! Perfect for dad with a few kids. Great everyday driver!! Tires and brakes are pricey. I have 94k as of now, bought with 19k. Highly maintained all services and drives so well I find myself leaving the music off just to hear the engine and car itself. Nothing drives like this car. I have come close to wrecking cheap rental cars many times. Tires squeal when I am turning and braking. Seems I wait to long too turn and wait too long to brake in thise cheap cars.

And what more could you ask for? - 2002 Jaguar XJ-Series
By Steve Mitchell - February 17 - 10:00 amDue to recent tax changes for company car users in the UK its now time to buy my own for the first time in 20 years.I have had the fortune to run an XJR in 1998 as a company supplied vehicle so when the decision had to be made on the first self purchased car there was only one option! Ive now bought a 1998 XJR 23000 miles on the clock and its like sittin gin my favourite chair after a gap of 4 years in Teutonic boredom chariots! No good mentioning shortcomings...too late as the new one is just around the corner..besides I dont play golf and dont sit in the back.

WOW! - 2002 Jaguar XJ-Series
By thebigone - May 13 - 10:00 amThe Jaguar XJR100 is one fine vehicle. It rides like a dream and looks great. I have had this car for only one week and the car has had absolutely no problem. Ford has really turned Jaguar around. I strongly suggest you look into a Jaguar for your next car.
