  • Best bang for the buck - 1991 Ford Mustang

Great car! Reliable, strong, stout. Baby it and gas mileage isnt bad. Look for one thats not abused or heavily modified. Automatics tend to slip at around 140,000. Seating position is the the best. Average. Build quality isnt great. Motor and trans are top notch and a straight body is durable. Be careful driving in the rain and forget driving in the snow. A a clean example will hold its value. Its a fun car to drive. Its a mustang so you will get some attention. Very little problems with it. Rear main seal may leak, not expensive to repair. Thats also a plus! Up keep is very affordable. Repairs are easy and inexpensive. Great buy!

I got my Mustang a little after my 16th birthday. it has been great. The only problem so far was we had to replace that battery. A few problems her and there, but it is expected with an older car. nothing very serious or expensive!

  • My Notch Back 5.0 - 1991 Ford Mustang
    By -

The Notch Back, Slick Top, Coupe, are the few names this car has been given. This car is the most sought-after by anyone who loves late model Mustangs. Its reputation for being quick, aggressive lane-cuters served the High Way Patrol across the country. Its trunk lid body style makes it lighter by few hundred lbs. It gets attention without asking. You will be asked if you want to sell it. Your reply should be "No, its a keeper" The engine need not any drastic Mods. Upgrade the exhaust youll be glad you did. If you own one dont be wreckless. Ive seen wrecked ones on a flat bed. Over all I love this car. Its going to be a rare car.

  • Fox-body at its best... - 1991 Ford Mustang

Great car. Built very well, never had any problems other than the usual replacing of water pump, hoses, and alternator after 80 or so thousand miles of driving. The alternator was actually due to not being able to handle my 750w amp and sound system. Vehicle is very easy to work on. Very light. Cant stress that enough, especially compared to todays vehicles. Not nearly as comfortable, but it does have something that todays cars lack, and thats raw excitement. Nothing today feels like the way you do when you stomp on the throttle and hear the 5.0 roar as it sinks you back and makes you feel as if your car is tearing through the wind and clawing at the asphalt. Very exciting.

  • Family owned since new. - 1991 Ford Mustang

My wifes brother bought this car new. He gave it to our daughter when she turned 16. She drove it 3 years until her employer bought her a new pickup in 2007. She then gave it to our 16 year son. With the exception of several brake jobs and a few batteries It has done well. It now has 116K miles on it. It runs well, other than regular maintaince the drive train is untouched. It has had some cosmetic work (paint, upolstery, & top redone.) It has been a great car that the whole family has had fun with. Not too many cars last a buyer this long.

  • Great deal - great looks - 1991 Ford Mustang
    By -

I bought this car years ago, from first owner who really cared for it. It had 135k miles, but looked great and ran really well. Owned as a second car, only put 20 k miles in 5 years, but never had any problems (surprised at the quality since everyone complains about American cars, me included!). If you can find a clean one they are a great ride, very fun and economical compared to the GTs that are usually beat, and eat gas. Great looks too!

  • SWEET! - 1991 Ford Mustang

The car is super fast! The handling is great, as well as everything else. 225 horse doesnt sound like much, but it uses all of them. Thats for sure. If you find one with power everything, moon roof, and a five speed, its like driving a really fast Caddy. Overall this truly is the best bang for your buck. I found mine for an even $3,000. It looks like it rolled off of the showroom floor. The best part is that with minor mods you can put this car in to the 300+ horsepower range. In 91 the engine is better than later years. You can also find parts much easier for this year.

  • Great Used car - 1991 Ford Mustang

If you are looking for a reliable used car, this is it. Very few problems if you maintain your car. Will only cost you money if you upgrade performance constantly, which usually happens.

  • Even the Fox Body still has IT - 1991 Ford Mustang
    By -

I bought my LX convertible from a guy that refurbished the entire body and had the car repainted bringing it back to its luster of 14 yrs ago. The car has less power then I thought but that might be the age showing. Still drives smooth which at this point is what I wanted in a gas saver vehicle.
