1995 Dakota SLT Automatic with OD 3.9 - 1995 Dodge Dakota
By stlramsfan - November 28 - 11:19 pmI got this truck about three weeks ago and I think it all ready deserves a good review. I got this truck from a friend of my grandpa, his grandson had busted out the cab glass and passenger side window, so he decided that he would give it to me for free questioning if it still runs. It had sat for two years, so I pulled it home, hooked up a battery not expecting anything but trouble and to my surprise with two year old gas it fired right up. Ive now drove it about 700 miles, and can say there are no problems with 189,000 miles on it. I can say it gets about 20 in town 25+ on the highway, I have either 323/355 gears the owners manual didnt give the exact gears but it has plenty of power.

Love This Truck - 1995 Dodge Dakota
By Sailorboy3309 - April 22 - 11:20 amI got this truck from my grandmother after my grandfather passed away. I used it for 2 years then put it in the back yard when I bought my 02 Ford Focus. I never had a problem with the truck but had constant problems with the car. I joined the navy a year ago and sold the car because I wouldnt need it. I just got back home and went to my grandmothers house and saw my old truck back there and offered to buy it again from her because it was so great. I only have to replace a battery and after all the years it hasnt been run I started it up and she runs great. I also had a flowmaster exhaust put on her and boy does she purrrr. I love this thing.

Great Truck - 1995 Dodge Dakota
By Gavin - January 27 - 2:20 pmI loved this truck from day one. I need to write a review now that I had to get a diffrent one. My family grew. Where can you find a truck that gets 18-19mpg at 85mph & get 17.5mpg pulling 1500lbs and Ive put about 1700Ibs in the bed and still have alot of power if the ac is on? This Dakota youll find it.The 318 I think is was ahead of its time. It is one my favorite motors I have ever had. The 5 speed manual is great as well. This truck handles just great. It went up against every task I asked of it and never broke down. It was very compfortable as well. I rode in a Galant and when I got back in my truck it was like sitting on the couch again. I truly loved this truck.

Awesome truck! - 1995 Dodge Dakota
By gavin - November 21 - 5:20 pmI bought this truck when it had 82300. I loved it. I have sold because we had a baby. But I really enjoyed it. I had the 5.2 with 5speed manual. It had a lot of power for the truck. Gas mileage was great. It would get 20 on the highway easy if empty. I towed a trailer and had a load total of about 1200 to 1500 pounds. I drove 240 miles at 75 to 85 and it still pulled out 17.5 mpg. You dont find that very often. Just be sure to take care of it and itll take care of you. My first problem was at125k with a fuel pump, than after that at146k. But over all a awesome truck! This truck was one of my very favorites. Youll enjoy it!

Second time around - 1995 Dodge Dakota
By Superdj - November 12 - 7:50 pmI purchased this truck from a co-worker who had it brand new from the dealer. I had a 1988 LE and loved it except for the lousy leg room. With the extended cab, I am comfortable and secure in it at all times. the V6 has all the power i need and then some!

Gonna miss my Dodge - 1995 Dodge Dakota
By Loved My Truck - November 3 - 7:20 pmThis was a great truck. I bought it with 65,000 miles on it from a private owner here in Michigan and it may have been the best vehicle I have ever owned. Finally, at 152,000 miles, the repair to the main oil seal and other small stuff it needs are too much for the value of the truck. Time to put her out to pasture.

i love my truck - 1995 Dodge Dakota
By chee wee - August 13 - 11:42 pmi bought my 95 sport extd cab with 219,xxx on it from a good friend of mine who had owned it for 8 years and for its age and miles it is a great truck i have had it for 2 1/2 months and have put 5,000 on her so far and the only problem i have had is the master cylinder just went out oh well it cost me $50 to replace since i have had the truck it has not let me down the 3.9 has pulled everything i have put in it and behind it on my 14 ft double axle trailer has good power and rides pretty good for a small truck although i plan on beefing up the suspension and putting some bigger tires on the 215/75/15 aint good enough for me

Another Dodge lemon... What a pc of POO! - 1995 Dodge Dakota
By Whammo77 - May 27 - 11:12 amI got this truck NEW & have always had problems with it. The motor runs good but has no power whatsoever (this is the "MAGNUM" v6 model). Having a towing package on this thing is a waste of money. The thing is slower than slow. A Geo metro 3-banger can outrun this turtle. My 4 cylinder Sentra looks and feels like a race car compared to this truck! But thats the good news. I now have 122,000 miles on it, and I am yet again about to put in another transmission! This will be transmission #7! No, I dont pull trailers. No, I dont go off-roading! No, I dont haul heavy loads! All this truck is used for is to drive to and from work! I baby the heck out of it! What a pc of dog poo!!!
