  • Hope I dont regret purchase... - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
    By -

Purchased LT Traverse August 2017. Had Traverse back to dealer after owning literally a week and a half as the brake assist turned on when driving in town at 35 MPH and coming to a stop slowly. Additionally, received transmission error following day. Apparently connector issue, and was fixed. One week later brake assist came on again. Dealership indicated software update should resolve issue. Now Engine has been much louder when sitting idle, as it seems that the Stop/Start function is not working properly since software update. Other than these major issues, vehicle has more space than older model; better storage space in rear. This vehicle has more features that are electric powered, and hoping there are no major issues. I recommend the extended warranty, even if buying brand new. Im regretting not purchasing now.

  • So long Acadia, Hello Traverse - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
    By -

I have been nothing but impressed with my new 2018 Chevy Traverse. Over the past 9 years, I have owned two GMC Acadias and was about to purchase my third when I saw the specs on the new Traverse. I was very disappointed with the look of the new Acadia and more importantly the fact that they shrunk the size. The reasons I preferred the Acadia in the past are now the reasons I prefer the Traverse; more of an SUV body style, more leg room and especially more cargo room behind the 3rd row seat. The added entertainment and safety features have also been a very nice addition.

  • WOW - what a difference 2103 vs. 2018 Traverse - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
    By -

We spent a couple months looking at all the 7 passenger options. (We had a 2013 Traverse - but had several concerns). The 2018 fixed them all and then added more capabilities and features. We knew you can get a great deal on a 2017 but waited for the 2018. Glad we did. In the end we decided on the Premier, but the dealer parked the Premier and High Country in the Iridescent White Paint option next to each other. For the small ($51k vs. $54k) price difference we went with the HIgh Country. I love the additional safety feature like adaptive cruise, etc. We also liked the interior color combination, polished aluminum wheels, twin rear axle clutch, power third row, and exterior trim. In our opinion, since we were spending that much money, and plan on keeping it a few years - why not. The dealer also closed the gap by providing a larger discount.

  • Nice improvement, but drivers seat is lacking - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
    By -

The car is improved in all but one criteria - where the old drivers seat (and also the passengers) was hard it was still good for long distance, the new one is softer and feels more comfortable until you are in it for more than 15 minutes. thats when it becomes apparent that the bottom cushion is now way short, and the bottom cushion side thigh support have been cut even shorter. my right foot got tired in 15 minutes - this is the same reason why i got rid of my Malibu after just 4 months. I could easily pay another $500 just to have Chevy make a better bottom cushion (Chevy if you need help go to Nissan and get theirs straight from the Altima). with 3 kids i need something this size, and the seat is a deal breaker - we will not be replacing tour 2016 Traverse with the new one sadly (unless GM fixes this quickly).

  • New Traverse v Outgoing Model! - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

2018LT v 2015LT Traverse First Impressions: The ’18 is noticeably longer, especially in White. 310HP much peppier than ’15 281. Transmission 9 Speed, no comparison, the old 6-speed was ‘clunky’ especially down shifting up a steep hill. Power Liftgate, standard on LT the ’15 was like breaking into a safe; chronic GM problem. Access to 3rd Row seat much better, roomier. ’18 Ride taunt and smooth, fantastic. ’15 was very good but much more ‘bouncy’. Steering Wheel smaller great size ’15 truck-size. Upgraded climate control system, dial in a temperature, dual zones and heated seats. Upgrade touch screens, colorful compared to ’15 black and white version. AWD-FWD-OFF Road transmission dial great, will save fuel in FWD mode. Stop-Engine Seem-less. Heated Seats, Remote Start, Cross Traffic and Backup Camera included in the LT. So far great vehicle only have 40 miles on it! I stole the ’18! Lease it for only $277 36mo 10K year. Put down only $2000 and first month payment…that included all the NYS Taxes ($1100). Marchase Chevrolet West Point Area worked their magic! It is amazing—Most Leases will pay about a hundred dollars more $375 month with a sticker Deal @ $415. Here is how I did it for $277 month • GM Card had $1000 over the years I have cashed in 12G’s on many vehicles • GM step ahead 4 months waived • Dealer bought out the ’15 Traverse from GM and created $1900 of equity for me! Vehicle was immaculate a 10 • GM Bonus $1500 with Step-A-Head ended November 30th • Competitor Cash since I owned Acura $750…think that is accurate • Loyalty GM Cash $500 • Dealer’s traditional discount • Discounts totaled about $7,700

  • Cant believe I chose a Chevy! - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

Wife and I went to the dealership as part of due diligence to "rule out" the Traverse because it was in our price range as an available 3-Row vehicle for the family. Immediately upon beginning the test-drive, it was clear this was a game changing vehicle. Astonished, my wife and I left the dealership to go re-drive a couple SUVs we had previously considered. There was no doubt the redesigned 2018 Traverse was going to be our next vehicle. Smooth ride, unbelievably smooth transmission (smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy?) told a story of being a luxury vehicle - Even the interior materials seemed beyond the price tag of this vehicle. Fit and finish of all internal mechanisms just seemed premium. We were blown away. At the end of the day, we figured the LT Cloth version with the Driver Comfort and Convenience Package offered the best value among the various trims and we took him home. I might have opted for a vehicle with leather but as this is to be my wifes daily driver, she did not care either way. We are an average family without any buyers remorse or regrets on this vehicle purchase. Hope this review helps others out there considering the many offerings in this price range and class.

  • lots of room in a user friendly package - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
    By -

Amazing volume inside, room for everything. Very comfortable ride, responsive especially considering the size of the vehicle. Good steering, brakes. Found transmission very effective, did not jump gears too much on twisting holy back road lanes. Engine has solid power, moves the vehicle with good authority.Handled bumps large and small with aplomb. Seats comfy, start stop feature presented no difficulties or balkiness. Wife commented that the car drove a lot smaller than its size.

  • Hi Tech Hauler - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse

Traded a really good Ford Escape for the Traverse because my wife wanted more seats and cargo room. Test drove many 7 passenger SUVS but the Traverse had the best combo of room and features. Immediately took it on an extensive road trip out west and it performed like a champ. Better driving characteristics than more expensive SUVs. Better gas mileage than I expected: 24.6 combined, doing 75-80 on the highway.

  • New model traverse! - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
    By -

Great car, I love just about everything about it. The one thing I am disappointed in is the interior color. I dont care for the 2 tone color schemes and black was the only solid. Ive never had a black interior before and now I know why. Its VERY dark. Would never get it again.

  • Real SUV - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
    By -

First 2018 Traverse the dealer sold. I wanted AWD and trailer pkg and they had one, most dealers didnt. I had good highway mileage, 27 mpg, and used it off road on gravel and stone roads in the hills of WV with no issues. Ive just had it a month but am very pleased with the new Traverse so far. Even had 6 adults in it and no one complained.
