Overview & Reviews
Detail changes carry the Cadillac STS into 2009. Among them are Bluetooth capability for non-navigation-equipped cars and the adoption of a tire inflator kit to replace the compact spare, though the latter remains optional.
- Low price for a full-size luxury sport sedan, powerful base engine, nimble road feel for such a large car, all-wheel drive offered with both engines, superb optional Bose stereo.
- Sporty front seats might be too firm for some posteriors, some mediocre interior plastics, smallish trunk, V8 model makes little sense.

I will never own another Cadillac after owning 2, a CTS and STS - 2009 Cadillac STS
By Michael Rose - August 29 - 6:26 pmMy 84 year old grandmother bought and drove the STS and babied it and had meticulous maintenance done until she died. I took the Cadillac with 60,00 miles and now has 85,00 miles and is the shop every month or two getting major very expensive repairs done. Just a headlignt that needed to be replaced and only available through dealership was $1,800. I had to replace both catalytic converters and dealer wanted $2,400. Manifolds had to be replaced and were extremely expensive. My CTS I got rid of after the computer died three times and is $1,300 each time. I will never buy another chevy or Cadillac EVER!!! My new Ford Mustang GT is just incredible and an awesome vehicle and one I can trust to never breakdown and should get 200 to 300 K easy. Please do your research before buying one of the worst cars made in America, the Cadillac...

Best Cadillac Ive ever owned! - 2009 Cadillac STS
By Thomas Pascucci - January 13 - 8:52 amThis car is a great road car with all the power you need to take on all challengers. Bought mine used with low miles from a man who meticulously kept it in pristine condition and I intend to following his footsteps.

An Underrated (V8) car that well miss - 2009 Cadillac STS
By cadillacmike - December 29 - 12:35 amWhile the CTS is the darling sport sedan from Cadillac, the STS was a more refined car with more room, and power (with the NorthStar V8) and better egronomics with regard to the memory seat and wheel recall functions. We have both a CTS (2008 premium ed) and an STS (2009 Platinum ed), so can compare them both. We also had a 2005 CTS and two (still have 1) LT1 Fleetwood Broughams, so weve had a few Cadillacs in recent years Handling and performance are equal to or superior to the CTS, particularly with NorthStar & the wide 255mm 18" rear tires (CTS has 235mm front & rear) Interior room is better and the single glass sunroof is quieter. 15 speaker Bose system is very powerful and clear.
